In this personal‑development monologue, the speaker frames limiting beliefs as a Sisyphean struggle—repeatedly pushing a boulder uphill only to have it roll back. She proposes three concrete actions to break the cycle and make lasting change. First, she advises a self‑audit to identify which thoughts and behaviors are helping versus hindering progress. Second, she urges digging into the root cause of the hindering beliefs—whether childhood trauma, critical comments, or other deep‑seated resistance—and recommends therapeutic or personal‑growth work to release them. Third, she suggests constructing a new plan that includes upskilling, reshaping one’s environment, and surrounding oneself with supportive people to create conditions for success. Throughout, she illustrates the process with her own weight‑loss and mental‑clarity journey, emphasizing incremental progress over endless struggle. The talk concludes with an invitation to return for more mindset content.

Do you ever feel like Sisyphus when you try to deal with your limiting beliefs or your negative thoughts? Like you only get to a certain point and then boom, everything comes back again. Today I'm going to share with you 3 ways that you can make that change so it sticks. Stay tuned. So you have those limiting beliefs, um, whatever they may be. It could be that you're not enough, it could be that you're not capable, it could be that you were not meant to do XYZ. And we have to, in order to succeed, be able to get over those limiting beliefs, right? Because at the end of the day, what happens between the 6 inches between our ears, really, we can control that. So you can find a way to change your own narrative so that it supports you instead of getting in your way. You just kind of have to change your approach. So the 3 things that you can do differently is first, identify what's working and what's not working. So there are moments when you're on the ball, right? You are not paying attention to that limiting belief, you're moving forward. And there are others where it's absolutely kind of getting in your way. So What is going on at each of those times? Identify what is working for you, what is not working for you, so then you can address the things that are not working for you. You clearly don't want to get rid of everything that you're doing because if there are some things that are working, you want to make sure you keep those. But you want to also make sure that you get rid of the things that aren't working. So number 2 is once you know what it is that's not working, figure out what the root cause is. What is your resistance to this specific thing that is getting in your way? Maybe it's, you know, some childhood trauma that needs to be resolved. Maybe it was something a coworker or a parent or an uncle or whatever it was said to you that really hit deep inside you that you now need to find a way to cleanse and to release. Um, that's not something that I can do, but I can definitely let you know that this is something that you do need to do, okay? Because if you don't get rid of that inner, um, resistance, you're never going to be able to move forward. I'll give you a little example in my life. You know, I've been trying to lose weight for years and get healthier, and I'm still trying to declutter all of the thoughts that are in the back of my head. I know what works. I also know how I'm getting in my own way, and little by little I am chipping away at the block so that I can continue to move forward, and I don't feel like I'm continuously pushing that boulder uphill and knowing that I'll never get there. So just identify that resistance and find someone, whether it's through therapy, through your own growth, through your own development, find a way to deal with it in a way that's going to be supportive. And then the third one is, once you know what's not working, you're working through your resistance, make a new plan, right? Are there skills that you need to uplevel? Are there new people you need to surround yourself with that are going to uplift you, that are going to support you, that are going to put that wind in your sail that you need when your motivation sometimes goes down a little bit. And then what are some of the situations that you need to either eliminate from your life or that you need to add into your life so you put yourself in a position of success instead of a position of potential failure? So those are the 3 things that I wanted to share with you today. I hope that you found it helpful. Come back next week, we'll have more on mindset, personal development, and all of this good stuff, and I look forward to seeing you soon. Take care, bye!
