Short YouTube clip by Areeb Mirza advising filmmakers to customize camera settings for efficiency. Main recommendation: prioritize speed and quick access to core exposure and color controls (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance) so they can be changed within seconds; place secondary items (stabilization, focus controls, picture profile, audio level) in function/menu for less frequent access. Speaker references using an A7IV.

Sony A7IV

Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance

Here's why you should customize your camera settings. Go through your camera and change the settings that fit your style. The one thing I would focus on is speed and faster access. For me personally on my A7IV, the shutter speed, aperture, ISO and the white balance are changeable within seconds because these are the main components you need and my extra things all go in the function menu, stabilization, focus speaking, picture profile and audio level. All of these things make me way more efficient in recordings.
