Cash In On Location In Hotel Business!

This is a YouTube video titled "Cash In On Location In Hotel Business!" created in March 2015. It features a single speaker discussing the importance of leveraging location-based marketing and social media platforms for businesses such as hotels and restaurants, emphasizing strategies to attract travelers and customers through location awareness and digital engagement.
Hi and welcome to one more episode of Internet Moguls. Today we'd like to talk about location. Like you see that we're sitting in Vancouver downtown at a very, you know, there are restaurants all over the place and it is one of the most centrally located places in Vancouver downtown, near Coal harbor, offline. The business for marketing, for restaurants, hotels, everything has always been location, location, location. You want to be where everybody is. You want to be where the tourists are, you want to be where the business hub is. And what you propagate, always in your maps, in your brochures, to your travel agents, to everybody, is that I am located five minutes from here and I'm located two minutes from the SeaBus, one minute from the railway station, half a minute from the bus stop, there's free parking. All of that has been inherent in the marketing DNA since marketing started. Since your location started. Now is the age of social media now, unfortunately, I still see a lot of hotels and restaurants not really capitalizing on your location. If you have a good location, make it work. You have Yelp, you have Foursquare, you have Facebook, you have Google. Everybody has location maps, everybody had location testing today. You have the best cell phones available and people are today finding out location based restaurants. You're finding interest based travelers, you're finding location based travelers. Your GPS will come up with the location, you'll come up with offers and promotions. There is so much that can be done with location. There are over 10 platforms and there are free location sites. You must engage your social media. If you're working with an agency or you're working in house, or you're doing it for your own business, make sure that you dedicate a couple of days to make sure that your locations are fixed for where you are. Not only on your website, where you located, 5 minutes from which place, 10 minutes from which place, but also on your map. So when your travelers, when your prospective travelers are passing by, they know your location. Number two, your Facebook ads, your Google Ads, all of them should talk about your location, location, location. How far are you located from each other place? Today people have an option on different applications to save locations and next time when they're passing by, they can go to your hotel, restaurant or any of your outfit, coffee shop, bakery, whatever business you're running and there'll be a pop up message saying that you are passing by this particular restaurant for this kind of a flavor. If you're selling seafood, if you're selling Indian food, you could be selling any kind of food or rooms or whatever. Person passing by will get a message saying your interest shows that you are looking at this that you like seafood. There is a seafood location close by. All of this is location on social media. Very few people that I work with around the world I see actually capitalizing on social media for location. Spend two days. Write to us. We can help you work on location on social media. I hope this small episode helped you about to make more sense of social media and locations. Write to us if you want more information. I look forward to seeing you on the other side of the other episode. Thank you for watching.
