A first-person YouTube monologue (June 6, 2025) by Andy Hnilo describing the grassroots launch of a product called Colostrum. The speaker recounts handling orders personally without a website or team—using a personal email, sourcing bulk ingredients locally, hand-packaging and shipping orders—and then gradually building packaging, labeling, hiring, and a website as demand grew.
No one else that I know of is doing things like Colostrum. You are your own best guinea pig. Yeah. After that first episode, you started getting a few emails. Oh, yeah. Saying, where do I get it? Yeah. I was on a in flight back from Orlando. I got that little go go inflight every time I refresh my Yahoo browser. Because on your podcast, I gave up my personal email address. I didn't have a website or anything. Alatur was not even born. It was just like, yeah, if you guys are interested in my product, contact me. I had like dozens of pounds of each ingredient. So I was just running around town. I mean, the orders were flying in, so I was just going to my local Whole Foods, to the bulk section, getting those bul containers, filling them up, handshaking them, going to FedEx, printing out that label. We finally got a website up. We had to go just like that. But people were reaching out to me and saying they like the product. Went from there, you know, step by step, just building things like the packaging, the labeling, hiring, you know, doing it properly.
