Why you're stupid if you're not using Instagram to get leads.

Areeb Mirza argues service businesses need social media content to reach customers in 2024. Billboards only work for warm leads and brand recall, while social media lets you target cold audiences, track results, and build visibility daily. Consistent video content is how you differentiate and actually get leads.

Here's why you're stupid. If you don't create content in 2024, and I'm going to break this down very logically on why you should be creating content or if you don't need to, you don't have to.
So if you're a business, and this is for any business, we specifically work with service based B2C. But let's say you're a business and you're not creating content online, knowing that most people online around the world are using social media. So I have the stat over here. It says over 4.74 billion people across the world use social. In 2022, the number of social media users increased by 4.2%. Over 75% of the world's population age 13 use social media. Over 93% of Internet users are social media users. 76% of North Americans use social media. So if you're watching this video, there's a high likely chance that you live in North America. Couple more stats I want to go over here before, give my thoughts. So worldwide, people spend an average of 2 hours and 28 minutes per day on social media. So let's just say most people and let's say people, like, let's just say 4.74 billion people on average spend 2 hours and 28 minutes per day on social media per day. Okay. And you decide not to, you know, come up for even 30 seconds in front of their feed. And you can do that just by running ads. You, you can find your target customer and run ads directly to them. And within those two hours and 28 minutes per day, they will see your ad. Now, they might not respond, they might not act on it, but if you have a solid structured system installed within your profile, they're most likely to respond. They're most likely to react to your ad, respond to your ad, look at your ad, or just take any sort of action regarding your ad. Now, there's a lot of other stats we could go over, but just by looking at these few top ones, you should already get an idea of, you know, a, why you should be on the platform and B, just to get a clear image of where the market is headed in general. So let's say you're a law firm and you are advertising locally on the billboards. So I live in Houston, Texas, and just from the Houston airport to Houston downtown, you'll see over 50 law firm boards, billboards. Well, 50 might be too much, but you see a lot of law firm billboards. And the only thing that was cool about Them was how they were made, the imagery. And they'll have like cool catchphrases like we serve justice or you know, something, something along the line. And as I was, you know, driving past, I just came to the conclusion, I'm like, is this a battle for like who has the best catchphrase? Because clearly none of them are sticking out because most of them have good imagery. They're all high quality images, all good catchphrases. So is it like who has the best catchphrase? Like, what are they initially trying to get go on from here? And mind you, billboards aren't that cheap. They'll charge like $500 or something a day. I don't know why. Now, a place where billboards can help, and I want to give credit where credit is due, is it helps convert the warm leads. Now this is something social media does as well. But just to talk about billboards in specific, let's say you met somebody or if someone is already interested in hiring you, then the billboard will keep you as a reminder. And for that reason it is good just that reminder factor because that person is already a warm lead. He is most likely to go with you because he's seeing your billboard on their local drive every day. But when it comes to converting cold traffic or new traffic and generating inbound leads, not really. So whenever you do local advertising like that, when you come to buying a poster or billboards, just ask yourself what kind of results are you aiming for. Most of you guys want leads, signups, inviting traffic, getting that traffic. But billboards in general don't do a good job when it comes to the differentiating factor. So now that we've covered that part, now let's go on to social media and why you should be posting. So apart from the stats, we're going to talk about how it can benefit you. So let's say law firm page again, you can use social media as an opportunity to build a personalized brand or build a personalized brand. Like this is where the competition, you actually have control over the competition. It's not about who has the best cast phrase or who has the best imagery. You can also use that, I guess, but it's more on who am I connecting more with. I like this person's message more. I like, I like the content he creates. I like her approach more to certain aspects of life. For example, like you're posting stories of as a law firm, as a lawyer, you're posting stories of, you know, you hanging out with clients or something more personalized that people might like. And they're like, hey, this guy's very friendly. I like how he does business. I'm going to go with him. Hey, this person is very by the books. He doesn't miss a detail. I want to go with him. This type of things you won't get on billboards. So just that personalized aspect is such a game changer for social media. It's not just and most people use. And this is a point I'm going to come up with, most people do use social media as a billboard. When you post these graphics or just static post, you're basically using it as a billboard. Show your personality on social media. That is what it's for. You need to find a way to differentiate yourself from other brands. That is how you get new traffic. That is how you get actual traffic. If you're doing what everyone else is doing, you're going to get leads which may or might not convert. But if you're creating video content day in, day out and talking about and giving value to people, talking about things that might be useful to everyday person, things of that nature, that can still definitely be relating to your brand, that is going to help you a lot more than some billboards. So really quickly wanted to make this video because if you find a way to differentiate yourself from the competition, which social media gives you a great access of and a lot of tools, then you're winning because you don't have to worry about the competition. People just prefer to go with you because they like your message, they like what you're doing, they like your content. You've created this machine of a feed where you can grow your audience, you can track data, you can advertise on it, you can post every day and come in front of your followers feed every single day. And I do think as time passes on, this is going to be more of a necessity than a decision.
