Here's how you can do the color grade before and after effect in Premiere Pro. Head over to your media browser, Click on File New and then Adjustment layer. Now just drag and drop the adjustment layer on top of the clip and make sure you cover the whole clip by extending it. Now this next part is important. You want to make sure that the color grade is applied on the adjustment layer itself and not on the clip. What this does is basically it separates the color grade from the video to the actual grade itself. Now head over to your effects pan control and click on position to start adding keyframes. On the first frame, use the X axis and slide it to the point where you cannot see the grade. Now just move a couple second forwards and reset the X axis which will bring the initial grid back to its original position. Now if you play from the start, you get the slide on effect of a before and after of a color grade. If you found this helpful, don't forget to hit the Follow button.
