The Psychology Behind Viral TikTok Shop Videos (FULL MASTERCLASS)

In this live masterclass, Annamaria Prideaux, a top‑1% TikTok Shop affiliate, walks her all‑women affiliate community through a line‑by‑line dissection of the most viral and high‑converting TikTok Shop videos. She begins by introducing the Miss Affiliate coaching program and the purpose of the session – to reveal the psychological levers that make certain videos explode in views (e.g., 11 M views, $380 K revenue, 3.8 ROAS) and sales. The core example is a Clinique Black Honey makeup skit, which she breaks down into hooks, open loops, authority positioning, product‑specific language, pattern‑interrupts, skepticism‑removing statements, and urgency‑driving calls‑to‑action. Throughout the class she highlights how each line is intentionally crafted to keep viewers watching, build trust, and push them toward the TikTok Shop bundle. She then applies the same framework to other viral formats (body‑care yapping videos, short “yap” ads, and non‑skit styles), discussing audience breadth versus niche targeting, scripting versus off‑the‑cuff delivery, visual production choices (lighting, camera angle, font usage), TikTok policy nuances (overlays, before‑after claims, timeline restrictions), and affiliate economics (organic vs ad commission, CalData analytics, and community resources). The session ends with Q&A about data tools, content ideas, and next steps for the community.

Today I'm going to be breaking down the most viral TikTok Shop videos right now that are converting insanely well and line by line breaking them down and explaining how they work so well and the psychology behind these videos. And I'm actually going to be doing it inside of my all-women TikTok Shop training community, but I wanted you guys on YouTube to be able to watch and learn as well. So come with me. Okay, just setting up the camera here. I'm about to go live with the masterclass. I'm also going to Loom record the entire training so that way I can show you guys both ends of it. But these masterclasses I do every single week inside of Miss Affiliate, like I I said it's an all-women's TikTok Shop Affiliate coaching program. And if you want to learn about TikTok Shop Affiliate and how women are making thousands of dollars every single month with this inside of an intense, super supportive, very resourceful community, we have software, we have apps, we have coaching calls every single day. I'm in there with the girls. I'm also a top 1% affiliate. Then I'll leave a link in the description for you guys to apply to join the group. But for now, enjoy the live training. I'm just starting the call right now. I'm still muted, but look at all the girls joining. I'm so excited. Hello, hello. Can you guys hear me?
Hey.
I'm just gonna tag everyone in announcements quick that we're live.
At everyone.
Masterclass with me is live. How many girls? Is this your first masterclass with me? Oh, thank you, Gabby. Guys, I kind of went crazy on Revolve. Okay, you guys are reassuring me. Does this give corporate baddie? Like, is this cute but also like fun? Uh, Revolve has really cute stuff. I've always been like, like, I feel like I can never find outfits that I envision. I always have a vision of, oh, that would be so cute. But then Revolve actually has really good stuff. It is more expensive. It's like higher quality. I would say like $70 to $100 First set or per set, but oh, this is really cute. Thanks, guys. First masterclass. Okay.
Yay!
I'm so excited. So I'll give like a little bit for people to join. But what we're going to be covering tonight is breaking. I don't know if Kate's in here. This is specifically requested by Kate. I don't think she's in here yet. She wanted me to do a call basically breaking down currently viral, highly converting videos line by line and show you guys hey like. As a top affiliate who understands how much goes into these videos, what the average viewer might not understand. Like, this is exactly why she included this line, why she did what she did. And I did one that I fully prepped for you guys. It took me like 40 minutes to prep this. And then I'm going to be doing one, if there's enough time, with you guys in real time. I don't even care if there's not enough time, we're gonna do it anyways. It just might take a little bit longer. And that way you guys can understand even more in depth. I know some girls love the line-by-line breakdowns. I love them. I get so excited with psychology and all that stuff. So we're going to get into it. Hi, Laney. Also shout out the private— we're doing like a little private Miss Affiliate event with some of the top girls next weekend and then the 2 challenge winners. So there's going to be 10 girls here in Miami next weekend. I'm so excited. And Laney is one of them I get to meet. But we're going to be doing more big events in the future. I just wanted to do An intimate one to start. I'm so excited too. But okay, I think we have a pretty good group in here. I'm just going to get started and then obviously this is recorded, so anyone who misses, they can watch this back. I'm going to share my screen with you guys.
Window.
Also share system audio.
Okay.
Can you guys wait?
I'm going to go like this.
Okay, can you guys see this document? I'm just gonna move the chat a little bit. Hey Cassandra, welcome, welcome. Can you guys see this? Just gonna make it even smaller. Okay, thank you for saying that. So let me just play the video. This is like the number one performing video besides this one mellow video. It's right here. I just clicked it because I wanted to see right now what's going super viral, and it was so saucy. So there's a lot that she did. She did well in this video. I broke it down line by line, and then we're gonna pick one together and go through it. But let's just watch it one time all the way through together. Also, if you can't hear it, let me know because I want to make sure you guys can hear it. Actually, I'm gonna just. Pull up the full. Oh no, it's right here actually.
Here we go.
How did you get your eyes to look like that? Oh, you mean make my eyes pop like this? Color of your eyes are so vivid. How did you do that? I'm using the Clinique Black Honey Eyeshadow. Clinique Black Honey is a lipstick, not an eyeshadow palette. What are you talking about? Yeah, no, it's an eyeshadow palette made by Clinique, and it's called the Clinique Black Honey Eyeshadow Palette. And you get the Black Honey Eyeliner, and you get the Black Honey Mascara. So all of these combined make my eyes look so blue. Can you show me how you did that? Yeah, I can show you how to do it. Sweep some of the lighter shade all over your lid.
Like this? Yes, just like that.
Take some of this shade with a fluffy brush and blend it into your crease.
Like this?
Yes, just like that. The colors are blending so well.
I know.
This is so pretty all by itself. I know, it's such a pretty palette for day or night. I know it looks scary, but you're gonna take some of this color and put it on the outer crease.
Like this?
If you have blue, green, or hazel eyes, this color is going to make them pop. Oh my gosh, this color changes so much. Yeah, it still looks so good. Oh my gosh, my eyes are popping just like yours. I know. Next, you're gonna take the Clinique Black Honey Eyeliner.
Okay.
Rim your inner waterline.
Like that?
Am I doing it right? Be careful, but yeah, you got it. Uh, this is kind of freaking me out. Oh my gosh. I know, that looks so good on you. This is so beautiful. I can't believe I didn't know there was a Black Honey eye look. You could even smoke it out and make a little wing if you want. Oh my gosh, I never thought to make a wing with the eyeshadow. Don't forget to do the Black Honey Mascara. Oh my gosh, this mascara! Okay, add some of the Black Honey Cheek Oil. This is a lip and cheek oil, so you can use it on your cheeks or your lips. What? No way, are you serious? Oh my gosh. Don't forget the iconic Black Honey Lipstick. Okay, this ties the entire look together. I love how this looks on you.
This has to be so expensive.
So Clinique actually teamed up with TikTok Shop. They put all of this in a bundle, and they put the bundle on sale, and they gave me free shipping. So you're telling me that if I went up to the Clinique counter and tried to buy all of this, I'd be spending way more money versus buying it here on TikTok Shop? That's exactly what I'm saying. I have to have this entire set. Send me the link. Don't worry, I'm going to drop you a link right here in this video, but this is selling out fast, so run. How did you get your eyes to look like that?
