Andy Hnilo Ending Intermittent Fast with Nathan John Owens

A short, informal YouTube video (recorded around August 2018) in which Andy Hnilo unexpectedly meets actor/model Nathan J. Owens at Whole Foods Glendale. They reminisce about moving from the Bay Area to LA and Owens' career trajectory (from Verizon sales associate to modeling and TV roles including Days of Our Lives as Cameron Davis). Andy documents ending an intermittent fast, showing a performance-focused meal (steamed wild shrimp, avocado, broccoli sprouts, Brazil nuts, fermented vegetables) and sharing nutritional notes (DHA, sulforaphane from sprouts, selenium in Brazil nuts, recommendation to limit Brazil nuts to ~8–10/day). The tone is friendly, promotional of healthy foods, and anecdotal.

Whole Foods Glendale.
Cameron Davis.
About 8 to 10 Brazil nuts per day (warning: do not overdo selenium).
Boom. We are live unplanned. But, man, ran into one of my closest friends from the Bay Area, Nathan Owens.
Hey, how's it going, dude?
I could sit here and brag for maybe 20 minutes. You know, I can. I'm happy to. Dude's got the coolest story. One of them. Nah, man, I just remember back. Can I? Can I? Of course, yeah. Dude was a Verizon Wireless sales associate. Takes that, gets works for Rule, which is an under company of Abercrombie and Fitch. And then just starts to book campaign after campaign after campaign, which is one of the hardest things to do as an actor and model. Moves down from the bay to la. Kinda just starts from the beginning and then goes from that to very successful commercial actor books Days of Our Lives is Cameron Davis, right?
Cameron Davis.
Yeah. And then. And then Devious Maids and is still just making, you know, making his dreams come true. I love that stuff. Couldn't happen to a better dude. I remember he was. He was coaching me through, you know, kind of like the modeling side of things and then acting side of things. It's just, man, I'd love to see great people win who really just kind of, you know, have kind heart. To be fair.
We were bouncing back and forth. Like he would coach me on some things and vice versa. So definitely both times, man. It's good to see the success of this man.
Right? Oh, dude. Hey, likewise, man. Likewise.
I brought you somewhere.
Just.
Just dying to be on camera.
He's like one. If you wanted me, I'll switch it up over there. Talking about our other buddies, we had just a group that we all just hung out with each other. We're all from the Bay Area and we came down to LA kind of just luckily we had friends that kind of. We were all in the same industry. But, man, it's cool to see.
Came in and everything.
It was cool. So, yeah, we ran into each other at Whole Foods Glendale. I live in the area. So does he. And they have. I'm coming to the end of my intermittent fast. You see that I've been really into Dr. Jack Cruz's work right now as far as incorporating DHA into my diet at least once a week for brain health and cognitive function. So here we have steamed wild shrimp. I put a lot of black pepper, cayenne, lemon juice, sea salt on top of that. I mean, that's insane. That's unbelievable. All right, so I have that avocado. I'll have these. Put them in there. Broccoli sprouts loaded in Sulforaphane Dr. Rhonda Patrick talks about it all the time as far as just being a very highly concentrated form when they're in the sprout form of the plant as opposed to the full broccoli plant vegetable itself. But which is very good for you. So I like to do both. So I've already had broccoli. Well, I'm gonna have broccoli tonight by the broccoli sprouts today and just kind of like work together and hit it from all angles and one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet, broccoli. But I haven't really, I've stayed away from shellfish until I started to hear people speak so passionately about DHA and how, you know, beneficial it is for brain function and health, wellness and all that. So another big Brazil nuts. So for any gentleman out there trying to get, you know, if any family's trying to get pregnant, vitamin K2, the selenium content in Brazil nuts. There's no K2 in here, I don't think. But, but supplementing with K2, grass fed butter, Brazil nuts and I think pumpkin seed oil is just really increases fertility and I've had a couple of friends out there still. Steve. Well, you know, you said a buddy of mine, Steve, I don't know if he's gonna be watching this but he got, he, he and his wife, you know, got pregnant shortly after. Just some suggestions with up in their, their grass fed butter intake and, and incorporating eight to 10 Brazil nuts a day now you can overdo it on selenium. So just stay within 8 to 10 if you can. And the, the selenium content here is vital for sperm count. Oh absolutely. Get in there. There are definitely more than 8 to 10 in there and they would have been gone anyway. So. Yeah. And then this is great for gut health. I'm a big fan of farmhouse culture. Just ginger, very good for digestion. Beets, very good for nitric oxide content, blood flow from head to toe, vascularity, you name it. And then there's also a little cabbage in there, some vitamin C content as well. And then I love good kalamata olive oils for heart health, very good fats. And this is just a performance meal I like. I mean the shrimp tastes amazing. Avocado, I mean obviously you can make it taste well. If I had a little hot sauce would be a little better. But didn't you really. Of course you did. Yeah. So just had to get this on tape. Hopefully it can help some people out there coming to the end of an intermittent fast it's really important to incorporate the best nutrition that you can, and everything here has a purpose. That's the way it should be. But I'm so glad you got to see my buddy Nate, man. This is one of the best dudes, period. Thank you, man. Yeah, likewise. Such a good dude. So funny, because I wanted to do this anyway, and then, boom, we ran into each other and whole food. So, so glad we got to knock this out.
Serendipity, man.
Yeah, definitely. Congratulations on everything you've done. That's hard work to want. I agree. Yeah. So for you, if you guys have any questions, type in the. In the comment section. I'm happy to answer them. But keep. Keep a lookout for this dude. He's gonna be the next tomorrow. More matter of fact. No, no, no. He's gonna be the next Nathan. Nathan J. Owens. But what I'm saying, you can see the resemblance right now. I know you guys can. Who knows? Maybe sometime down the road, we'll be working together. Who knows, man? All right, guys.
