Steal My Local Ad Strategy & Sign 5 New Clients From Instagram

In this instructional video Areeb Mirza walks viewers through a complete, low‑cost local‑ads + direct‑message (DM) funnel designed to acquire 3‑5 new clients within 30 days from Instagram. He starts by debunking the myth that high‑production video is required, outlining a simple content formula (hook, value, CTA) that can be shot on a phone. He recommends posting three times a week (Mon‑Wed‑Fri) and using competitor inspiration while keeping the brand’s local focus. Mirza then details how to turn an Instagram profile into a landing page: clear bio, single booking link (no Linktree), highlights that showcase wins, process, and reviews, and a 5‑second rule for instant credibility. The ad setup is explained – a $20‑$50 daily budget, a single video (or a series: intro, work, process, proof) that targets a specific city (e.g., Austin) and includes a compelling, no‑brainer offer. After the ad drives local followers, a personal DM script is provided: a friendly greeting, a reference to the prospect’s recent post, a location qualifier, and a series of follow‑up questions that build rapport before sharing a booking link. Mirza stresses manual outreach over automation to avoid platform penalties, and he outlines how the conversation pipeline matures over 90 days, turning cold followers into warm leads and eventually booked consultations. He also promotes a done‑for‑you service that handles scripting, filming, editing, ad management, and offers case‑study links for credibility. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action to comment, watch a related strategy video, and subscribe.

This local ad strategy, which I'm about to show you, can literally get you your first 3 to 4 clients from social media within the next 30 days. Now, this is the same strategy some agencies might charge you a couple thousand dollars for just to implement it. And within the next 15 minutes, I'm just going to give it to you away for free on exactly what thought process you need to have, what exactly you need to do, and also a done-for-you script which you can literally just implement after watching this video. Let's get into it. So this is how the high-level overview looks like. Now, of course, we're going to dive deep into every single one of these points. So the number one thing is good content. Now, a lot of people confuse good content with like, you know, high-quality cinema-level content, which can of course be beneficial. But depending on what stage the business is at, you can avoid that. You can honestly just use your iPhone. And as long as the video is, you know, just viewable and it doesn't necessarily look too blurry and it's actually audible, meaning there's not much static or background noise, like you're fine. You just need to work on a good hook, a value portion, and a good call to action. And then you can also look into honestly some of your competitors, what they're posting, and just kind of like use some of their styles and make it your own. So that's something I would do in the start. Of course, you have the local ads, your profile, then of course from the local ads are going to come to your profile. Then we're going to do some personal DMs, which I'm going to talk about specifically what exactly to send so you can just copy it. And then also how you can pretty much get consultations or conversations happening more and more. Because another thing you need to understand about all of this is when it comes to social media and just kind of like getting more clients in general, you always need to start with more people knowing about your product because some people just think about it like, okay, if I reach 10 people, 10 people should buy. That's not how it works. You need to reach out to tens of thousands of people for 10 people to buy. That's just how it works. So social media kind of gives you that volume. What you do with that volume is something you can be a lot more tactical with. So that's why there's like multiple types of funnels. You can run a webinar, you can run a VSL call funnel, but the local DM funnel is something you can actually try for a relatively low cost because VSL call funnels, you have to spend at least $10,000 a month. Webinars, you have to spend like $10,000 on it just for kind of like see how one webinar performs. A DM funnel, you can honestly just start off with like $20 to $50 a day. So that's why it's super effective. Right. So what should the content rhythm be? So let's say, of course, you're kind of like a solo team right now. You're the one-man band. Number one thing I would suggest is to just kind of like post 3 times a week. That's pretty much it. Now, we usually recommend to post on a daily basis, but since this is something you're still just starting out on and we're still going to be running some ads as well, I think just having a cadence of posting 3 times a week and using the rest of the days to just make sure you have enough ideas and you have enough edited clips and you have enough kind of like recorded clips as well is something that's going to be a lot more tactical. So we definitely don't want to burn out at this specific point because I've met a lot of business owners who can't necessarily keep a consistent rhythm. So you need to kind of like commit to this as well. Don't necessarily just post for 4 weeks and that's it. So actually make a content rhythm for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday over here. So what goes into a good post? So what does a good post even look like? And I have kind of like a generated example over here. This is not necessarily a real brand, But for example, let's say a good post could be like, okay, planning an event in Austin, show the finished setup, explain what you handled. And the call to action could be see more of our local event setups. So this could be kind of like a good post, which can also perhaps use as an ad as well. So this is more of a local example because remember the audience we're reaching out to are all localized. We don't necessarily want to reach out to people who are not even in the Austin market because the entire premise of this specific funnel is to get you customers fast, is to get conversations fast is to kind of like get more activity within your area as fast as possible. So I know like when it comes to a post, you can use a broader hook. You can kind of like play around with sound effects. You can just use a little bit more viral angle. But again, we're just trying to reach out to people who are local to you so we can generate more conversations. So this could be kind of like one of the frameworks. Hey, if you're planning an event in Austin and then you just kind of like in the value portion showcase what you've did. And of course, in this example, I've used kind of like an event decor