Okay, so this video— I know, same, Cassandra, it's so satisfying. For context, this video did 11 million views in the last 30 days plus $380,000 in revenue. Which is insane. Even if a lot of that was from ads, that's a very high-performing ad and Clinique wouldn't be spending money. And it has a 3.8 ROAS, which that just means return on ad spend, that whatever they're spending on this video, they're selling 3 to 4 times the amount of the ad spend in revenue of the products, if that makes sense. So it's a really, really good performing ad nonetheless. I wrote the entire script down. I think despite, I mean, she's beautiful and it's very satisfying, but despite this, there's so much you guys can learn from from the psychology of every single line she added in. Even just watching it back this one time, I'm like, I don't even remember. You're kind of so in a trance of watching her do it that when I was doing the script, it was so— to me, when I was writing the script, I was like, oh, this is like a brand would write this script. It's done so well. So let's just get into it because it's kind of in depth of what I added. So the first hook, how did you get your eyes to look like that? She's visually showing her eyes. It's very like, It's a skit, right? So there's an authority figure from the get-go with a full glam. And then there's the learner is what I call it. The person that wants that desired look that's begging for the secret. And from the get-go, it opens a loop, right? So I've taught you guys about open loops. If you're newer here, please go watch my open loop masterclass because creating an open loop is how you're going to keep someone watching your video. You don't want to tell them everything all at once. You want to open up things in their mind of like, I want— if I don't Basically, like if I scroll past this video, I'm missing out on information. So I should stay and watch this video. So just by saying, how did you get your eyes to look like that? The viewer is already like, okay, she has a great makeup look. I'm already getting told that I'm pretty much going to learn how to do this in this video. And it comes off like a tutorial right away instead of an ad. She could have completely went a different direction and just said, Clinique just dropped a 4-in-1 thing that achieves great looks, blah, blah, blah. That gives ad. Still could have done well, you know what I mean? But it completely removes a viral potential from it because it's not that same broad audience casting hook. This, people like 16-year-old girls in their bedroom would want to watch this just to learn how to do their makeup. 40-year-old women who maybe want to get into it would watch this. This doesn't just immediately shrink down her audience to specifically makeup people. It's keeping it really broad. So right off the get-go, That tells you she's going to be doing a tutorial. She's going to be showing you how she got her eyes to look like that. That's opening up a loop. And then the authority figure switching back. Oh, I do want to clarify before I even share this, before we even talk about the script, non-script features that made this work so well was she's calm, concise with her tone being the authority. And then she has a clear fluctuation between the girl asking for the secret. How did you do that? Wait, am I doing this right? You could feel the difference between like the poise, the calm girl versus like, oh, I want to learn this. So the viewer can already picture themselves being the one learning. It's edited really, really well. She switches from left to right side of the video. It's to the point. It is a little bit longer, but each line is so intentional. It's easy to consume, meaning it's entertaining. It flows well. It doesn't feel like a traditional ad. Even if you kind of realize, oh, this is an ad. You don't feel like you got robbed of your time because you learned so much watching it about how to do makeup. And obviously it's filmed, I think, with her back camera just by the way it's focused. So good quality, good lighting, her makeup's done. Like that's all really important. Like you couldn't achieve the same skit if maybe it was blurry in your car or like in your kitchen. Everything is just like the setting is really, really done well. Yeah, exactly. It's a crispy video. So back to the script. So, oh, you mean make my eyes pop like this? So she could have just went from how do you get your eyes to look like that to the girl responding. But by adding in like, oh, to make my eyes pop, it adds a second layer reinforcing that it looks good. And saying pop just makes it even more clear to the viewer that this is a desired look. So already 2 seconds into the video, you're kind of like subconsciously thinking, wow, I want to learn how to make my eyes pop and look like that. So it's smart that she just added that one little back and forth to make it flow, but also layer in more of a desired look from the get-go. So then back to the girl begging for the secret. Yeah, the color of your eyes are so vivid. How did you do that? So she's literally adding it in twice to continue to open that loop. But at this point, you want it even more. It's like, okay, get to the point. I already know what makes her eyes pop. It looks so good. I want to know how to do it. So it's another compliment followed by info seeking, implying that we're going to get information. And so the viewer at this point is really intrigued and wants to know. I want to know as well. And you're finding it out with the learning girl's alternative self, which I love when girls do this with their skits. So then she responds, I'm using the Clinique Black Honey eyeshadow. And then the girl responds saying, Clinique Black Honey is a lipstick. It's not an eyeshadow palette. Kind of reinforcing that the household name Clinique, the Black Honey, a lot of us have heard of it. everyone might be thinking, oh, like it's a lipstick, you know, not an eyeshadow palette. Just kind of like pattern interruption. So even though she's not getting to the point right away, she's layering in another pattern interrupt, opening up a new loop. And it's also removing skepticism, basically meaning like the viewer might already be thinking that and it's making it more relatable to the viewer, if that makes sense. And then she's like, yeah, like what are you talking about? Like it's a lipstick, not an eyeshadow palette. What are you talking about? Kind of just being like, Hey, like, this isn't, this isn't, um, an eyeshadow palette. This brand does the lipstick, whatever, because it's a new concept. And that's what the girl's trying to convey is like, hey, they actually have these new products as well. That's what we're getting to. So it's urging this continued back and forth. She keeps flipping back and forth to herself, which is a little bit more work when you're editing, but it keeps the viewer so intrigued. Instead of her just instantly answering everything and going right into a tutorial, she's adding some discourse in the beginning that just keeps you locked in and makes you want to learn even more. So yeah, I just kind of explained it's continued back and forth, consistent pattern interrupts, switching back and forth, open loops. The viewer wants to keep watching because at this point there are multiple open loops that have been formed. And then she responds, Yeah, no, it's an eyeshadow palette made by Clinique and it's called the Clinique Black Honey Eyeshadow Palette. So this starts to give the makeup, the girl's version of herself, that's the authority with her makeup done, even more trust from the viewer. Just basically coming off as like, hey girl, like there's actually this and I'll keep listening. Already hinting at us getting lots of value beyond just the palette itself because you're getting the Black Honey eyeliner. Oh, sorry, I didn't read that. But, and you get the Black Honey eyeliner and you get the Black Honey mascara. Instead of her just saying eyeliner and mascara, but adding in Black Honey, it's that tied pretty bow of Clinique's luxury title. She could have just said like, oh, you also get a mascara and eyeliner, but you don't want it to come off as just a mascara or eyeliner. It's the Black Honey eyeliner, the Black Honey mascara. So now you're like, wow, there's more value besides the amazing palette itself. So all of these combined make my eyes look so blue, insinuating right away to the viewer that you need all 3 of these for the full desired effect. Now the girl again is like, can you show me how you did that? Guys, notice how we still at this point haven't even got to the tutorial. So she asked how to do it. Then again, how did you do it? Then again, can you show me how you did that? So it's open loop after open loop. And at this point the viewer's locked in. She did such a good job of keeping them in, getting what she needed out into their minds of like, hey, this is really valuable. I'm going to be showing you. It looks so beautiful. It's luxury, makes you look good. And she still hasn't even started showing you how. Okay. So intentionally she added to relate to the viewer yet again how they can do it and insinuate more value is coming. This is how you keep a consumer watching your video, how you make it more natural, and how you build more trust with them as well. So she responds, yeah, I can show you how to do it. Then she starts, sweep some of the lighter shade all over your lid. So she just talks, saying it in a calm, authoritative tone. And then the girl responding is like, doing it. So you get to see in real time it being done. And then she kind of acts a little bit more frantic, like maybe the viewer is feeling if you're intimidated and you're doing your makeup for the first time, exactly all the feelings you would feel. So as a consumer, we want to feel like we can tangibly hold the product or be using it. And that's how you get someone to buy from your videos because you want to create that bridge between them not having it and then being like, oh, I want to experience that. So it's really smart that she shows the version of herself doing it because you get to literally feel it with the person learning. So she's like, like this. Yes, just like that. Just kind of like I said, viewer gets to see the process done in real time. Take some of the shade with the fluffy brush and blend it into your crease. Again, like this? Yes, just like that. So just kind of that back and forth. Now the viewer knows the flow of the script and you're pretty locked in. Again, at this point, it doesn't matter if you're a consumer yet. This is just a tutorial, a makeup tutorial. So girls want to watch this. This doesn't feel like an annoying ad on your For You page. It feels like regardless of you wanting to buy something, you just want to watch because it's just pleasing to watch. So she continues the tutorial and then she adds in subtle lines that subconsciously make you think, wow, this specific palette is really, really good and I need this palette to achieve this specific look. So she says, colors are blending so well as she's doing it on herself. The learner saying this, complimenting the blend, makes the viewer, us, subconsciously want it even more to achieve this look. Plus we have a tutorial and we're understanding that we can't actually achieve this look without the product, which makes it so much more desirable as the the video continues. Then the authority reinforces, I know. And then the girl responds. So it's really quick. I know. And then it goes back to the person applying the makeup. This is so pretty all by itself. So this key line is important because she didn't have to include it, but she did, basically showing you there's early fascination of the product that it already looks so good. It doesn't take much for this to look good. So even if you're a little skeptical of like, yeah, I don't want to have to do 80 layers of eyeshadow to look good. She's saying, hey, just this one crease of the light cream already looks so good. So that is your first building trust, removing skepticism, which I've talked to you guys about. And then the reinforcement back to the authority. I know it's such a pretty palette for day or for night. So you're already thinking, okay, this can be dressed up like super dark look, or it can be super chill, adding even more value to the product. It is diverse. Now she's going back to tell her how to do it. I know it looks scary. So instead of her just saying next, kind of in a boring way, like, now take the color, put it on the crease. I love how she adds in natural, like you're literally telling your best friend how to do it. Hey girl, I know it looks scary, but you're going to take some of this and put it on your outer crease. That's so well done. That keeps it authentic, relatable, natural. It still is not giving boring tutorial. So I love that she added just a simple, I know it looks scary, but you're going to do this. Removes more skepticism naturally for viewers that are more nervous or newer to eyeshadow so that they aren't completely ruled out of buying the product out of fear. Because think about it, with makeup looks like this, there's a big buyer market for makeup, but a smaller market maybe for girls that are really good at makeup. So by doing this, she's reassuring you that even if you suck at eyeshadow, You can do this too. You can have this look. So they're not ruled out from buying, which is good. She's keeping her audience and her target consumer broad. So it's smart that she added that quick reassurance. Does that make sense? Even that one little thing completely keeps her target audience open. The girl responds like this. And then right back to the girl, the authority saying, you have blue, green, or hazel eyes. This color is going to make them pop. Again, reinforcing a big audience. Not just you have to have the most beautiful blue eyes like her in the world. I guess if you don't have any of those colors, what's left? Just brown at that point, which brown is a big group. But she's saying if you have blue, green, or hazel, it's going to make them pop. So this accounts for a big eye color population, adds a deep desire of women. We probably all want at some point to enhance our eyes, or it's like it's a desired thing. So that's smart. Then it goes into the girl doing it. Oh my gosh, this color changes the entire look, like how important it is to have that color added. So saying it looks scary, then the girl trying it and then being like, oh, like there's enjoyment on the other side of doing it, adding excitement. And then the viewer watching already is like, wow, I want to feel this way. And at this point, they're probably already picturing how they would feel with this kind of makeup that accentuates their eye color and makes their eyes pop like that. Then another reinforcement. Yes, it looks so good. Just a simple back and forth keeps it, keeps it entertaining. Back to the learner. Oh my gosh, my eyes are popping just like yours. So she didn't again have to say that, but because she added that, that brings it back to that very first open question of like, hey, you want your eyes to pop like this?
