Hey Sharks, how's it going? My name is Andy Nilo. I'm the CEO and founder of Alatur Naturals and I live in Los Angeles, California. Being an athlete my entire life, I've always paid attention to what I put into my body. After the accident that escalated and I started to pay attention to what I put onto my body. So my business is an all natural skincare line I created after an accident that I was in. I saw so many holes and products on the shelves loaded with parabens, stearates and toxic ingredients. And our skin being our largest organ, I really felt that it responded to all natural superfood, organic nutrient dense ingredients one by one. I formulated my ingredient decks and never had an intention of creating a product. But they say necessity is the mother of invention. And Here we are two years in almost 40 countries that carry aloe tor products. We have a moisturizer, a night cream and a mask. And I can't wait to show you how I formulated it. I'm seeking $200,000 for 10% of my company. I'm going to use that money as working capital to help fund the growth of the company. I'm going to use it for product. So many ideas for awesome products down the road. And finally I'm gonna use it to advertise the products. I just. We went 2015 with zero marketing whatsoever and we did $218,000 worth of revenue. I'm so excited for where this company's heading. I want you guys on board. Alright, so I'm gonna show you how to mix and apply my first product, the aloe terra clay mask. So as you can see right here, it's a nice smooth, creamy texture. And we're gonna go to the bathroom and apply. My little brother is gonna apply the mask. I do it every other day. Let me tell you why. The mask is a lot different than any other clay mask on the market. I'm using four different clays. Many other people just use one or two. I'm giving you a lot of product, almost seven ounces worth of product. A lot of people use half of that. I'm adding first six hour milk and grass fed colostrum from a nice family out in Wyoming using L ascorbic acid which is a high potency vitamin C which crosses the dermis. American ginseng, organic kelp powder, freshwater pearl powder which the geishas have been using for centuries to even out sunspots and maintain that nice even skin tone. It creates this amazing smoothness to the skin which is just I mean, I'm addicted to it. I'm addicted to my own product. You know, your skin's your largest organ. I'm feeding it a nice new dense meal because what we put onto our skin is escorted into our bloodstream within 24 to 36 seconds. And that's scary if you're putting any toxins onto it. As we age, we're depleted in minerals and this is a great way to escort those minerals right back into your skin with very potent antioxidants and growth factor rich ingredients. So this is my aloe Tora facial moisturizer. Many people want to follow the moisturizer you use after applying the mask. It's 95.4% certified organic. I'm using extracts like German blue chamomile, Australian sandalwood, Wild Madagascar vanilla oil, carrot seed, Calendula evening primrose oil, ylang, ylang. I'm using bee products like Propolis, Royal jelly, beeswax, Cacao butter, organic extra virgin olive oil, Aloe vera. I mean it's just an unparalleled ingredient deck. It's bottled in maroon glass, which is a glass from the Netherlands where UV rays and artificial light can't penetrate my ingredients. I'm using a lot of cold pressed oils. I'm using a lot of bioactive live ingredients which I just can't have tainted. And I'm not using any preservatives. Their whole motto is preserved by the bottle, not by toxins. I'm not using any synthetic fillers. There's no glycerin in there, there's no preservatives, there's no synthetic artificial fragrances. So this is my aloe terra night cream. I'm using 10% vegetable sourced hyaluronic acid to help replenish lost moisture throughout the day that we all experience. I'm using two different plant derived stem cells to help stimulate collagen production, to help lift and tighten the skin while we sleep. While we're in one position for six to eight hours, it's the best time to replenish and recondition the skin. I'm using things like K factor 16, Manuka honey or whereas a lot of brands would just use regular honey, I'm going above and beyond with my ingredients. That's where aloe toura stands out. I'm not using any chemicals in there as well. There's no fillers, no stablers, no thickeners. Everything in there has an absolute purpose. Sure, with 20 sources of the 30 ingredients may have taken me a little bit longer, but Signing off on those ingredients is the absolute best feeling in the world. All right, so sales numbers 2015 we did $218,000. 96% growth from 2014. Total lifetime sales 420,000 so far this year. In 2016 we have 112% accelerated growth where you know, we really feel like we can reach $545,000 at least by the end of 2016. That's a conservative number. As we start to introduce more and more products and maybe bring one of you on board. There's just no limit. How far along would the business be? With the proper money, I'd be in every Whole foods across the country. You know, I'm hand manufacturing the mask so if I pass it on to a co packer that release a lot of responsibility. I'm self fulfilling which takes up a lot of time. I feel that the sharks can help me expand reach in retail, third party distribution and overall expansion of the business. My Altura products contain no artificial or toxic ingredients. A little sunny out, so I thought I'd rub a little this moisturizer on to help heal my skin from sun exposure. My aloe tour products are above and beyond with every single ingredient that we put on there. Every single ingredient has a purpose. 