Jeff and Angie Photography walk through Luminar Neo 1.8.0's new tools: a before/after slider, adjustable preset intensity, a histogram in the edits panel, LUT preview in moods, and a raw image filter. A quick performance bump and an editing tutorial coming next.
Hello and welcome to another episode of WTF Stop, Jeff and Angie Photography. So today I'm going to go over the new update that Luminar Neo just put out, the 1.8.0. Kind of snuck it in on everybody, and it's got some really cool features. Let's go ahead and jump into that, and I will show you what they are all about. All right, so on the first feature, which I'm really excited about, is the before and after sliders. This is really cool. You can slide before and after. That is pretty amazing in my opinion. And next we got sliders in presets, which is another pretty amazing little feature. After you choose your preset, you can slide it back and forth for the intensity and choose the selection, or you can just back out and start over. And then next we got Histogram in the edits, which is a really nice feature. That histogram didn't used to be there in the edits. It was always in tools but never in edits, so that's a really nice feature right there. Next is preview and LUTs. I was just thinking the other day how handy this would be to have, and all you do is just scroll down to moods, go into your LUTs, And just run your mouse right over the top of each and every one of them, and it will give you a preview of what it would look like with your image. Isn't that pretty cool? Bengal tiger kind of looks kind of cool. All right, and this is really cool. I really, really like this. Now you can go up to sewing And now you have the option to show just raw images. So this will show you all your images that are unedited or edited, or you just go back to all photos and it'll show you all of them including JPEGs. And of course they've improved the performance a slight bit. I didn't really notice any kind of difference. Stay tuned and tomorrow I'm going to post another video.