Watch.
And then now the learner, aka us, the viewer/buyer, are like, dang, our eyes can pop just like yours. So it reassures the viewer that they can feel the same pop as the authority if they follow these steps, obviously with these products, hint hint, you need to buy them. So I know I need to bold that quick for you guys. Next, you're going to take the Clinique Black Honey Eyeliner. Instead of again, just saying next, you're going to take the eyeliner. I love how she makes it sound so luxury and like you really need this specific eyeliner because it works wonders. So next, you're going to take the Clinique Black Honey Eyeliner. It's so bougie. More value now because we're deeper in the tutorial. They obviously need more products to get the full look. And you're opening a new loop because we're not done yet. It's just the eyeshadow. Now we need the eyeliner. I want to keep watching. I want to know how she did the whole thing. So she responds, okay, natural flow. Back to the girl. So you're going to rim your inner waterline. Now, this again can feel a little bit intimidating. Even for me, like I don't ever really do my waterline. And so she's filming this video knowing like, okay, if I was skeptical as a viewer, what would I be skeptical of? Well, doing your waterline might turn some people off to wanting to buy this. So I'm going to make it seem like it's okay. It's easy. So she reassures the girl when she's like, like this, am I doing it right? She's acting like she's doing it for the first time, making, making you feel relatable. Like the viewer would feel if they're following a tutorial. This is so genius to me because she again didn't have to do this, but by doing this, She's keeping her target audience broad. She's just saying, be careful, but yeah, you got it. Or be careful, but yeah, you got it. So just like, it's so normal to feel this way, but you can get this look too. You don't have to be a pro. This removes skepticism because it's more trustworthy to hear, be careful, instead of it just being like tickling your ear and saying, oh, it's so easy. It's more believable actually as consumers to be told, yeah, it's a tad tricky, But it's doable rather than being promised the easiest look ever. So by her even admitting it's okay to be a little bit nervous, but you can get it, that's building so much trust. The viewer is like, okay, I might be a little bit nervous, but I can do it too. And they trust her more now instead of her just promising them that they can do it. It's super easy, whatever. Does that make sense? People love when you're authentic and real in that way. And that was a smart way of showing that. And then she even adds, oh, this is kind of freaking me out, which is so relatable because waterline is a new intimidating concept, or it could be for that person. And again, this could turn the person watching the video away from buying the product if they thought it wasn't worth it or it's too scary. But because she's making it feel normal to be intimidated, and then she soon is going to show a desired emotion on the other side of doing it, which is next. Oh my gosh. Like the girl saying like, oh my gosh. Then the reassurance comes, I know that looks so good on you. So you went through this like fear of doing the waterline thing, but it's important for the full look. And then you get the reassurance of the desired emotion, you get the compliment, the reinforcement. So the script is done so well. This is so beautiful, her responding. I can't believe I didn't know there was a black honey eye look. So her saying this line makes this a certain title look. It sounds coveted, like you learned a little secret from a friend. Just kind of making it even more put on a pedestal. Like this isn't just a look you can do with your eyeshadow palette at home and some eyeliner. You need the Black Honey eye look, okay? Or you need the Black Honey products for the Black Honey eye look. So then she's adding even more fun to it. You can even smoke it out and make a little wing if you want. Literally like a friend telling you a secret. I love how she does that. So it's more value, it's more trust. She adds a desired look for more enhancement. Then the response, her doing it. Oh my gosh, I never thought to make a wing with eyeshadow. I was like, this is like, this girl is so smart. This is smart because she's adding even more, or this reassures the viewer that it's okay to not be doing this already. Because even for me, like, that's a cool little fun fact. And you might feel like, okay, this girl knows her makeup. She's so good at makeup. Like, I can't relate to that. But then by the learner reassuring by saying like, oh, I never thought to do that. It's telling you it's normal. It's okay if you didn't know this. And now you feel like you actually got let in on another beauty hack. That only this product alone can achieve, and like you feel like you're getting so much value from this girl and that you really want these products to get this look. Now it's another another open loop and more value. Don't forget to do the black honey mascara. Not just don't forget to add mascara. You know what I mean? Like she's making it really clear that you need like these products: the mascara, the lip oil, the eyeshadow palette. Not just oh don't forget to add your mascara because again if she didn't add black honey. You could already be thinking, oh, I don't need all of them. I just want the palette because I already have a mascara that I love. But no, she's saying, don't forget the Black Honey Mascara. You need this one specifically. Also showing, hey, we're not done yet. Girl responds, putting it on. Oh my gosh, this mascara. So any viewers still watching at this point, they clearly are watching and they love the tutorial. They're really intrigued. They're highly likely to buy, or at least they definitely want the products in question. Now it's just like, You know, how much is it kind of thing? Whatever. She continues. Okay, add some of the black honey cheek oil. Again, adding the name of it. This is a lip and cheek oil, so you can use on your cheeks or your lips. It sounds really juicy. I thought it sounded really fancy, like black honey and oil. It gives a luxury feel besides just saying now add your blush and lip. This makes it sound even more rare. What? No way. Are you serious? Kind of like the natural reaction we'd have of her putting it on. Oh my gosh. So she's not even really saying a lot because the learner isn't the authority here. The learner doesn't need to say a lot of reinforcement. That's the authoritative version's job. The learner just needs to be like so like wowed by the product. So she's adding in an excited desired reaction. We want to feel this way too. So we're watching and we're like, oh, I want to feel this way. The viewer wants to feel these things all the way, these things too now. And then she says, don't forget the iconic. So now we're getting tied back to Remember in the beginning when the learner was like, hey, Clinique Black Honey is a lipstick, not an eyeshadow palette. Because a lot of us have heard of the Clinique Black Honey lipstick. So she's kind of bringing that, closing that loop to, don't forget the iconic Black Honey lipstick. Basically just saying like, hey, yeah, this came from that OG lipstick. So you're tying it all back to the original open loop, showing that this all came inspired by the amazing original viral product and that This may be like a household name. So that's like a smart way just to kind of add authority to the product itself. So she has authority as the person showing you the makeup, but also now the product itself has authority because it came from this like iconic lipstick. So even her saying iconic is really smart. Instead of just saying the Black Honey lipstick, saying iconic just shows like you're getting, you know, you're getting real, the real deal. Okay, this ties the entire look together. The girl responding put on like, okay, this ties the entire look together. She's just saying, reinforcing to the viewer as she's doing it that you need all these products for the full look. You can't skip out on one of them. And then the girl responds, the authority, I love how this looks on you. And that's the desired outcome that we emotionally want is to feel like we got a look that looks really good with our makeup. This part's important. So now she's transitioning into the call to action, to build urgency. So skepticism, we're pretty sold at this point. The viewer watching either love the tutorial but is like, I can't afford that, or is like, this is so cool, I want it, like, but what's the catch? So here's the catch. She says, she's literally voicing what we're thinking, okay? This has to be so expensive. She's— and then when she says that, do you remember in the video she was holding all the products on display when she said it? So while she's saying this has to be so expensive, I don't know when it was.
