Short YouTube clip by Areeb Mirza (July 25, 2023) addressing whether the Sony FX3/FX6 line overheats. The speaker reports that the FX6 (referred to interchangeably with FX3 in the clip) does not overheat even in consistently hot conditions (Houston, 100°F+), contrasts this with an 'A74' camera that he says regularly overheats—especially when recording 4K—and recommends the FX3 as a reliable choice for video work.

Guys I can approve. The FX6 does not overheat. This is a beast of a camera. Where I live in Houston, it's always 100 degrees plus here. And this guy does not overheat. I have another camera, a 74, which always overheats. You just press record and that guy stops recording as soon as you press record. Especially in 4K. So if you're looking at a camera that's reliable, professional cinema, great. And checks all the boxes, when it comes to videos, the FX3 is a no brainer to buy.