kind of like business since it's a local business. But this could work with— of course, this could work with a hair salon. This could work with like a med spa, anything localized. Like the chances of this working is substantially high. Now, another thing you need to do before we even start running ads is setting up your profile properly. So if your profile looks very vague, like it only has one sentence bio, you don't have no highlights. And of course, the profile is all over a mess. Even if you do run ads, you're not going to get a lot of people who are actually going to convert. You're going to get the bad, bad bunch of people who just follow everybody for fun. So you need to treat your profile as a landing page. Like, how does your profile look like? How does your profile picture look like? How does your bio look like? Do you have highlights over here? So even on the highlights, and this is something you can literally just, you know, honestly generate using AI for you, you can literally just copy and paste it and like, hey, optimize this profile for me. But usually the good formula for this is having kind of like a clear bio, like what you do. How you do it, where you do it, and then of course, where can they reach out to you? Now, one thing I don't necessarily recommend you do is putting a Linktree in the bio. I personally don't like Linktrees because it just adds another step for them to book a call with you. And Linktrees usually make it a lot more confusing. And I know it's kind of like a user thing as well where they just like put in a bunch of stuff. But however, you just need to use one clear link where they can just click on it and book a consultation with you, or they know the process to actually going in and booking with you is going to be extremely simple. Because the more steps you add and the more barriers you add, the more difficult it becomes for them to even become a consultant. Like you just get less bookings, let's put it that way. So make sure that you just have one clear link over here that they could click on and actually go ahead and book a call with you. So these are pretty much kind of like the 4 points you can perhaps use. And like I said, on the highlight side of things, these are the same highlights we're using here. So of course you can show wins, you can show events, process reviews. So these are just something that they can like really quickly click on and get a glimpse of what you do. Because even on the website, you have to realize that I like to personally use the 5-second rule. Like within 5 seconds, can they get all the information they need? And let's say if they look into your bio, if they look into your profile picture, they're like, okay, this is something I might be interested in. Then they go to your highlights, then they go to your pinned post. So all that stuff pretty much happens as a step 2. So something to keep in mind. Okay, perfect. So what we're going to do is we're going to test this out for a month. Now this is something I usually recommend to try for 3 months, any marketing strategy, depending on, of course, you know, what the business is, but you can try this out for a month first. So you can of course choose the local audience and you can choose a video. Ideally it explains where you are, where you are, what you do, and kind of like, you know, how you do it, all those elements. And then you can put $20 to $50 a day on this specific ad. And this basically tells them what you do and why choose your offer. And a strong existing video can be the ad as well. Now ideally you can of course create a separate video where you call out the audience in the hook. Of course, tell them what you do and why should they choose your offer. Maybe it's something kind of like a one-time deal. Like you have to make sure the offer is appealing too. You can't just necessarily advertise what your competitor's advertising and think they'll go with you. You need to come up with a better offer, whether it's a free kind of like consult, whether you actually go to them, Whether it's, you know, whatever it is in your industry, you need to come up with something extremely— what's it called— like a no-brainer where they're going to be like, okay, you know what, let me try this out, something like that. So it's kind of like a step of the funnel where you can just convert cold people into warmer and then from there you just sell them onto your main thing. So that's going to be extremely important. Then you can just spend $20 to $50 a day into this and then this would basically show a lot of people within your service area. So that's going to be pretty much the tactic over here that we need to be implementing. Now also, you don't necessarily have to do all of this in one video. You can do this in several videos. So for example, one of them could be the introduction video. Another video could be the work video. Third video could be the process video. Fourth video could be the proof video. Because how the algorithms usually work is let's say somebody really likes the work video and most people are coming in through the work video, but they're not necessarily converting through the work video. Let's say they want to see more videos as well, because that's just one of the things how conversion happens. Like people don't necessarily see just one thing and convert right away. Of course some people do, but this is just one of those things to keep in mind where people need to see variety and people need to see multiple stuff of your brand before they even convert. So this is another thing you can do, another strategy you could use. But again, like this is something for the DM funnel specifically. You can literally put all of the budget into one video and it's still going to be fine. And by the way, if you own a service business, we do have a full done-for-you offer on content where we take care of the scripting, the recording, the editing, and the publishing. And depending on how your business is doing, we can also help with paid advertising as well on Meta specifically. Where we build you the entire ad setup and we actually one-on-one run the ads for you so you can start seeing results pretty much right off the bat as well. There's a link in the description where you can see all of our case studies and the hundreds of businesses we've helped and all of the industries that we've scaled as well. And if everything works out, just book a call with us and then we can take it from there. Back to the video. So now what's going to happen if you're spending, you know, $50 a day, like every new follower gets a hello. So let's say you're getting 5 to 10 new followers a day within your market, within, of course, let's say the Austin market in this example. You need to, of course, open their profile and you need to send them a personal hello. Now, theoretically, you