Alex reframes self-worth for women going through divorce, arguing that your value isn't tied to what you do or your marital status. She contrasts masculine energy, which proves worth through productivity, with feminine energy, which trusts worth already exists. A 10-minute mindfulness practice helps you experience that expansion.

Divorce can strip away titles, roles, routines, but it can never touch your worth. Hi there, Alex here. Welcome to today's 3-minute reframe. After we go through a divorce, it's easy to wonder, who am I without this marriage, without my home, without this whole identity that is built around being a wife? And that's the masculine energy in you that is searching for proof, something to do, something to achieve, to prove that there is still value there. But here's the truth: your worth is never up for negotiation. Softness isn't weakness. It's the strength that allows you to rise again, not as who you were when you were in that marriage wearing that label, but as the person that you were always meant to be. So I want to share 3 ideas to help to reframe things a little bit, and the first one is This. Your worth is not defined by your work, your relationship status, whether or not you're somebody's wife, or how much you can juggle as a newly single woman. Your worth is in your humanity, in who you are. It's in your resilience, in your presence, in simply being. Idea number 2: even if you didn't do anything special today, even if you didn't do anything today, that does not change whether or not you're worthy. Know this: divorce doesn't erase who you are. It invites you to figure out for yourself who you are without all the doing and without all of the labels. And the third idea is this: masculine energy is going to constantly ask you to push into the doing. As a way to prove your worth. But feminine energy trusts that worth is already inherent. It's already in you. And when you're able to balance these two energies, you begin to make choices and you begin to live your life from a place of owning your self-worth and owning who you are versus chasing it. So today I'm going to challenge you to take 10 minutes to do nothing. To do nothing but sit, breathe, listen to the birds, and pay attention to your self-worth. Notice that it doesn't shrink. On the contrary, it expands. And that is where you begin to rebuild your life on your terms.