Okay, whatever.
I don't want to get all off track, but she basically flashed a whole bunch of the products that she was just talking about saying this has to be so expensive. Take note of the way she says this too, because it is exactly what most people are thinking. And the viewer and clearly the learner which is her alter self. We both really love the product and at this point are sold on it, but we're just assuming it's too expensive to achieve this look and they're not going to be able to feel the desired outcome after all. So this is really important, her saying this one line. And then it's the answer. The authority says, so Clinique actually teamed up with TikTok Shop. Boom. That one line's important because that's already preventing you from going to Amazon or going to Sephora or wherever else because you're getting let in on information that Hey, you can only get this on TikTok Shop with this little deal or whatever she's about to share. They put all this in a bundle and they put the bundle on sale and they're giving you free shipping. And then notice when she says these 3 things, she zooms in on her face or she zoomed in for effect. So each time she said, and they put the bundle on sale and they're giving you free shipping, boom, boom, it zooms into her face to add effect. Exactly. Reinforces that TikTok is a trusted source because that's still potentially something keeping people from buying because it, even though it has been around for a couple years now, there's still some people that think of TikTok Shop as newer and they're a little bit scared to use it. But now you really have to only get it from TikTok Shop because this is where the free bundle is, or this is where the bundle is, the sale and the free shipping. And boom, this is the amazing solution. You're introducing a frustration, which is a common fear of it being expensive. So we can't even get this look anyways. And now you're giving the solution, the feeling on top of it. And then you're sharing a reason, or she's sharing a reason why the viewer has to buy it now and from this video itself specifically, not Amazon, not later. And that's so important because that's what gets that high conversion rate. And then she's also sharing another layer as to why they should get these products. So beyond just how great they are, how easy it is to apply, the great gorgeous look you get and all the value, it's like, hey, if you get it now from TikTok, you're getting The whole bundle, the wholesale, and free shipping. So now they're not only buying products that will help them achieve their desired look, but they're also getting let in on a massive deal exclusive to TikTok Shop. So this whole video, you're literally feeling like you're getting let in on a cool secret of how to get a cool look. And you're like, wait, I'm getting in on a massive deal. So then she responds, the learning version. So you're telling me that if I went into the Clinique counter and tried to buy all of this, I'd be spending way more money versus buying it here on TikTok Shop? Super important because again, you're just removing that question that the viewer is thinking of why they shouldn't buy it elsewhere and why they should get it here on TikTok Shop. So she's asking that question, the same question we're all thinking as viewers, exactly what I just wrote before, but reinforcing excited emotion from the viewer's perspective. And then boom, that's exactly what I'm saying. She responds. Now here's the quick call to action. And she does this very naturally, which I love. The girl responds, that's the learner. I have to buy this, or I have to have this entire set. Send me the link. There's no reason to not be buying at this point. She wants it badly. This is going to help walk the viewer to checkout. The girl responds. Don't worry, I'm going to drop you a link right now. And actually, when she says this, she turns and looks at you, like actually you in the phone, saying right here in this video, points where the orange cart would be, but this is selling out fast, so run. And then when she says like, don't worry, I'm gonna drop you a link right here in this video. It's big sis friend vibes. It doesn't sound salesy. And her tone is just super like chill, laid back, not like, oh yeah, it's actually on sale now, run. It's just so well tied with the perfect little bow and that's it. And that is a quick sense of urgency to drive that conversion home. So if you stayed all the way through this video as a viewer, just scrolling on your For You page, you're very likely to buy that product at this point. And then I just want to reiterate that because she positioned this like a makeup tutorial rather than a straight ad for the eyeshadow palette, like I told you guys she could have started as naturally more girls will want to actually watch this all the way through, save it, even if they're not going to buy just because it's like viral content. And it also builds credibility for her and people are more likely to want to buy the product from this video specifically. It's genius. It's a win-win because makeup tutorials are way more likely to be what girls want to watch rather than just you sitting. in your kitchen doing like a bottom of funnel makeup ad style, or even just you like showing you putting it on. This is giving herself that much more leverage. Okay, how did that feel? How was that? Before we move on and do some together, does that make sense? Does, um, the line-by-line breakdown make sense? What is her handle? It is Jodi Ping. It's actually the number 2 video on TikTok Shop right now. Oops, Jodi Ping. Need a little bit of my drink. Got this little like the recess drinks for like your mood. I love them. Okay, I'm glad you guys loved it. Well, we can do a non-skit one. But Silvana, like for example, what I really want you guys to learn from this apart from the logistics of it being a skit is just the amount of reiteration in her line by line that we can do in our own videos. When you're really thinking about outside of the box, what is the viewer going to be skeptical of that would keep them from buying? And in my video, how can I convey that? Because I've actually never done a skit with my content and I've seen massively viral videos doing the same things with like line by line. So, it's just kind of understanding why it works so well rather than— I don't expect you guys to go and remake that amazing video. I just want you to start to learn, oh, each line was so intentional down to the word of her saying, this might be scary, but— or, don't worry, here it is, because you're starting to understand as an affiliate, as a content creator that there's more to it than just, hey guys, I just got this in the mail. Let's try it. even like if you think you have a good hook but then nothing more, that you need to learn the body of the video as well because you have to learn how to retain the viewer the whole time and get them to really want to buy it from, from you. Is there a way to filter and find the top TikTok Shop videos of all time? I feel like there definitely is with CowData, but I like to know what's working now because what worked like even a year ago doesn't work anymore, or might not work anymore, but the same principles always do. So it's kind of cool to like see them all across time. So it would be cool to see that. I think Calendly does let you do like 180 days, but you have to pay more for it. And I'm sure daily virals. Yeah, like even last 365, if I upgraded to this, I could see in the last year the top videos. It's it's the top in Caladata. It's the same. So TikTok Shop, Caladata pulls from TikTok Shop, and there's so many. There's a lot of beauty and personal care ones. I don't even have the beauty and personal care filter on. It's just that beauty and personal care is genuinely what's dominating right now. And then this coffee maker, pillow, this metabolic support thing. A lot of these aren't even from this month too. So you can see that it's not like these just blew up recently. These have been working for a very long time or for months. Where were you able to see this number 2? Right here on cal.veronica. So this is number 2 overall in the last 30 days doing $380,000 alone from a single video in revenue and getting 11 million views. The number one video right now is this Mellow video, the Mellow Pillow video. I also want to love to see how this applies to a short yapping video dissection. How can we spin this if we're not great at skits? Okay, let's do a short yapping video. Let me find one.
So I'm sitting in my car waiting for my nail tech. To be ready for me. And I just got my eyelashes done and look at all this. I don't want to go in there and have her seeing me like this.
Okay, this just works because it's going to be a clear dramatic difference because she has the eye bags. So I don't think we can all reenact that, but that's— I can just tell that performed so well because it's relatable. She's in her car, she's like, hey, I'm going to go into work quick. Let me just show you how I'm going to hide these insane bags. But that would be hard for a lot of us to remake because we don't really have insane eye bags. But let's try to find.
So in case your mama never taught you how to take care of your body the same way you do your face.
Okay, let's do this one. Are you guys cool with this one? Is that like a little gapping video or maybe this one? The comments don't lie.
The zero appetite and the craving. What?
