Avi Arya on the trade-offs of big ambitions: achieving success means sacrificing other parts of life, and your priorities shift over five to ten years. Building a global company of 100,000 people requires constantly developing leadership talent while balancing blind spots that every business has.
Whenever there's a dream, isn't that a trade-off with something or the other in life? Yeah, my life. Right. You be aware that I'm trading off this part of life to get to see this level of success. Yeah. So do you think that changes every 5 years? And if it does change in the next few years, 5 years, 10 years, because you're into spirituality, you're into self-awareness, and one day you say, you know what, this 100,000 dream doesn't excite me so much. Would you by then have seen a future where readers will be running a company?
Yeah, I mean, as the company evolves, quality and the caliber of the leadership will also really elevate that.
You're working actively on that, finding leaders all the time?
Yeah, I am working on that. Again, see, the thing with running this kind of business is you will always fall short on some things. Your marks will always fall short on a few things. You'll always be good in some zones. So many variables. So balancing the variables is the trickiest part. I am working to see how I can build that 100,000 setup of people across the world. Is it going to be people as a number? Is it going to be work and as outcome as a number? I want to be all over the world, right?
So now then, what it when you're coming to Vancouver. Yeah, Vancouver. Yes.
