how to become an expert Social media manager | How to become a Good Social media consultant

Avi Arya, founder of Internet Moguls, explains what it actually takes to become a social media manager. He pushes back on the glamour and emphasizes that the job requires commitment, hard work, and real skill, not just chasing followers or clout.
Foreign. Hi, everyone. Abhi, Arya here, Father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, a streetcar racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer and founder of Internet moguls. I hope you're having a fantastic day, as am I. I got up and I used this desk over here to bend down my thoughts. I still don't. I like to. I like to write down. It feels that I'm in control of what I want to do in life. There's a message that I had for you today in this video. All of you youngsters who are looking at social media people and thinking that they're cool and you want to follow them and all of that, just ask yourself one thing. Are you getting inspired, motivated, coming to events just to take pictures with your favorite social media stars, or are you actually listening to what they're saying? Because a lot of people come to me and say, please sponsor my ticket. And I have sponsored tickets passes for many eligible youngsters in the past and I will continue to do so as much as the capacity that I have. But I also see a lot of people so starstruck just taking pictures and tagging them on their social media that I met this person and I met that person. And there is absolutely no mention of the learning that came in after which I see those people on social media getting back to what they were doing, not posting the kind of micro videos they have to, not posting content, not blogging, not doing any affiliate marketing, getting back to what they might be doing. I am not here to judge anybody, but I just want to tell you one thing. I see a lot of people in their 18 and 20s and 30s with a lot of potential. The hustle that it takes to connect and to be able to continuously ask somebody for a free invite and a free pass shows the level of commitment and tenacity. You have to be able to enter the event and come into the ecosystem where you'll be able to meet social media people who are teaching, training and doing all of these classes. But I'm fearing that there might be a possibility that many of them just have the level of commitment to be able to get in there, get those pictures, selfies, become popular in their own circle, saying, I had the opportunity to work with these people, exaggerate the experience of meeting your social media people and then eventually taking no action. I just want to tell you that life is short and long at the same time. So very soon, people who are following your social media journey will call you for what it is. A spade will be called a Spade a fake will be called a fake. And I don't say human beings. Anybody has the opportunity to call anybody else a fake. But it is us who start looking at each ourselves one day and saying I have nothing to show for it. And ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you one thing. When you tell yourself that you are a fake or bhat time waste. I am 43 years old. I walked this planet for a very long time. I've made my share of mistakes, I've done my share of things and I applaud the enthusiasm, the commitment and the tenacity that many of you youngsters have who want to get into social media, who want to get into digital marketing. Don't fool your parents, don't fool your friends, don't fool your spouses. Don't fool yourself. Social media digital marketing is se field hair dismiss selfies, videos, fame, glamour, social media stage, all those things come but us Chakkar me hum is industry but uske baad the level of work that is needed to be able to add value to somebody's life. Whether as a digital marketer, blogger, affiliate marketer, Facebook ad expert though level of work Itna zaada hai that agar aapko yeah field instead of ego career person daati I find a lot of people leaving because they're like I cannot deal with work because I could not deal with work in the first place. I thought this was ego, I thought this was pictures, I thought this was selfies. I find a lot of people who are coming to this industry from smaller towns leaving their jobs without thinking. You know, I said screw this, screw that and then leave their jobs and they tell their wives, you know I've got it sorted, I'm going to do a digital marketing course on my digital marketing universities but there is a huge percentage of people free will, anybody can do what they want. I have no authority on the subject, I'm just telling you what I'm going through. But I'm part of the ecosystem. I see a lot of things happening at multiple events and this is global. People come into the industry thinking it's fame, grammar and all of that. But when it comes to getting your first client the level of commitment that's needed to send the proposal on time, to send a better proposal, to learn how to send a proposal, to do a course and then get work in the evening and then get an internship and then work seriously in that internship. A lot of people get internship to say that I have worked with so and so person and I've got internship in so and so company. But have you really done work in that internship? A lot of people get jobs and say, you know what, I think it's a great opportunity. Ladies and gentlemen, digital marketing. Especially with the human being or the agency whose values resonate with you and you feel, for example, Facebook ads, this is an industry I want to learn to get in and work with them. But work hard. Just because you got an internship or you got a job and you feel, oh my God, I'm one of the lucky ones in here and you stop, you start slipping, then you're not in the top five, 10% over there and then you leave that job or you're kicked out of the job or whatever happens and you come back and you, so you say, you know what? Now I'm ready. I can now do it because I've learned it all. Because I will do my own personal branding, I will do my own agency, I will do my own Facebook ads, I'll do my newsletter marketing. Jobi Makarova and then you start failing at that. And then you come back on social media and again you start asking. My Nani used to tell me my suitcase and my mom used to tell me what you do, how you do one thing is how you do everything. So the point I'm trying to make on this beautiful morning is, ladies and gentlemen, digital marketing and social media is a beautiful field because today it's the biggest opportunity in the history of business. If you see how hard a lot of people work on this and why I love this industry is because it allows me to communicate my message through videos or through social media, through Facebook ads, through newsletter marketing, and connect with large amounts of people. But message has to have value. Then you start a service industry or a product you're selling is never easy because things are changing in the industry. You learn and you unlearn. You learn and you unlearn. So it's a great field. The amount of money you can make, this is great. You can take care of your friends and your family. And the best part is, mom, dad, if you don't want to leave, you don't need to leave your family and move to another town. You don't need to uproot your yourself. You can do this kind of work from anywhere in the world, but learn a proper system and do it properly. If you're watching endless amount of TV and you're, you know, not taking care of your health and your habits are not in line with the success that you want, you're not, not really mapping up to that where you are today? So what I'm saying is, ladies and gentlemen, digital marketing, social media industry, you know, I've been doing this for 10 years. Internet Moguls has been a company for last 10 years. I founded it with four members. It's been growing with lots of challenges. We learn, we unlearn, clients teach us things, clients tell us what we're not doing right, what we're not doing wrong. We do slip up, we do make mistakes. But we love our field and we continue to want to do this. Then I started doing webinars. Ask Kavi Arya. Monday night webinars. Every Monday, 9 o', clock, from anywhere in the world, people come and say, this is what I like. This is what I didn't like. It's a newer field, so I'm learning about that. Then I get in touch with youngsters, such amazing youngsters all over the world. I get in touch with them, ask them about affiliates and all of those things that I want to learn more about. And then again you do that. It's non stop, but it is fruitful, it's rewarding. But the best part is it can be location free. That's the best, best, best part. But please, Please use this 10 minute video to reflect on the fact that are you being true to yourself and your family when you want to join this Digital marketing, it's a great field. I would love more and more people to join but have the tenacity that you have. I respect and admire the commitment, the tenacity, the force with which you want to go ahead in life. But let the glamour and the social proofing and all of that of being staged selfies and all of that, let that not be your calling factor into this industry. Kaam pe Focus Karo apnea bap ka naam Banega. I think that's the message I wanted to say in a nutshell. Thank you very much. Once again, this is Avi Arya, father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, a streetcar racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer and founder of Internet Moguls. I hope you enjoyed this. Wish you all the best in whatever you do in life. Thank you very much.