Which one do you guys want to dissect? Wait, you had those, Stephanie? Those are like the number one product of the home niche, especially with Mellow. You should definitely do those. Girl in the pink dress. All right, Kate, because this masterclass— or no, Carrie, I would say. I thought you were Kate, but this masterclass was inspired by Kate. But I'll do the pink dress unless Kate, you want me to do a different one because I know you said to do a short yapping video. So I want to make sure that the next one I do, because we're probably not only going to have time to do one more, which one you guys want. And I can do this more. I can absolutely do this more because I think this is really important. And the more you learn it and see it being done, you're just going to understand it even more. And then naturally, as you're filming, you're going to know There's a lot more that goes into it. And when you're scripting, you're going to think, okay, I should add a quick one-liner that's just going to reinforce what I want to get across, if that makes sense. Okay, I second pink dress one. Let's do this one. Let's first watch it all the way through.
Okay.
And then I'm going to copy the script from Calodata. And then instead of like hand typing it, that will take too long. I'll just like read each line and then kind of brain dump why I think it works so well. Or as I go through it, I'll pause and say like, I'll watch it once all the way through, then watch it again, and then pause after each thing saying why it's done so well. When was this one posted actually? I want to see. This was posted end of June. Okay, good. That's good for context because I wanted to know if it was viral from last fall or when. It's actually on the downtrend, which means it doing 13 million views is a lot lower than last month, which is crazy. So that means this video went mega viral. It might have gotten 50 million views, who knows. And it sold about 10, almost 10,000 items in the last 30 days. So let's see what it is.
So in case your mama never taught you how to take care of your body the same way you do your face, I am going to share my skincare routine that has my body looking even in tone. I have literally no scars. My skin is baby fucking soft, and I literally only use 2 products. No, this isn't gonna break the bank. It's not gonna cost a pretty penny, but it does target body acne and body brightening. Literally just like to lather with a brightening body wash. Really any brightening body wash that has kojic acid. The one I use has kojic acid, turmeric, vitamin C, and niacinamide. This is a Korean skincare brand. I literally only use Korean skincare. I'm sorry, I don't know how y'all feel about Korean skincare, but I just don't trust American body care brands or just American brands at all. Literally everything I use on my face and body is Korean. Lather with this on and leave it on for 10 minutes. I like at one point was like lathering this in between my ass crack and it bleached my booty hole pink. So this shit is strong. I use it every single day. My skin is like evened and toned and like I used to have like scars on my body from shaving, gone. It's like a magic eraser bleach in a fucking bottle. Anyways, lather. This is going to be your body wash. It smells like lemons. It smells so good. Um, like I said, you can use literally anyone. I also use this hypochloric acid. Hypochloric acid is going to kill all of that nasty bacteria on your body. I'm not even going to lie, do this at your own risk. I stopped wearing fucking deodorant after using hydroquinone acid because I just don't stink anymore. It's gotten rid of my body odor. Really good if you have like scaly, rough lizard skin, backne, backne. It's gonna kill all of that bacteria, all of that body acne. It's going to make your dead skin peel. The shower water is going to drain black from all of the nasty dead skin that you have on your body, and it's going to be fucking disgusting. But yeah, these are the only 2 things I use in the shower every single day. In case your mom never told you, girl, you don't need a 7-step body care routine. You don't need to be using all these scrubs, all these washes. But the ones I use, link down below if you guys want to try these 2. So in case your mama never taught you how to take care of your—
She literally ended on an inflection. That is crazy. Is that the whole— so she literally sold the entire bundle only showing 2 products. That's crazy. That just shows how well done it was. Also, can we take note of 364,000 likes? That's insane. So this is what we would call an organically viral video, plus it got ran up as an ad, but it wasn't just a TikTok Shop affiliate sitting at their desk filming about body care with like a hook, whatever. This is a girl that's coming at it like, I'm gonna be giving big sis, putting the girls on vibe. She says like a lot, she swears, she makes funny jokes. This is why it went so viral. At no point is the common viewer gonna think that this is an ad. You're thinking, oh my gosh, this girl is putting me on game. So let's just restart. I'm just gonna play it and then I'll export the script for you guys too, but you'll have the recording of like me breaking it down. But I want to like play it and pause after each part. So one of the lessons in girlhood, that title, instead of her saying like Korean skincare hack to looking good, or this is how I blah blah blah, she is casting a wide net. This is what I like to talk about, casting a wide net. So you're not shrinking down your audience, you are making it As open as the sky. Literally the only requirement to watch this video is that you're a girl and you're, you're getting a lesson. So right off the bat, seeing that title, again, same as the other video, you feel like you scrolling is going to be you missing out on valuable information. People will scroll if they feel like it's an ad. People won't scroll if they feel like, if I scroll past this, I'm not going to know this secret. So she understands that when she's making her video, she's like, how can I call them in to want to watch my video and hear what I have to say? So she knows she has to say something like, in case your mama never told you, because that's more relatable, more polarizing than her just being like, girl, let me show you how I get my skin looking like this and this. It's like, in case your mama never told you, it's more polarizing. I want to see how she transitions.
Wait.
So she's instantly adding authority. She's adding credibility. Like, hey, I have— and she's showing you, I have glowy oil skin. It's flawless, no scars, whatever. You can do something similar by having your skin with the product fresh on. Just talk about looking good. And then instantly her saying, in case you were never told by your mama, To take care of your body the same way you do your face, which isn't a common thing we're taught. So she's already kind of coming off as like the big sis, like just so you know, this is a big lesson you need to hear in girlhood. Then she transitioned into before even saying let me show you, she's like my skin looks like this. Now let me tell you more of like you watching. It's not oh I don't care. I want to scroll past this. It's like dang, she just told me what I need to be doing. I should probably listen to what she has to say because if at first you just say. Let me show you why you should be taking care of your body like your face. People might scroll because they don't have enough reason to stay and care. Just by her saying that line that way makes you feel like you need to stay and care. Exactly. I can't stress enough, it's not always about the perfect camera setup, your phone being on a tripod with a flashlight. Yes, some girls do that way, but the most naturally organic viral videos right now are the ones where girls are in their car. There's a little bit of shuffling. It's like that satisfying ASMR sound of their nails clicking or like setting the phone down because again everything to make you feel like you're not being sold on something but you're being let in on a secret. That is the whole idea of it. And then her just like kind of smacking her lips, talking, looking down. She also— I'll just let it play but I love how she didn't even say like you need to use Medicube. She's like, oh, like the one I use is this one from Medicube. Like kind of just like as if she doesn't even know what she's doing. She does it so well that you would never think she has incentive to make money from this video because she's like acting like she doesn't even know which She's like, oh, like the one I use is Medicube, blah blah blah. And then she also adds authority to Korean skincare when she's like, I don't do anything but Korean skincare. But let's just keep watching. Boom! Instead of in the last video she did at the end, she does it right away because you know that a lot of girls seeing this video, just with the sheer volume of views this video is getting, she knows a lot of people watching this are going to be thinking, dang, I can't just afford two more products. But right away she's like. And no, this is not going to break your bank. It's not going to cost you a pretty penny. So now you already are locked in. That's removing instant skepticism so that way you staying for this video isn't going to lead you just to wonder if it's going to be too expensive. Super, super smart that she does that. Still giving big sis vibes like, girl, it's not going to cost you a lot. Body acne, body brightening. She said it's super chill, but that is a massive pain point, especially for the younger Generation, chest acne, back acne, and then who doesn't want bright, glowy skin? So she just quickly is like, "This is going to cover boom boom," but that's two big pain points. It's massive. It's a huge desire we have. See how she's she doesn't give like you need to get this one. It's like literally any body wash that has kojic acid, but the one I use is Medicube. It has blah blah blah. So natural. It literally feels like you're discovering it with her, which I was just talking about this. Acting like you're discovering it with them, or just like acting like you're figuring out the product and just putting them on, is so smart because the viewer just relates to you and trusts you so much more. Adding in two more ingredients other than just kojic acid, it has vitamin C and niacinamide, and then she goes into Korean skincare about it being like important. Like kind of being like, I'm sorry, I don't know how y'all feel about like removing skepticism, acting like funny, but I'm sorry, I don't know how y'all feel, but like I don't use this American crap you need. Kind of being like it adds a layer to the viewer thinking, dang, like this girl is really stressing how great Korean skincare is. I might want to try some of that. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but sometimes like it literally cuts off her last word. I know some affiliates that actually intentionally do this because it kind of like keeps it so open loop and weirdly makes it flow better. Take that with a grain of salt. I don't want you guys to all do that, but I've also cut off my videos super short where I'm almost like cutting off my last word just to make it go quicker. Again, don't know if this was intentional or not. I think it is because you can tell she's a genius. And it went so viral, but it is like satisfying how that happens, and it kind of like clicks. It's just like the the noise is so satisfying. This yeah um yeah that you know so that is actually a viral angle that's working for Dr. Malaxson over and over is those moms that are like if your butthole looks like this and they bend over and then show an overlay of like Barnacle butt, whatever. She's literally taking that concept but putting it in her one-liner of being like a girl's girl, like to the point where like I literally did it and it bleached my butthole. Literally just saying, hey, this works so well. So she's like putting you, she's sharing you something TMI, but that's reinforcing subconsciously in your mind as a buyer that, oh yeah, this works. And it's funny, it's relatable. Also barnacle butt. I just saw someone say that, Danielle, and it went viral. So I was like, that's smart. I want to use that. But also, as you know, obvious as it is, saying anything personal like that or TMI is just naturally bound to go a little bit more viral. You guys don't have to do this, but that is part of why this works so well because it catches you so off guard. Like you hearing that is like polarizing. You know, it's not boring. It's like, oh my gosh, girl, you like lighten your butthole with that? That's crazy. And then it also might create a layer of, am I missing out? Like most people, I don't think lighten their butthole and scrub it with kojic acid. So like Most of the viewers are probably like, dang, like this girl takes care of her body. She looks good. Should I be doing that? Question mark kind of thing. Again, you naturally trusting her more, like even just thinking like, should I be doing that? Is you subconsciously thinking like she's telling you something that works really, really well. And then her kind of being like saying it's so funny instead of saying it like a script. She's just like, by the way, I did this. I'm gonna go back a little bit. Just making it sound incredible. Yeah, like shaking it, being like, I look good. I also used to have, you know, a lot of top affiliates like relate to a pain point from before and she's not using any overlays, guys. She's literally just telling you it. So you just believe her. But like I used to have dark circles, blah blah blah blah blah. I used to have the worst stretch marks gone, blah blah. So she's just saying a big pain point that she had: the worst scars from shaving gone. Even layering in quickly that it smells so good. So not only is it so amazing, lemon lather. It's just the whole time it's girls girl. I just like watching it. It doesn't feel like an ad. Shakes it, introduces it, and then into a quick fact. I talk about layering in a quick fact. Share some authority of why this is important. Not just, I use hypochlorous acid. Now say, what is so great about it? It's going to get all that gunk, that bacteria, that stink off of your body. That's why you need to be using it. Again, the butthole thing was so diabolical and a crazy thing to say that it works so well. Now she's even saying this second product helped her to not wear deodorant. So these 2 products alone are subconsciously solving massive pain points for women. Smell, bacteria, lightening, brightening, glow. Even if we don't get that same outcome, if that happened for her, it makes us want those products. And the way she's delivering it instead of coming off as boring. She's doing it so naturally, so funny. You trust her. And now you're like, dang, she's playing with it, shaking it too. It just is so tangible. You want it. Plus it's so desirable. You know what I mean? I want it. Just looking at her glowing too. There's a lot of things to learn from just the visual itself. That's such a huge pain point again for Younger girl. I mean, older women too, but I just feel like girls her age at least, seeing her can relate to having acne, scaly skin, and she's covering a huge audience. Scaly skin, bacne, this, that. It's like, this is going to be a huge thing to help. Lizard skin. Yes. Oh, I've talked about this in other masterclasses if you're newer, saying terms that are a little bit more polarizing than just the thing that it is. So instead of saying acne, this is going to help with those craters on your back. Instead of scaly skin, this is going to help with that lizard skin. It literally makes you feel like it's a worse thing than it actually is. And if you can say something kind of out there, barnacle butt, for example, and I said it earlier, someone else did that. It is so much crazier. And again, pattern interrupt. Like they're like, what did you just say? Did you just say what I think you said? That makes it more viral, more intriguing. People comment about it, boosting engagement more rather than just saying This will help with stretch marks, bacne, whatever. It's like you're literally giving it a term that is intimidating and crazy. And that also helps. So it's really good that she did that because I wanted to share that as well. It's really, really good to do in your videos if you can think of something funny to say. She's already— when you listen, it's going to do this to you. Your shower water is going to do this. It's going to be gross. She's already telling your future self that already has these products. So you already are envisioning yourself using it in your shower with the shower water draining black, with it being gross and peeling. So smart, because the more you can make the viewer envision themselves actively using it and the feeling that comes with it, the more likely they're going to actually buy it. It is a proven fact with consumers or with consumerism since literally they did studies on this in the '60s. All these ads want to do is make the person feel like they're experiencing the product. That's not manipulative. That's not unethical. It's just the truth of like, you want— like when slime was so viral, it still is. It's like that feeling of like, oh, I want it in the camera. It's so aesthetic. It's so ASMR. So your duty, if you want your videos to convert well, is to also layer in the feeling, the experience of using it beyond just it being a product because you're not selling a product. You're selling a feeling on the other side of it. So the way your skin's going to be peeling off, it's going to be gross, but girl, trust me, it's worth it. So she is adding that in to make it clear that you're already envisioning yourself, you using it. Also, small hint, I love that her bottle's almost empty, just adding further proof that she's using it. Whether or not, we don't know if she dumped it out or not, but That is also very intentional, I'm sure, because if she was using a full bottle, you'd be like, girl, it's full. You don't use that. But because it's empty, you're thinking, okay, she's actually using it. Excuse me. Boom, more authority. Because it's funny, I love that she said this. You might be thinking skeptically, okay, but 2 more products? I don't need this many steps. I'm content with my body wash. She's literally contradicting that by saying, girl, don't listen to these people telling you you need 7 steps. Almost like protecting herself from getting hate about that by saying like, I'm not telling you to do that. I'm just saying all you need is these 2. So that's really smart. And it's so smart that you would never think she intentionally said it that way. But just by her saying that, she's protecting herself from getting called out of like, we don't need all that crap by literally reassuring you that you don't need that and you just need these 2. So smart. Again, I always get asked, how do I make my call to actions natural? She wasn't even looking at the camera. She's setting it down. She knows that by saying, I linked it down below, that could be a red flag to the viewer of, oh, now this is in her incentive. So how can she make it sound as natural as possible where people aren't going to say, oh, it was just an ad after all? So she is putting the stuff down. She's being like, oh, I linked it below, like whatever. I'm going to replay it because I want to hear the whole thing that she said. 2, ending on an inflection. That's smart. Literally implying that there's more that's going to come. Again, don't know if she said something after that and then edited it out or intentionally did that, but it being ending on an inflection is kind of interesting because it just loops back to the beginning. So that's really cool. I've never even seen an affiliate do that. I think that'd be cool to test out. But that call to action, did you see how natural that was? Like just link down below, blah, blah, blah. In case no one ever told you, you don't need that much. These are the only 2 that I use, shaking them, link them down below. And then she actually links the whole bundle, which is crazy. Not just those 2. So how is that? I'm going to copy the— where is it? The script of this one and put it into the Google Doc as well. Just so you guys have it. This is the reason I do love Calendly, because you can literally get like the scripts. I used to like hand type scripts. Does that— is anyone else, or is anyone in this class an OG from when I would actually like hand type scripts out? I still do sometimes because I like to just literally word for word learn it, but that was before the—
oops—
before the Calendly feature where you could just like copy and paste it. Okay, I'm going to also link the video so you guys have it. And then I'll give you guys this document after. And then that's her username if you guys want to watch her other videos. But yeah, that's very, very viral. And there's a lot to it that made it work so well. Aw, thanks. I love you guys. That was Clint was saying. I love Clint. Oh my gosh, that's such a flashback. I literally my first viral NAD video was he was like one of the first people that celebrated with me. Like that is such a flashback. That was one of my first first viral videos, and Clint was like so motivating. Definitely, if you guys are in the Catacore Discord, which you all have access to it being in Miss Affiliate, go watch those calls too. Like that is sauce. Those are top affiliates in that niche. So take in as much as you can in Miss Affiliate. You're gonna have like. You don't— you're gonna have so much in here, but you also have access to some of these brand Discords and they have creator calls in there. Like, I know Catacore's Discord, it's free, and just by being an affiliate for them you get access to resources. And it's so cool that he's coaching in there. Um, oh cute, is that Ziggy? Oh my gosh, is he a— what is he, a golden— no, he's not a golden doodle. Is he a cockapoo? What is he? It's so cute. Flapjacks. I watched this. Oh, that's so cool. You were legit expert on that video. Oh my gosh, you saw it?
