So have you ever like searched a business page and also check out the socials? This is going more on and on. So let's say you're a service based business, let's say in Houston, where we're located at, and you looked up for example a lawyer, a law firm or something. Of course you look at the reviews and everything super important. Even though the last video talked about reviews aren't as relevant anymore. But to a certain point you still have to make sure you're working with the right person. And reviews is a good indicator of that, but it's not the only indicator of that. So one thing people neglect is that when you look up somebody's name. So let me look up a law firm, for example. Let me just look up any, Let me look at an Austin law firm. So Sid, so this one Sidley. Or let me just look up some more. So from my last point, as you can see all of them have like five stars. There's, there's no, no way. I'm like, there's no way. You can't find a law firm or any other business that will have lower than three star reviews. It just doesn't happen as quite as often. So let me just look up these people. Okay, now first thing that's going to pop up is their website, of course, and that, that should be the first thing that should pop up so they can just go and input the information. But let's say somebody's looking for a law firm and I'm not sure what they exactly do. Let me look that up. What do you guys do? Real estate. Okay, whatever. All right, so as you can see, the first couple of things that popped up are their socials. I don't know why Yelp is there for a law firm. People still use Yelp. I don't know. I just don't even bother going on Yelp. I guess it helps with Apple maps and stuff. But if you're a restaurant, Yelp is definitely beneficial. But I won't really focus on Yelp. I would research our own market. Like, don't just go on my word of like, hey, he told me not to use Yelp and now Yelp was all this time was supposed to be beneficial for me. Like, do your own research as well. But notice how LinkedIn, Facebook, like these are the first couple things that pop up right after the website. Let's say he didn't have this section over here.
And like the second thing they would have immediately see was LinkedIn. And as you can see, it's like nine followers. I don't even have to open it to realize that it is an inactive page. So let me just open it anyways. So 9 followers that are not that active. That's an immediate. It just doesn't look attractive. Or let me look at their Facebook. So the Last post was April 5, 2023. So that's also. That's is like they're not that active. It's not that good. And look at their page. What is this? When older people say enjoy them while they are young, they're talking about your knees and hips. What like, I understand like handling socials is like, can be a task, but if it directly correlates with more prospects, more leads, more revenue, why aren't you active on it? Like you. It's doesn't. I don't understand that part. Like it's.
So his competition. Like if we, if we look up any of his competition. Let's see if. Let's. Let's try to find an active lawyer. So for example, as soon as I typed Austin Law firm, the first person that popped up was Sidly llp. And like this person has nine reviews. I want to see why this one popped up first. So as you can clearly see, like this one popped up first and it has nine reviews. It's not even that they have more reviews and they popped up as soon as I open their LinkedIn over here. Because LinkedIn is their main platform that they decide to go all in. Clearly I'm not logged into LinkedIn so I guess I can't see. But they have 99,000 followers. That's why they popped up. That's why they're the first one who popped up on Google. So Google by itself takes benefit from these social platforms. They're also on Twitter. They're also well done, amazing. I'm not logged into Twitter so I can't see their most relevant posts because for some reason Twitter just doesn't allow you to see the most relevant post if you're not logged in. Alright, So I am viewing their Instagram at the moment. So as you can clearly, clearly, clearly see and they have ton of it, tons of videos. I like that they have. Like this one was two days ago. They're showing events. They're like active on Instagram. That's what I like seeing photos are good as long as you guys try to avoid graphics. Like this one's fine. International Wednesdays. But some pages that's like only graphics, you know, like those pages I'm talking about, they're like hey, 25% off or like some random graphics. Like you need to show faces, you need to show personality, you need to show what you're about. That is what works. And over here, if somebody wants to, you know, learn more about them, you can just scroll down. They have, they could definitely use more videos. But then as you're going to see over here, they're active in the community, they're moving around.
It's a good profile. Like better. Better than the ones the first one we saw. Yeah. So prospect is in its research phase. You need to just try to make sure that you're giving the prospect enough resources to make sure that they go with you. What are those things? For example, are you active on Facebook, Instagram, all the platforms that pop up first on your Google? You need to be active on those right now. Post videos about what you're doing. Post videos about answering your prospects question. Post videos about some personal stuff like what you've been up to next week, what do you like, what do you like to eat? Like people like this stuff and people connect well with it. So that'll be all for today's video. This is also something I sent on my newsletter if you're interested.
