What will you do with your Golden Ticket?

A major life event is your golden ticket to reshape what comes next. Ask yourself three things: what do you want your next phase to look like, what new habits and knowledge does it require, and what will it take to get there.

Have you had a recent life event which has left you to question some things and to reconsider where your life is headed? If so, stay tuned so that you can hear what 3 key questions you can ask yourself so that you make the most of this next chapter of your life. Have you read Brandon Burchard's book Life's Golden Ticket. If you haven't, I highly recommend you pick it up. It's a motivational book, but it's also a book that goes through and that talks about the power of finding meaning in life and being willing to change to improve our circumstances. It's a really fun story, and if you pick up the, the actual paper book like I have here You can see there's a magical surprise on— at the end of the book, which I will encourage you not to look at until you've actually made your way through the book. But what the book does is remind us that we have these opportunities to change, and when a major life event happens, it is an opportunity for us to take a long hard look at our life and decide if this is how we want to keep moving forward, or if it isn't really time to take a look at things and make a change. So when those life-changing moments happen, there are two ways that we can react. One, we can blame everything to everyone, right? We can blame life, we can blame the people we're interacting with, we can blame God or the universe or whoever, and we can play victim, right? So that's one way that we can approach it. The second way we can approach it is to actually take ownership and say, okay, this has happened to me. Where is the gift? What can I do with this? Is there an opportunity for me to maybe change how I've been approaching things, change my life, change who I am to serve a future goal that could be different? What are your— you know, are there new aspirations that you might have that you need to kind of grow into? Because when those moments happen, it's an opportunity for us to level up. And we all know new levels bring new devils. So how do you deal with those new devils, especially in the world of high performance? It's really about asking yourself better questions. So when the situation happens, there are 3 questions that I recommend asking. The first one is this: now that I've had this situation, what is it that I want this next phase of my life to look like, right? Because what it was is done, it's over with. You are now a different person than you were. You've hopefully learned from the experience you've just had. So do you really want to stay in the same place that you're in, or do you want to evolve, and do you want to grow, and do you want to become a, a better human, or grow into a better version, or the best version of yourself that you can be? So the first thing is, what do I want my new life— what does this next level look like for me in terms of the life that I want to live? Question number 2 is What does this new level require me to be? How does it require me to show up? What are the things that I need to learn? What are— who are the people that I need to surround myself with? So all of these things really contribute to taking a look at and examining what is this new life that I want to have, that I want to create, that I want to build for myself, and what are the things that I need to put in place to make sure that I stack the deck on my side? And then question number 3 is, what is it going to take for me to get there? What is my learning plan? So are there skills that I need to learn? Do I need to read books? Do I need to take trainings? Do I need to, um, I don't know, invest in a course? I, I don't know what that might look like. Everybody's a little bit different. How we approach things and how we learn is a little bit different. So The point is, figure out what it's going to take for you to get to the next level and map it out, plan it out, so that you're not leaving it to chance to say, oh, you know, well, you know, maybe if I wish hard enough I can actually get there. But you actually become intentional about who you want to become and what this next level of life requires you to be. So that's what I wanted to share with you today. And in order to support you with that, I want to share with you a free tool that I called How to Create Your Life's Blueprint. It's 10 steps to creating a life's blueprint, and what it's going to do, it's going to take you through a process that I use a couple of times a year to kind of redefine and review if Who I'm showing up as is who I need to be showing up as, or are there changes that I need to make in order to reach the goals that I've set for myself? So I'll put the link in the, in the comments below, so feel free to go ahead and download that. And I also wanted to offer, if you want to, if there are some things that you need to discuss with someone that's going to give you either an impartial point of view or that's going to ask you questions that are going to get you to think about things maybe in a bit of a different way, don't hesitate to sign up for your free 30-minute jumpstart session, and you and I can go through and discuss anything that is going on in your life that you might need a little bit more support with. I will put that link also in the notes below. And that's it for this week. I hope that this has served you. I look forward to seeing you next week, and in the meantime, I wish you all the best. Take care. Bye.