Thank you.
Need more viral breakdowns. Absolutely. I can do more viral breakdowns. I really enjoy them. And I think I forget that there's so much to learn from them. And it's easy to forget that there's so much behind these videos. And Word for word, line for line is important. We need more of this, Annamaria, to help understand how to go through scripts. Of course.
Yeah.
Can anyone else not hear Annamaria?
Shoot.
Can you hear me? It's always my worst fear when I do these calls. I didn't know. Yeah, it does. I can do a more in-depth CalData thing if you guys need, but I'm just making sure I didn't— anything with kojic acid. But yes, that's so smart. So some people tell you to call an exact audience that resonates, but it sounds like you recommend a wide net. So Kate, that depends. So like with NAD, right? Let's just take that for example, the Catechore product. You know, 16-year-old girls are not going to give a rip about NAD or anti-aging because they're 16, even like 16 to like 22. So with that product, you would want to call an exact audience. You would want to be like, your hook is If you're rapidly approaching 40 and you don't want to look a decade older than you have to, or blah, blah, blah, you say kind of a pain point of like, if you're in your 40s and your jowls are making you look older, a decade older, whatever, that I would like to argue is a pretty exact audience. That's like women that are 40 plus because your product is for them. A product like kojic acid body wash that could be applied to any group, you want to cast a wider net with. So you kind of have to know your product's desired outcome and the kind of audience that would use it. With the eyeshadow palette, I think that could be pretty broad. That could be girls that are in high school that love doing their makeup, and it could be legit makeup artists. It could be 50-year-old women. That is so broad. So she needed to keep it broad by reinforcing that anyone can achieve this. With maybe anti-aging Korean skincare, you want it to be pretty broad, but kind of hinting at this is anti-aging. So it just depends on the product. I hope that makes sense. If a brand runs it as an ad— so Michelle, you don't even get affected by being an ad. It just helps you because you just get commissioned. So in fact, it's kind of a win-win if they run as an ad. However, some brands, because they're spending money on the ads, there's a thing called shop ads commission that gets lowered a little bit. So There's organic commission that if you organically, which means someone saw your video that the brand didn't pay to have, buys it from you, you get the full 20%, whatever it is. Some ads lower it to like 10% if it's an ad person buying it because they're obviously paying for that purchase, but you still get commission. So yes, you're getting commission. And then on top of that, a lot of creators at a higher level, and you'll learn this as you kind of grow too, do charge for ad usage or more More of that, but I I always think it's good to be ran as an ad like you want to because that gives you more exposure, more commission, makes you more viral all that. And they can't do with your videos no matter what. You have to have have to have ad authorization on, but you want ad authorization on. I do talk about this as well. Okay, want to get caught up. So does daily virus. Yeah, I think like most of them. I mean, I feel like they all should because that's like a really important feature. Do you know if Caladata can filter Spanish videos? Ooh, I don't know. Brazil, Mexico. Well, that's the region. Oh, language. Let's see. Language. Español. Is that just make— okay, that just makes it translate to Spanish.
Yeah. Okay.
Wait, how did I do that? No, I can't. Now I can't go back. Someone who speaks Spanish, help me. How do I turn it back to English? Here it is. Okay, English. Um, I can look into that stuff. I'm not sure, but I know a lot of products that are viral still have top Spanish affiliates. So if you like find these viral products and you scroll down to the top videos, there's always one or two that are Spanish creators, and then you can just watch those. My bra that I say for women over 40, it's going to the young age group. That's so interesting. Maybe younger girls watching it were just wanting to have a boob lift. Like they like want that. They want to have big boobs. I don't know why that is. I feel like I get stuck with the body script, how to write the transformation, the imagination that will make it convert. I mean, sometimes it's not even writing it, it just flows. For her in her car, I don't know if she scripted it or not, but she understood where she had to carry the viewer through them never hearing about it to them wanting to listen to her because she's giving you a secret to them being obsessed with the product because she's telling you all the reasons why it's so great to now there's a sense of urgency. So you have to follow that format. But I can do a class on this for scripting specifically. But I have done ones with scripting the body. And yes, use ChatGPT. You can literally copy her script and say, help me write a script that follows this framework for this product, and then kind of tweak it from there. Do you know if TikTok is cracking down on overlays for skincare? I'm not sure. It hasn't for me, um, but if anything, apparently it's getting less cracky down. They're actually lifting a lot of the weight loss stuff. They're making it easier for that. They did lift some of the before and after stuff. Um, I talked to a couple reps that were saying they want to like advocate for creators more. They're aware of how bad the violations were this year and how hard it was for creators to advocate for themselves. So I don't think they want to. If anything, it's more so just like don't say crazy stuff, and then if you don't have to use an overlay, you don't have to.
To.
There's plenty of videos going viral that don't use them. And if you do use them, preferably use animations, not real photos, so you don't get the violation that says like a disturbing image, or it's just less likely to trigger a violation if it's an animated photo is what I've seen slash heard. But don't take that as law because some accounts just can do anything. Some accounts get slapped back and forth. Who knows how they're actually—
how it actually works.
And even TikTok saying like we're trying to be better. It's like okay, well what are they actually doing? I don't know. Do you think they're scripting every line before filming? I think the skit girl definitely scripted that. I know even Aurelie like hers is so good and she scripted hers to a T and hers went super viral. It's the same kind of authority vibe. There's no way to really tell. Some girls and I've talked about this before, but some girls are unconsciously. Competent, meaning that, like that woman in her car we just watched, for example, maybe she has no idea, she didn't script anything and she just unconsciously knows how to make a really freaking good yapping video ad because she knows that if she says a crazy hook and says some crazy statements and then drills home how important this product is, she'll get it to go viral. Versus someone like me, for example, maybe I'm not unconsciously competent, I can't just yap, but I understand That there's a real reason that specific style works. So I am going to script it word for word. So whether or not she actually did or didn't doesn't really matter. It's just the fact that there's a reason her video worked. And if you aren't someone who can just go and yap, understanding like I have to carry them through this process, it's in your benefit to script. For me, sometimes I like yapping still and just testing the water to see like, I know, okay, I have to have a good hook. I have to be acting natural. I have to be using it with them, or I'll recite the script a couple times by myself, but then I won't look at it when I'm actually filming, and then kind of let my own mind take me somewhere. And in the video, I'll say things that deviate from my script, but I actually like more. And I'm like, okay, that's way more authentic. So I've heard affiliates do it all. I've heard complete scripting. I've heard sometimes script, sometimes off the cuff. I've heard, yeah, no, I always yap. But the one common denominator, if they're performing well, is that they follow this framework. It's really intentional. It's just like some people are really good at math because they study math and they put in the hours. And there's just like the genius kid that just knows numbers super well but doesn't really try. It's that kind of same thing. It's just some of these affiliates are naturally really good. Some are learning the skill to be really good but still do just as well. TikTok doesn't care about cussing. With the weight loss, I can send the updated thing. I'll send what it is. There's a clear— like, they made a graph of, or like a diagram of what to say. I think I dropped it last week. Um, I saw a lot of affiliates talking about it. So, and again, I don't want to take that as law because you just never know, but I think it's pretty Up to speed. It basically is saying, "Hey, we're not going to be as crazy on you guys. Just don't say like this amount." A lot of it is timeline deductive. So if you say you're going to do this in X amount of weeks or X percent, that's bad. That's violation. But insinuating a vague desired effect is now okay, like weight loss or saying certain things. I think GLP is still a no-no. But does that make sense? It's saying like a specific timeline. They don't want you to do that, but they are allowing you to more insinuate weight loss or feeling fuller, blah, blah, blah. Also, they want you to still steer away from encouraging bad eating habits. So don't say stuff like you're not going to eat or you're going to feel fuller. They don't want that, but they're allowing you to say, again, certain desired looks. Yeah, exactly what Laney said. So just be careful. The good thing is, the good news for us is that that's always one of the best-selling concepts. Weight loss is just going to be massive no matter what. So that's a huge win for a lot of affiliates that do like the Cutting Mix, they do the, the Nello Tea, they do the Yerba Magic, or just like any kind of metabolism drink or pill or anything. That was a big reason so many people didn't want to do it is because TikTok was so strict with it. But now they're being less strict. That's a really, really good sign. And