Alin Vrancila and Renee preview MU Talks Season 3, which explores "How do we learn?" through conversations with Multnomah University faculty on brain-based learning, language acquisition, trauma-informed approaches, and online education.
You hear that beat? You know? It's time for a new episode of MU Talks, but this is very, very special. Hello, everyone, and I'm Alim Bruncila, your co host with Multnomah University's podcast, MU Talks. And I'm excited to announce to you season three of MU Talks is on its way.
That's right. This season we're going to be having conversations with Multnomah's faculty and and other key members of the Multnomah learning community. And we're going to be asking them all one question, and that question is, how do we learn?
How do we learn? I actually really think this is such an important question. These are going to be fascinating conversations about topics like brain based learning, learning languages, how to learn from our past, how to include our emotions and our bodies in the learning process, and everything we can do to learn more about how to rely.
That's right. And if you love learning like we do, you're going to want to hear these conversations. We're going to talk about how learning is changing, including issues of trauma, informed learning, online learning, and all of these are just a few of the topics that we have in store this season.
I think this is so important to talk about. How do we learn? But, Renee, I have a question for you. Are we going to do rapid fire questions this season?
Oh, we are.
Yes.
We are definitely doing rapid fire. Would you like to start now?
Yes.
Yeah. You ready?
Yes.
Okay, here's your question.
Okay. Hard one. Give me a hard one. Okay, here we go.
Would you rather be the funniest or the smartest person in the room?
Funniest.
That was so fast.
Yes. Well, the thing is, if you're the funniest person in the room, some people might actually assume that you're also smart. Okay, so you get two in one.
Yeah. And. And I think that this makes us a great team.
Yeah.
Because I would answer smartest.
Smartest. So we have a funny. We have a funny and a smart person in the same room. And Emmy talks. Here we go. Here we go. It's going to be a great season. I know this. I hope you're going to join us. We hope you'll join us.