can automate this, but automation doesn't necessarily get too customized unless you're using some sort of AI agent, which I don't necessarily recommend because, you know, like these platforms catch on to it and it might just put your profile at risk. So we don't necessarily want to use a lot of these agents. So what you can do, since you're still getting only 5 to 10 followers a day, you can text all of them. Honestly, it'll take like, you know, 30 seconds every time you open the app. So the first message you're going to send is, hey John, this is Sam. Wanted to appreciate you for following me. That's literally the first text. And then right after that, you're going to send either 1 or 2 more texts depending on, of course, the industry. Now, this is something kind of like a sales part you'll need to just customize according to your specific business. But this is just kind of like a concept I'm showing you of how to apply this stuff whenever a local follower comes into your place. I really like your latest post about where you think the economy is headed. So for example, let's say Sam here is talking about the economy in his latest post. So you can just mention that. So it immediately tells them that this is a real person and he actually took the time to go to my profile. And then also you can say, also, are you based here in Austin? And this is just one of those things which is extremely easy to say yes to, because if we're going to ask kind of like a very open-ended question, if it's, you know, one of those things where they have to think to answer, it just becomes a lot more difficult to even receive an answer in the first place. So very simple. Hey, also, are you based here in Austin? Yes, I am. No, I'm not. If they're not, of course, that's kind of like a disqualifier for you. If not, of course, you can still talk to them. But if they are, then that means you can carry the conversation further. So let's say we get a response to this. Yes, I am. Your next message could be, got it. Curious to know what brought you to my page. And then in an ideal scenario, they just tell you, like, yeah, we have an event coming up next month and need someone for the setup. So they'll just initiate the conversation sometimes. If not, then you can of course carry on the conversation and you need to kind of like see how the conversation flows. And then usually it needs to end up with you sending them the link to book a consult with you. You can't necessarily just send the consult link without any context and without any conversation, like build a rapport first. Now, this doesn't necessarily mean overdoing it either, like where you're just sending 20 messages left, right and center. Of course, it depends on the prospect too, but you can't just do that either. You have to build some sort of rapport. Understand some sort of problem and see if this is something they even want in the first place. And then of course, if it makes sense, you can also send voice notes. You can send kind of like, you know, you can do a video chat if you want. I feel like that's being a little extreme, but that's something you can do. But that's where you pretty much kind of like send over the link if you've identified the problem, that this is something you can solve. So and of course, the more you do these, the more idea you will get of what type of script works best for you. Because ideally, like within the first week or two, like you'll still be figuring out naturally. That's why we recommend doing it for 90 days in the first place. But for the first month, you will at least get a proof of concept. So this is going to be extremely important. And then from there, all the consultation service, if they're actively looking for your service, yes, cool. You know, book a consultation. Want to book a quick consultation to talk through your event? Not yet. You just keep sharing useful content. This is the part where we kind of like keep coming back to this, where even if they're a follower, we still need to make sure that they're seeing your stuff over and over again. Because depending on the type of business you are, just because they're not ready yet doesn't necessarily mean they're going to not be ready 2 or 3 months from now. So you have to kind of calculate that part as well, because as soon as you're doing this for a while, let's say you're doing this for a year, the pipeline builds up and it just kind of introduces a lot more predictability because in a year's timeline there's a lot of people you have already spoken to. So the person you spoke to 6 months ago, like he's probably ready now. And the person you spoke kind of like a while back now as well, Like he's getting ready now too. And the people you're talking to actively, they're going to be ready 3 months from now. So you can kind of like see how the cycle is pretty much building up and up and up, and then your pipeline is pretty much getting full too. So that's kind of one of the powerful things you can use to kind of like make this work. Perfect. Cool. And of course, this is pretty much the DM funnel in a nutshell. And the work continues throughout the month. Of course, you need to make sure you have your profile ready, local ads every day for a month, and then personal DMs, which you know, is going to be towards every, every new follower that you get. And if you follow this process through and throughout, you're going to get a lot of leads. You're going to, of course, have more conversations. And then from that conversations, you're going to book more deals by definition, because the formula goes something like this. You need more reach. More reach brings you more conversations. More conversations brings you more bookings, and more bookings gets you more money. So that's pretty much kind of like how the cycle goes. And you need to kind of like follow that. You need to reach people in the thousands or hundreds of thousands so you can have more conversations. But this doesn't necessarily mean the reach is going to be trash. The reach needs to be quality as well. So of course you're not necessarily like this profile over here with 182 followers. Like you might be sitting at 2,000 followers, but you're going to be making a lot more deals because it's localized. It's very specific. It's very hyper-targeted towards the specific type of people you're trying to attract. So that is kind of like the beauty of just running a strategy like this to just kind of get more deals. And by the way, if you did enjoy this video, I would love for you to just kind of like leave a comment on what your specific business is about. And if you need any help there too, I'm happy to help. And by the way, if you enjoyed this video, you will love this video over here which talks about another ad strategy which you might find super helpful. I'll see you in the next one.
