Facebook Ads Not Performing? I Figured Out Why and It's Not What You Think

Areeb Mirza walks through a testing framework: run six image ads at $20-$50 each for 1-2 weeks, find the winner, then make a video that opens with that image's headline in the first four seconds. Video ads pull higher-intent leads and fewer time-wasters, though some still slip through.

How's it going, guys? So in today's video, I'm going to give you an ad framework that is going to significantly improve your lead quality. Do exactly this and this will work for you. So whether you're a service, business owner, you own a local business, whether you're a coach, whether you're an agency, this would apply for all of you. So without further ado, let's get into it because what a lot of people do is they'll just run some random ads and that is pretty much it. They'll let it run, they won't improve it, they'll either switch campaigns and they'll just do a lot of mixed stuff that doesn't make sense. So the framework I have set up over here is something that you'll need to follow and then just improve this over time and then you will be fine. So the boxes over here, as you see are just different types of image creatives that you're going to be trying. So 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. So six of them to be particular. So you're going to have six images generated which are going to have your offer or just going to explain what your services are. And this is something you're going to run as a regular ad campaign. This could be a lead from campaign or like a conversion from your website campaign. We're not going to talk about what the behind the scenes process is. This is just on how to improve your current campaigns. So you're going to run six creatives and then you're just going to let them run for a week, see how they perform, maybe even two weeks, see how they perform. And then the only thing with image creatives is that the quality sometimes isn't always good, especially if the setup is simple. If it's just a Facebook form to like a website, quality is sometimes is fine. However, if you're taking them through a VSL funnel, then the quality might be better. But images are usually something that gets more leads because it's easy to read, it's easy to identify within seconds if this is something that worked for this person or not and they'll click on the button. So in that regards, image creatives are very, very good. Now let's say within these six ones you were testing out, the sixth one is performing the best. So this one over here is performing the best. So now what we'll do is we're going to create a video version of this creative. Whatever the different elements or different things you used within this creative. Like another key point is like all of These have to be different. They can't just be like the same image with a couple of tweaks. Just try to make sure like all of these are like very different. Like have different wordings, different messages, maybe even different designs and just like test them side by side. Now, let's say the sixth one did the best one. Like the sixth one performed the best. What we're going to do now is create a video version of the sixth one. So it's already a proven concept. Now we're just going to be turning it into a video. And how you start the video is how you started the image. So what's in the image is going to come out of your mouth within the first four seconds on the video. That's the hook. Because you know already works and you know this hook is actually going to work and bring in people. Now the cool thing about the video part is that it actually can hold more information because you're recording a video, might as well just brief them more into what your services are about and who is it for. So that's the beautiful part of it. Now we're transitioning from a photo to a video which contains more information. So this would mean better quality leads, just by definition. There's also one more thing I've noticed when it comes to video versus the image campaigns as well. Let's say you're redirecting them to a form and then to a website. And this also depends on the different types of funnels. Everyone has different types of funnels, methodologies. But let's say you're just using the standard VSL methods. When it comes to the VSL methods kind of gets difficult to track. But usually with the video campaign, people are more likely to take an action. The action, the intent goes up because they've watched a video, they see an actual person or the creative and they're more interested in learning more about what the product is, the image. Sometimes they could be just curious on what it is. They'll click a few buttons, enter the information real quickly and then see that they have to book a call. And then they'll just like not do that. With the video ones. The intent is always higher. Now, of course you will get a lot of time wasters on both. Not a lot. That depends on how your campaign is set up. You will get time wasters on both, but you will get less time wasters on the video 1. So it starts off with forms. Let's say you have regular Facebook form. And then you go to our website and whatever your action is that would always be more on the video side of things. Now, another comparison point I have over here is like, images are to the point, but they're forgettable. Sometimes what you might have noticed is when you call a lead, they will always instantly forget what they applied for, especially if you do it like, at least within like five hours or a day. Like, they're, they're, they're just, they don't remember it. So you have to kind of like jog their memory on what they applied for so they can get at least some sort of resemblance of an offer so they can at least think of something on what they applied for. Compared to a video, they're more likely to remember. And the lead quality, of course, would always be better, so more likely to remember because videos are just better likely to remember. Like, you probably remember some memes that you watched two years ago to this point. Now, ads are of course different, but ads compared to the video are definitely more likely to remember, especially if it's you yourself on the video and you're calling them the. Then of course, like, the voice might sound familiar to them as well, but that's only if you're calling them yourself. But yeah, videos are always more likely to be remembered. So this is something that could save you time. Super, super easy. So instead of just creating video campaigns and just starting off right off the bat, which you can, if you have a lot of experience within the field, within your industry, you've been doing ads for a long time. But if this is your first time and you haven't done ads at all in the past, or ads just have not been working for you, I would try this exact method. Start off with six different creatives. Put like $50, $20 behind them, six, see which one performs the best and turn that one into a video creative. And it doesn't mean you have to close this one off. Like, this one doesn't always just need to be turned off. Like, you could perhaps, let's say this one performs the best, this one performs second best, this one's performed the third best, the fourth, fifth, and the sixth. Like, these can be turned off. Like these. These ones can be turned off. So these ones can be turned off. So you can let this one run, you can let this one run, and you can let this one run. And then also you have another one active over here. So if this one is already performing, there's no point of turning this off. Because the only reason we're creating the video one is because we know that this is a proven method. So that doesn't mean we turn all of these off and just let this one running. Let all of these work. Let all of these work. Because the whole point of ads is to make money. So don't be afraid to just launching more campaigns and putting more money behind these. Because the whole goal of ads is to bring more leads in for your sales team or for yourself to call them and close them. So very, very important as well. So that is all for today's video. And if you do need a one time setup fee, or if you do need my team to take care of your ads and also your content, there's a calendly link right in the description below, which you can use to get on a call.
