Today we're having an event which is focused on early-stage female entrepreneurs, and it's really about exposing Explaining how the game works, you know, when you start off, money, capital investment is really important, and how do investors kind of regard the game, what do you need to do to actually be a player and get going.
Even if you're at a concept stage, there's lots of supports out there to facilitate people starting their business, so it's all about getting out there and finding out what is applicable to your business and what you can apply for.
My top tips would be for females to believe in themselves, to have confidence, to have ambition, to realise that ambition, and to be able to validate in some form their opportunity.
I thought it was very useful to see the perspectives, all the different perspectives, from the founder perspective, the investor perspective, and I thought it was just thought-provoking in terms of, you know, all the things to keep in mind.
It was like a checklist for Being able to actually meet people who are involved directly in tech startups, it was actually really fantastic to meet them and find out what they're looking for.
It's very inspiring actually, especially to hear about the journey the entrepreneurs went on themselves and their funding journey. It's, you know, it's a real roller coaster, so it was very inspiring that, you know, how they kept going and everything.
I think it certainly opened my eyes to the whole world of funding, and I maybe view it as not so intimidating anymore.
