Anthony Goldner and others discuss drinking coffee right before a ten-minute nap. Caffeine takes 10-20 minutes to hit, so you wake up as it kicks in for a double boost of alertness. The trick is falling asleep fast after the coffee.

Have you guys ever had, um, a Puccino's where you have a coffee right before you take a nap? And within like—
I've heard of it and I don't know how you do that.
Because the caffeine doesn't kick in for another like 10, 15, 20 minutes. So when you wake up from your quick power nap, it's like a double, um, bam. Yeah. It's a beautiful thing. I don't nap normally, but the few times that I, that I have, I'm like, wow.
A few. I used to nap and then I got two kids.
So drink it. Yeah. Go take a nap for 10 minutes and then wake up and be like, bam, bam, bam, bam. Let's go.
Yeah. Yeah. I was gonna like, let's go. But you have to be able to fall asleep right after you drink it. Otherwise, if you wait for it to kick in, then it's game over. Yeah. Just know that.
Just like, I'm not falling, I'm not falling asleep in 10 minutes.
