Hey guys, this is Alex. Welcome to Your Daily Oomph! It's taken me all week to record this video, and when I finally came down to it, I looked at this. I don't know if you guys can see it, so I'm going to bring it a little bit closer. This is some of the leftover ashes, coal, from my firewalking experience this summer, this past summer. And I've been hemming and hawing about making this video all week because I've been scared to put myself out there. I've been afraid of what people might think. I've been wondering if people want to hear what the hell I have to say. And then I decided that if I can walk on fire, I sure as hell can make a damn video. So here goes, guys. This is gonna be called The Daily Oomph, and what The Daily Oomph is really going to be about is really just my random thoughts on some quotes that I'm going to be posting on my Facebook page. It's— well, it's on my Make It Count page on Facebook. It's not really on my Facebook page, but technicalities. You guys can check it out later. So I have 3 quotes for you guys today, and the first quote is this: Let go of the past, enjoy the present, and look forward to what the future may bring. Or actually, look forward to what tomorrow may bring. Um, let go of the past. Let it go. Be done with it. Learn your lessons. Be finished. It's not meant for us to live there. I know I live there sometimes, and I hate being there. So make a conscious effort. You see yourself going back to the past, forget it. Just walk away. Walk away and come back to where you are today. Come back to the present. Come back to the moment. Come back to your family, your friends, so that you can enjoy them, you can enjoy the moment, and you can fully be in that moment with them. Okay? And look forward to tomorrow. I mean, there's so much awesome stuff out there these days. There's so much that we can do. There is so many people, there's so many people that we can impact. There's so just— there's— the future is yours. The future is ours. We can make it anything we want it to be. Do that. Make it, you know, take a risk, take a chance, get out there and have some fun. Just enjoy it because this actually relates to the second quote, which is, "Life is a journey. You can make it a painful one or a playful one, and it's really your choice." Okay, so what are you going to choose? You're going to choose to sit there and be miserable? You're going to choose to sit there and, you know, wallow in your in your misery, or are you going to take life by the horns, grab the bull by the horns and go out there and just have some fun? Just have fun with life. Life is not meant to be something that gets handed to you. It's not meant something that you just kind of exist through. It's really about living and it's about making a difference. And having fun while you're doing it. So choose wisely. You know, we have all, you know, 60+ years, 70+ years, 80+ years. God only knows how long we're going to live. You know, how long do you want to live being miserable? Just go out there, have some fun, make a difference, be in the moment, and enjoy the people that you're with. And while you're doing that, don't forget to be mindful of your self-talk because it's a conversation with the universe. So what you tell yourself, you're listening, the universe is listening. One of the things I came to realize in the last few months, and no matter how much I try not to, um, I actually have had no choice but to admit that it is indeed true, is that the universe is conspiring in our favor. Okay, every situation that I've been in where I expected the worst actually turned out okay. They turned out better than okay. So be mindful of what you tell yourself. Put good juju out in the universe, you know, think good thoughts and watch those things come back to you tenfold, twentyfold, a hundredfold. So be mindful, be careful, because you are listening and you want to listen to the right things. And if you're not telling yourself the right things, don't believe what you're saying. Because you're not saying the truth and you're not telling yourself the truth. So that's it for today. Justin and I are gonna go out and grab a bite to eat. It's New Year's Eve for us, so I wish you guys a very, very happy 2017. I hope all your dreams come true. I hope you set some kick-ass goals, and I hope you go out there and you try to hit those goals every single day. And I look forward to seeing you next year and to see the kind of person you blossom into. So have a good one, guys. Happy New Year, and I'll see you next year, which will be tomorrow. Bye!
