Kit Cassingham separates foundational values like honesty from growth values you develop as you discover your mission. Foundational values are who you are. Growth values are who you're becoming.

there are values that are foundational versus growth values. So when I think about a foundational value, I think about things like honesty, trustworthiness, things that are really at the core of, of who we are and who make up who we are. And then the growth values are those values that we strive to embody as we grow into the person that we want to become, because with growth or with life, the whole reason why we're here is so we can grow, is so we can have new experiences, is so that we can make the difference that we are here to make. And we're not born, or we don't grow up with those values because we don't really necessarily know what those are until we know what our mission is.
