In this tutorial, Angie Birmingham walks viewers through a quick, free method for adding a custom watermark to images using Canva and Luminar Neo. She starts by creating a simple handwritten watermark in Canva’s free tier, downloading it, and then importing it into Luminar Neo. Within Neo she resizes the watermark, positions it in a corner, applies the Darken blend mode and adjusts opacity to seamlessly integrate it onto the edited photo. She demonstrates how to hide the watermark layer for a clean export (e.g., for a website) while keeping it visible for social‑media exports. Throughout the video she promotes her paid Thursday‑night edit room community ($4.99/month), explains the benefits of the mentorship sessions, and mentions her focus on nature photography. The video ends with a call‑to‑action to like, subscribe, and watch related content.

Have you always wondered if there's a way to put a layer in Luminar so that your watermark will be on your image when you export it from Luminar? Well, there is. I'm going to show you a quick, easy way to make a watermark in Canva and then add it to Luminar and export your image with your watermark on it today. So let's get started. All right. So all you gotta do is head over to canva.com and you can get a free subscription. If you want a paid subscription, you'll be eligible for everything in it. And I think it's right at $100 a year, but the free account, you can get a lot of good stuff in there. So let's go ahead and jump on over to Canva. I will put a link below for you and here we go. All right. So here we are in Canva. So you'll have to go in and you'll have to create an account. Here we are. We are in Canva. So now we're going to go over and I just pick thumbnail because it's real easy. It's just a clean shade of clean slate of paper. So what we're going to do is we're going to do something real simple. We're just going to do a name. Photos by Angie B. There we go. And then we'll go up here. We'll go to some handwriting and just kind of explore the different handwriting. Gotta make sure we pick one without this crown because the crown means you gotta pay for it. And we're doing this for free. That's my goal. Today is free. There we go. That one looks good. So we'll just make it a little bigger. Bigger is always better, right? All right. So then we'll hit share and we'll download it and it goes to your download file. So this is probably it right here. Yep. Okay, now we will jump on over to Neo. And while we wait for Neo to load, I just wanted to let you know that I have a Thursday night edit room now available to— well, there's actually only 2 ways to get in this class. The first way is to come and take a workshop with me or be part of my online mentor. And the second way is to join through the YouTube community. I offer it for $4.99 a month, and $4.99 a month will get you anywhere from 2 to 4 editing sessions a month. And inside that, I go into a little more depth than what I do on the YouTube channel. And you can also ask questions of any kind. We give a Q&A, and everybody's microphone's on during the whole edit, so you can ask why I'm doing that or why I didn't do this, and we can explore all the options. All right, so let's jump back over to Neo. Okay, so here we are in Neo. So now we have an image that is 100% edited. Edited, kind of a funny word, isn't it? Anyways, so then from after you get your image completely edited and ready to go to export, you're gonna hit plus. And because this watermark is not in here yet, I'm gonna hit load image. And I'm going to go to Downloads where I saved it at. And let's see, that one was Untitled right here. Open. So now all we do, because it's now it's in my images, now we just click on it and we reduce the size of it to whatever size we want it to be. Set it down here in the corner. And you ask, but it's still— you can still see the white. But hold on, I'm not done yet. All you do is go down here and hit Darken, and poof, it's gone just like that. And you can change the opacity. And that's the way I like to use layers. I like to add my watermark in after I'm done editing 100%. So this image here, if I were to export it, that would be my social media image with my watermark on it. And then you go over here and you hit Hide Later— Hide Layer— and now it's ready to be exported for my website for sale. So easy peasy. All right, so if you want to get in on these Thursday night edit rooms, make sure that you come into my community and join it. Only $4.99 a month and you can be part of our edit group. We actually had quite a good time last night and they're all looking forward to the next meeting. I'm not sure what we're going to edit, but it will be one of my images And then one of a guest image. So we'll see what we end up editing. My image will more than likely be a, either a landscape or nature. It'll be nature of some kind, cuz you know me, nature photography. All right, so don't forget to like and subscribe and do all that crazy good stuff and watch this video right, right here. And I hope you like it. Talk to you next time.
