My honey and I went on a power coupling world domination getaway recently. This is something that we do every quarter, and it's a time where we get to review our goals and recalibrate where we are compared to our goals. He has his personal goals, I have mine, and we have our goals as a couple. We talk about our health, our businesses, what we need to accomplish, and how we can best support each other. And the one topic that always comes on the table is the topic of us. It's a way that we stay connected, and we ask difficult questions. Are we happy in the relationship? Are we doing things that make the other person not so happy? What are we doing that they want us to do more of? By staying connected and by having that ritual of taking the temperature of the relationship, we're getting stronger and stronger every time. We've been together for 12 years, and I can only imagine how much better it's going to be now that we have those regular checkup times and check-in times.
