How To Create A 5 Million Subscriber Channel With Himeesh Madaan | Avi Arya |

Himeesh Madaan talks about building a YouTube channel to 5 million subscribers. He covers his journey as a motivational speaker, the strategies that worked for growing his audience, and how he keeps people engaged with his content.
It's not necessarily that we need to have a hook. We need to follow one particular pattern. But yes, the sole purpose of any video should be that if I'm creating a value, it should reach people. I cannot be satisfied by saying that my video has value. No, that's not the pride moment. The pride movement is if it is reaching the right audiences. So for that if you have to do anything and everything, you should do it. For example, in my initial videos when I started, there was a video which was 40 minutes and I played 28 characters at that time and I was. I was not having any team. I was a makeup artist of each character. I was the cameraman for each character. So I was a human tripod, right to myself. My core purpose was that even if someone is not much interested in watching this video, that person should also say, I need this confidence. This video is for me. So even if a person who's watching an entertainment video or a song should get hooked or should stick to motivation. I try to think this way that anyone and everyone, even if a person who is not interested should watch my video till end, then of course, you know, you aim high and you reach somewhere.
Hi guys. My name is ABHI Arya. Father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, streetcar racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer. And today I've got somebody agarap India.
Especially.
Who this person is. Everybody knows him the best videos but domestic help Marte how that person is also a human being. 5 million followers or editing.
And many.
Many, many other questions. So what I'm going to do is that I'm going to let my young entrepreneurs take the hot seat and ask you the questions.
Great, great. Looking forward.
Awesome. So our first question, firstly for anyone I don't know who wouldn't, but for anyone who is not familiar yet, can you explain to us a little bit more about your story how you started on YouTube and a little bit more about your journey.
Sure. So it was like 2012 when I was working as a corporate trainer. So in a. In mnc. So the journey was good, was enjoying my corporate job, was training in different organizations and colleges. But then two years down, two years after my job as a corporate trainer, there was one incident which triggered me. So I. I was on a highway and I saw one of a student jumping from a college bus for a suicide. So that was right in front of my car and the shopper immediately applied brakes. We tried to help that student. Luckily we were able to save him. There was not, you know, no loss of life. Even he had some fractures. So we rushed him to hospital and that was the time I was thinking that the youth of the country and the world, they need so much of positivity, they need so much of inspiration. When, when a student is deciding to suicide. Then I went into facts. I got to know that every one hour one student is committing suicide in India. So these were the facts when I thought that if I am a trainer, it's my responsibility that training should reach masses. It should not just stay in the boardrooms or auditoriums of colleges. It should be a mass moment. So at that time, if you want to create a mass moment, you cannot reach out to lacks of people daily by doing physical events or seminars. Max you can do is 5,000 people in a month. So that's when I thought what is the next thing? So I thought Internet is the next great volume of videos in English, but in Hindi or in regional languages. There was no one who was inspiring people with the, with the local language. Right, the local touch. So that was another differentiator I picked. So simplifying the training and going regional was one of my key differentiators. And if anyone is trying to find out differentiators I would always see, I would always say that, try to check out that, you know, there would always be competition. But within the competition you can always find something which can be your differential, which, which can be your USP unique point. So I mean, if we start thinking, you know, there's a huge competition in a market, we'll never get a solution. But if we start thinking where is that gap which I need to identify? There would always be a gap.
Very true. Okay, that's very interesting answer, Aviana. Yeah. So my first question is who, who or what gave you the motivation to start motivational speaking?
Right. So I come from a family of. My whole family has been through a lot of hard knocks. We have seen all the ups and downs of life. We have seen great days and we have seen those days when we didn't know that tomorrow we'll be able to get a meal or not. So all those, that childhood, that inspiration, a lot of things I've got from my father, whom I saw fighting every day, who was a champion for me, who was fighting with all the odds of life in the same situations when people give up. I always saw him, you know, smiling. So those all experiences of our life made us trainers, not just me, my whole family, we have been studying through the school of hard knocks every day. So we thought that if we are able to Create something out of our life. After going through so many things, we can surely inspire people that they can also do that. So that was the major reason that, you know, I have learned a lot from my father, and I feel it's my responsibility to take it forward and make it reach to everyone.
