Three mentors discuss FIRST Robotics, marveling at students' technical skills and the program's impact. They note that CAD software feels like a foreign language, even to experienced mentors, but the work itself is remarkable.

Yeah, it's pretty amazing that that FIRST Robotics program is— I don't think there's a better thing you could put your kids in. Like, we love to laugh and joke and do all those things, but that one gets pretty serious. It is incredible. Here's what kids should be. They provide so much hope and joy and just inspiration out there. I'm just in awe at what these kids can do all the time. It's an amazing, an amazing program.
I mean, it's amazing. I'm just— I can't even fathom how I would start. And yet they're, you know, 20 years younger than me and they're like, oh yeah, you just do this, this, and this. This and you're like, you're like, yeah. Yeah. Can we backtrack like 30 steps? Cause you lost me already.
Yeah. Don't ask them about their CAD programs or you'll get lost in that, you know, it gets all sorts of foreign language, foreign language for sure.
Even to us and we're mentors.
We can, we can appreciate it. We can appreciate it. We don't have to know everything.
