Avi Arya walks through how to monetize a travel website fast. Use Google Keyword Planner to find what people actually search for, pick a niche, and respond to customer questions with personalized videos instead of generic answers.
Foreign topic has come as a question to me. Now these questions come to me through my LinkedIn profile. Everybody's like, LinkedIn, LinkedIn, what happened to Facebook? Facebook is as relevant. But many questions are coming from LinkedIn. So here's the question that I wanted to answer today. A lot of travel agents have been asking, how should I monetize my travel packages before Christmas? Guys, let me make the topic of this video. How you can monetize your travel website in the next seven days. How does that sound? In seven days, if you follow what I'm going to tell you, I promise you, you will monetize your travel website. Here you go. So most travel websites that we've seen have got great pictures, destination information, all of that, and click here for packages. You have an itinerary and that's about it. I thought to myself, you're spending so much money writing information, getting bloggers or whatever, writing information, going to the place, finding an itinerary, putting in nice pictures. But when I like something and I send you a query, you're replying back to me by email. I'm not happy with that. I'll tell you what I did 15 to 17 years back when I started one of the first ever websites on travel in India called Tourism India dot com. I think I still own that domain name. You know, there was a time when everybody was booking domain names and I booked about 100 domain names. One of them was tourism-india.com tourism-rajasthan.com Many, many, many others for India and abroad. And I started putting information over there. Guess what I did differently? And that's what I'm telling you to do every time. Did you get a query? You must send a video reply. It's so easy today. If you have a professional team, great. If not, pick up your phone and say, hi, James, my name is Avi and I read your query for travel to Vancouver for four days and then you want to go to Whistler. So you have about seven days in Canada. That sounds. That's a little short, but. But let me make the most of it. And then you have a map at the background and you say, this is what I can do for you. These are my partners. These are the kind of trips that we've done. Show them the trip, show them the video, Make a nice video and post it to them. Your query confirmation rate will shoot up. It will shoot up because it's visual. You're showing who you are. You're showing your company, you're showing your people. Why will people not want to work with you. I promise you, your conversion rates will go up. Try that right away. But you might ask, what should I do to get queries? I'm not even getting queries, Avi. Where should I get queries from? So one thing that I always tell travel agents at that time is where is your mindset today? Because you have the Internet and the Internet has a website. And the Internet is not asking you to do business for your place. Like for example, I give the example of this lady over here, Jaris Cooper, Janice weighs in Denver. And Janice says that I've been doing tours into America for the last 14, 15 years. I have two dogs. She has a mother to take care of and her kids and all of that. And all she wants, like all of us in this life, is a little bit of happiness, a little bit of free time and some more money. Why is she doing all of those things? But her biggest challenge is that business is going down. People coming into India, into America is going down. It's not going down. Competition is increasing. So she doesn't know what to do. And I told Janice exactly what I want to tell all of you. You are in the Internet age, my dear ladies and gentlemen. What is stopping you from selling an African safari to somebody in India or selling a China Great Wall of China tour to somebody in Alaska? As long as you have the Internet, you can do whatever you want. Look at the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 destinations or the theme that you want to be an expert at. One thing I always say, find your niche. Become an expert in your niche. Don't do everything, because then it's a price game. And guess what a price game is. It's a race to the bottom. You don't want to do that. Find your niche. See what excites you. What are the destination you would like to go to? What are the destination that you would like to talk about in these kind of videos again and again, again and again. Because guess what, ladies and gentlemen, business is about relentless energy. A successful business is about unending, never ending passion. You can never say, I'm tired. You have to keep on going, keep on going, keep on going. So what is that one thing that will keep you going? Find that passion. Find that kind of travel itinerary, those kind of adventure tours, those kind of trekking tours, those kind of spiritual tours that you feel that's you. If your business is a true reflection of you are, of who you are, if you're going after money doesn't work so much, you go to a certain point and then you start feeling. But if you're going after your heart, you never get tired. You keep talking about your spiritual tours, you keep talking about your treks, where you're going. It's good for your social media, it's good for your travel website, it's good for the content generation. And people see you as the expert who takes them to Sedona, you as the expert who takes them for a trek to the Himalayas, you as the expert who makes them do meditation in beautiful parts of the world. Those kind of travel packages, find for yourself, find that kind of adventure, travel to yourself, and then sell whatever you want to different parts of the world. Now another question comes. How do I know what to sell? Okay, fine, you told me adventure. Fine, you told me these kind of tours. Fine, you told me that I can sell anything to anyone. What? How should I come? What kind of packages should I make? What are people looking for? I need more consumer insight like all the large companies have. Great question. There's something called Google Keyword Planner. Guess what? It's free. Go to Google Keyword Planner, put in keywords related to the customer. Kind of searches you're looking for. Adventures in Himalayas. What kind of searches would your clients be looking for for the kind of packages you're sending? For example, if you're selling packages to tours to Whistler, tours to Cancun, excursions in Mexico, what kind of. You see what people are looking for and what other kind of keywords will relate to those kind of keywords and what are the searches and where they're coming from? Are they more Chinese people looking for these kind of keywords? Are there more people from Europe looking for these kind of keywords? You will know the origin of the source. You will know what kind of people are coming in. That should set the ball rolling. Note down those keywords and make packages accordingly. Run Facebook ads against those and you see your queries coming in. And we already spoke about what to do when the query comes in. Show them who you are. Show them your true self. Send them videos. And that, my dear ladies and gentlemen, is not an exercise of more than seven days. And I promise you, doing these short, basic steps will help you monetize and make a very profitable travel business. A travel website in seven days. I hope this video helps. I wish you the best for the holiday season and a great, great, great year ahead. My name is Avi Arya from Internet Mogul.