95.4 certified organic. My moisturizer is hands down the best moisturizer on the market. I truly believe that I have the best mask, the best moisturizer, and hands down the best night cream you're gonna find in any store. That's what separates us. So my aha moment was March 20, 2011 when I was hit by a westbound heading Toyota Tundra. Hidden the eastbound land and run over by a Land Rover. I woke up Cedars Sinai ICU with a shattered jaw from the middle of my chin to just beneath my left ear. Broke seven ribs, collapsed lung. Very lucky to be alive. I didn't want to use the products though that my doctors and surgeons were recommending heal my skin because they were heavily toxic, highly synthetic and loaded with chemicals. So I created my own ingredient by ingredient. I came up with a formula that regenerates, reconditions and nourishes the skin. It's all natural. Seven weeks later, I'm back on the Runway from Macy's. So I've invested about 20,000 of my own dollars just for raw materials and you know, getting it off the ground. I wasn't able to get the business off the ground. Well, that's just not how I operate. I'm relentless. I'll do whatever it takes and I won't be outworked. What does this business mean to me? It's like asking a mother and father what the their son or daughter means to them. May I put every single ounce of my energy into this daily and I'll continue to do so. I want to be of service. I want to help people around the world and I'm starting to do that. We're in 40 countries and I want to expand to every country. Alatura means so much to my family and I. I love making my mom and dad proud and I want to continue to do that. I want to do it the right way by helping others. What's something interesting about myself? I would say the fact that I got a scholarship to a Division 1 PAC 10 school, UC Berkeley, number one public school in the country out of high school. And the fact that I was on Days of Our Lives, bold and beautiful. Booked several national commercials, booked the 2015 national campaign in store and online for Oakley. Worked with a lot of big brands, but my passion is health and wellness and skincare. I'd say the biggest challenge is delegating certain jobs. Quality control is everything to me. So it's as mixing the product. I hand manufacture every single one of those masks, the labeling, the bottling, packaging, everything is done by me. Self fulfilling. Going to the post office, getting things out, timely customer service, handing that off to someone else who it may not be as important to them, that's tough for me. Luckily I moved my little brother down here. He's my first hire. It feels so good writing him a paycheck. And who more do you trust than your family, right? The support from my family and friends has been huge. They love the products and yeah, it's going really well. After the accident, I was mixing the clay masks together and doing it primarily for myself and friends around town. But I did this podcast with Dave Asprey, who had a big reach of about 16 million downloads for his Bulletproof radio podcast at the time. And I didn't have a website or anything like that, but towards the end of the podcast we did. It was mainly about nutrition, but there was a twist towards the end where he asked me about what I did for my skincare and my scarring and my abrasions. And I admitted that I created this mask to help heal my scarring and abrasions. And after that podcast I gave out my personal email address. People were contacting me from all around the world and contacting him as well. Long story short, he became a partner of mine in Alatura and we did it correctly before. I was just using these bulk containers from Whole Foods and taping it shut and handshaking it and sending it off to countries like Sweden, Germany. It felt great, but I didn't really know what I was doing. So Dave helped me tighten it up, and the business is where it is today because of that. So that's my moment of becoming an entrepreneur. My ultimate goal for Alatura is to be in every single country all around the world. It's. I want to be a household name. I want to be in every single Whole Foods in the United States. I want to walk into Whole Foods and see my brand up there. I know what I put into this, and I know that can happen. So as far as patenting or trademarking anything with the brand, we haven't got around to doing that yet. I'm absolutely open to it down the road. Why do people feel like they should use my products? Because I know what it feels like to be down and out. From skincare to abrasions to scars, whatever it was, it was hard to look in the mirror. I've been there. I counteract that with the products that I created. The sales are where they are because people love the products. We have over 500 cumulative reviews on the different sales channels that we distribute the product on. At a 4.9 out of 5 cumulative rating, it's pretty high. People love it. So that's a wrap for my Shark Tank submission video. I want to thank you guys so much for letting me get this far in the casting process. I think I'd be a great fit for the show, but obviously that's up to you. I had such a good time filming this, and I hope you guys like it.
