So how do I use Color Wheels in Premiere Pro? So basically color wheels give you the ability to adjust colors in the dark or light parts of the video. This helps fix small issues in clips and adds more details to the overall look you want. You can brighten or darken specific areas in a well lit clip by adjusting the shadows or highlights. You can focus on the parts that need fixing and make these adjustments. The mid tone color wheel lets you change the overall contrast of the clip. When using these wheels there is a gear mechanism in place. You need to drag the crosshair to the color distances in order to achieve the look that's best suited for your video. This makes it easier to make accurate adjustments. In this particular clip I made my basic adjustments first converting it to a REC 709 and then I wanted to add a little more mysterious element to it now that I know that I can start grading it to achieve that look. So in Premiere Pro this is where the color wheels come in super handy.