that's going to be a reason some people can crush on it because they can go back to it now and say a little bit more stuff that can get you that Yes. Tread cautiously again, because this is the funny thing about TikTok, which I know you understand, Laney. They'll literally say stuff and then it won't be true. That's why I don't listen to any stuff that gets dropped even in Lark. I don't trust it because I feel like they don't even know. Pretty much it's people versus AI. So what the AI bot— there's no way that everyone's videos is being manually checked. First, it's done AI, then it gets manually escalated when you appeal it. So this AI is still maybe going to flag your video, even if the people of TikTok are saying, hey, we're going to allow this now. The AI might not be like— it's not going to be perfect 100% of the time. So that's why you can— I literally got over $100,000 of commission frozen for 90 days, literally because in a Medicube video I said an exact fact from the brand. I said over 40% noticed Hair shedding deduction over four weeks, but because I said over four weeks, the AI hated that and then put my commission on hold. So even if there's like a video you see on your feed of a girl being like, "Hey, we can say this now," just be careful because the AI or like whatever automates and checks our videos, it still might give you a slap on the wrist. Doesn't mean you should be afraid, but just always know that like with this space, it's not clear black and white. I wish it was. We all wish it was. We all just wish we knew what we couldn't couldn't say. But unfortunately, because it's just such a huge app and there's so many users, and AI is not going to be perfect because it's just so much that it's covering, you still might get a violation even if you're told it was okay to say something. I'm not sure about the before and after with weight loss, Veronica. I'm going to see if there's videos of people doing it. I want to say I've seen videos of people doing it, or they just show an old photo, but they don't show an after. Does that make sense? Like, I've seen people say like, this was me 6 months ago, but they never show like a photo after to kind of avoid that loop of before-after directly. I think with Experience app will be more organic and easier right now. For me, it's impossible. Yeah, sorry, my brain farted. It will absolutely be more organic and easier. Oh my gosh, when I first started, I literally sounded like a robot. When I watch my old videos, I thought I was doing so good too, and like, they're just so robotic. Um, no, Michelle, you want to post the similar thing, the same product. That's good. That's what a lot of top affiliates do. It's like the same few products, similar stuff. Um, but obviously that's more so when it's working for you. So if you see traction with anything of any sort, like you see maybe a jump in views compared to most your posts, then keep posting that style and that product because you never know, that could be your winning product and your algorithm is telling you, hey, maybe you were aesthetic in this video, or you like that you were in your kitchen, or it resonated because you said this or this. That's a clear sign. That's clear feedback that you want to act on. You don't want to just ignore that. So then I would say, yeah, post that same product, post that same thing multiple times. Don't reinvent the wheel. You don't have to reinvent the wheel every single time, but you are still in a testing phase. So keep that in mind. Yeah, I don't like to delete and re-edit. Because it does mess with it. Even if you actually ask the TikTok AI search thing, it tells you this might affect your views. So try to have it the final version of it when you post it. And if you do have to delete and re-edit, just know that it might not perform as well. But okay guys, um, I hope this made sense. I hope this was easy to understand, and I wanted to do this more because I really like doing this. It also like gets me excited to film because I feel like I get so many ideas when I go through these lines. I'm like, oh my gosh, it's so smart. Like, I need to do that. So I hope you guys enjoyed this too. Okay, good. I'm so glad you guys loved it. I will see you guys next week. Let me know if there's a certain topic you want, if you want this again, if you want a different style, if you want more scripting, anything. And then like always, if you have a request but you haven't watched all the masterclasses, just make sure it's not something I've already done a masterclass on because I feel like I've done so many topics and then certain topics again multiple times. But I do love, I love psychology, so I'm so down to do more of these with you guys. Thank you guys. Yeah, we can deep dive ads and cow data for sure. I feel like if anything, I should film a separate thing because I don't want to spend a whole masterclass A lot of the girls in here that have been here for a while know CalData and ads really well, so I don't want to waste their time. I want to still be valuable for them, but I can make a separate module just for the people that want to know CalData more deep. So absolutely. But honestly, I could just do an extra class and do it live. More technical filming. Yeah, like filming with you guys, just literally having you guys watch me film. Carrie, have you watched The Conversion Key? Because I can do a variation of that as well, but I also want to see videos too. When you say like you're getting views but low sales, there might be a clear— yes, watch that one. It's a masterclass I did on specifically why certain videos convert So well, and others don't. Trish, fonts and text on screen such a headache. Don't overthink it. Use a generic TikTok font. It's the most relatable. Do not switch the font. Do not do anything crazy. Keep it the normal font and just type a quick little title related to your video that could catch their eyes. If it's a headache, just don't do it. It's not going to make or break your video, but it only can help if you do a good hook. Like no one told me this dot dot dot as simple as that or You know what I mean? Something kind of open looping. Hey, um, we're just, we're just hanging up. Yeah, don't change the font.
That—
I'm genuinely not, not trying to be harsh, but a lot of millennial affiliates will do like crazy fonts and like make it neon and pink and all this crazy stuff, whereas these top viral videos all just do like the generic TikTok font, you know, like I don't know, like she did it. Why isn't it scrolling down? Like TikTok font, TikTok font, TikTok font. This is a little bit crazy, but because the angle is losing weight, it carries. So the font doesn't matter, but the generic TikTok font is the best. Millennial here, literally not trying to offend. I just That is what I've noticed. Like the younger crew that kind of like has gotten the hang of content, they're all doing like lowercase, like regular, regular font, the TikTok font, because it's native to TikTok. Whereas if you do like a crazy sideways cursive pink one, not saying it can't go viral because there's videos that do work because the video is done well. It just might be a little bit, a little bit less in your favor. Yeah, it's literally Stephanie. It's literally like the very first one that gets recommended. Let me find it. Like okay blah blah blah blah blah posting posting testing testing. Okay, hit the check mark when you go to add it. It's literally the classic, the very first one that gets selected. That's the TikTok font. And then if you want to add. Black and white around it. Just click that black A, and then it will do that. Oh, can you hear me again? It's because it's yelling at me. I can't, I guess, use my phone while I'm connected. Anyways, you can now disconnect.
Wait.
Testing. Can you guys still hear me?
Okay.
What I was saying was I just filmed a video, and then when you hit check, you just hit the A to go add text. It's the very first one that gets selected. It's the classic one. It's literally the recommended first thing. And then when you type, it's the TikTok font. And then if you want to bold it, it's the top A, which I've talked about all the oops. Not that one. You want it to be the black surrounded version. I've talked about this before in editing, but that's the TikTok font. It's the first one recommended. What does a 1.4 mean? Did I make? Yes, you did. If that's showing up in your commission, that's your first dollar commission. So congrats. The mic just wants to switch. Yeah, sorry about that. Little headache. But okay, guys. Yeah, congrats. That's your dashboard. That, that won't lie to you. Sometimes it's a little bit off, but it wouldn't tell you, at least I don't think, money that you didn't make. Oh, thank you, Danielle. The sun set as we did this call. Exactly. Celebrating all the small and big wins. It's so exciting. Do not repost the same videos again and again and again because, Michelle, you can get a It's called something not reused content violation. What's it? It's a certain violation you could maybe trigger. Yeah, unoriginal. Thank you. Unoriginal content violation. But if you see people that are doing like the same clips, it's because they film a ton of clips in their camera roll and then are stitching it in different ways to create a new piece of content that's different. But like literally just reusing. same video will get you, and it actually might suppress your views because it knows this video has been played before. The algorithm is so smart, you can't trick it. I would still be careful, Michelle, but maybe because like I said, some people do do the same body hooks or videos. But if you're filming with your back camera, yeah, I think if you did like a different hook and then added in the same clip, it might be okay. But yeah, I agree. I think it depends on what you're selling. Like, I've seen QVC Home people do it a lot. They use like the same clips, but they just make it a little different. So I'm honestly not too positive. Just be careful with it. Maybe test the waters. Um, but okay guys, I'm really hungry and I have to pee. I have to pee, so I'm gonna go pee. But I hope you guys enjoyed this class. I love talking to you guys. And for those of you who call it was their first, welcome. If you've been here for a while, also welcome. I love you guys. And let me know what else you want to learn next week. I'm more than happy to cover whatever. Bye guys. All right, so that just wrapped up my live masterclass inside of Miss Affiliate.
