A morning meditation practice that stops fighting your wandering mind. Set a timer around 5:30 am, sit on your balcony with ambient sounds, and let thoughts go where they want. The timer will tell you when to stop.

So a lot of times I think when people go into meditating, from what I've heard from other people and how I've also perceived it, our goal is to not think about anything. That's like physically impossible not to think of anything. So when I do it and I sit in silence, I would always set a timer for myself. So hey, at this specific time in the morning, whether it was like 5:30 in the morning or 6 o'clock, that worked best for me. I knew when my timer went off, we're going to meditate. So I would sit on my balcony. I wouldn't even put on headphones. So I would hear cars driving by. I would hear the wind, birds chirping, and I just told I tell myself, you're going to get through this until your alarm goes off. And who cares if your mind wanders? Let it wander. Don't think about, oh, how am I not going to get my mind to wander? That's the worst thing you can do. Just let it go.
