Short YouTube video (shorts) by Areeb Mirza discussing practical drone-flying techniques. The speakers introduce the topic and indicate a conversational demo with another participant (Jeremiah).
Should I wave or something?
Sure.
So in today's world, we're going to be talking about the techniques used when flying a drone. We got Jeremiah here, and let's see how it goes.
Orbiting your subject on your controller. All you need to do is have the sticks opposite to each other to achieve this shot with the drone, make sure your subject is in the center and your surroundings are clear enough to safely orbit. It may take some tweaking, but play around with it. It's a great technique to use. This next technique is a great reveal shot I do coming up from the sky. So we'll call it a 2 to 3 reveal. Basically, what's happening here is the drone is positioned on a bir eye view and you use the left stick to bring the drone down. And you tilt the gimbal upwards on the right shoulder as you go down. This next one is pretty simple. You can use a gimbal, but for larger distances, a drone is much better. So all you need to do is switch the drone to cinematic mode. Just push on your subject and this could be a great opening shot. Or build up as the subject reveal shot onto the last one. This right here is also a simple one, but it's one of those that adds to the overall sequence. The bird's eye view. Go to the sky and hack.