Awesome. That's. That's awesome. Okay, so we know you have 5 million subscribers, which is insane. What are your strategies to keeping people engaged in your videos? I have seen videos where it says, After 55 seconds, put a hook so that the audience gets engaged. What are your strategies? Because even for me, a small YouTuber just starting out, it's very hard to get people to watch past three minutes. So.
Right. I feel it's all about attention span. We all understand that the attention span is reducing every day. So meet a hook. It's not necessarily that we need to have a hook. We need to follow one particular pattern. But yes, the sole purpose of any video should be that if I'm creating a value, it should reach people. I cannot be satisfied by saying that my video has value. That's not the pride moment. The pride moment is if it is reaching the right audiences. So for that, if you have to do anything and everything, you should do it. For example, in my initial videos, when I started, there was a video which was 40 minutes, and I played 28 characters at that time, and I was not having any team. I was a makeup artist of each character. I was the cameraman for each character. So I was a human tripod. Right to myself. So there were multiple things I did to ensure that I'm able to. The video was on confidence. So seven steps to confidence. So each step had different characters. Now I can say that, you know, if someone needs confidence, they should watch my video. But my core purpose was that even if someone is not much interested in watching this video, that person should also say, I need this confidence. This video is for me. So even if a person who's watching an entertainment video or a song should get hooked or should stick to motivation, I try to think this way, that anyone and everyone, even if a person who's not interested, should watch my video till end, then of course, you know, you aim high and you reach somewhere.
Right. Wow. Okay, my next question to you is, when you first start on YouTube, I think this is mainly a question that I would ask you personally. When you first start on YouTube and you want to get your videos to speculate, how do you do that? How do you attract viewers?
Right. So I think initially, for example, my initial few videos were not very successful. I would send this happens with everyone. There is a learning curve and there should be a learning curve. I believe that's the, you know, best part of any journey when you, when you try to understand and learn the industry. So initially I was trying to create two to three minutes videos assuming people don't have time. I assumed people won't be watching videos beyond three to four minutes and I was not succeeding. Later on I tried just as an experiment. We should keep experimenting. That is very important as an experiment. I created a 25 minute video. And after six months suddenly my channel started getting a lot of traction and I realized that no one was doing this experiment of creating a long video. Everyone was in an assumption that shorter videos would work well. People don't have time. But that video worked very well. I understood that, you know, I should go beyond 7, 8 minutes in my every video. And so life skills video started working well. But then there's for everyone, for every creator who's watching this should know it or hearing this should know it that there would be peaks and there would be troughs. When there are troughs, when you, when there's a down trend in your views, you have to understand what next is required. For example, I understood that life skills, yes, there is a audience which is limited at that time there was a limited audience to whom I was serving with my videos. So I was a human tripod, right to myself. So there were multiple things I did to ensure that I'm able to. The video was on confidence. So seven steps to confidence. So each step had different characters. Now I can say that, you know, if someone needs confidence, they should watch. But now I thought who else? Then I went into my comments. I read that many students are asking me study tips, you know, tips to perform better in exam video. But my core purpose was that even if someone is not much interested, I created a study tips video. That was the first video in India on study tips in Hindi, right? It was a complete blue ocean. No one ever thought of it. And that video went crazy. You know, a lot of students started falling. Suddenly another increase in subscribers were there. So that was the lesson which I would like to quote here that always try to end it in watching this video. That person should also say I need this confidence. I, I understand what next is required. One year back when covet thing happened, this, this video is for me. So even if a person who's watching an entertainment video or a song should get hooked or should stick to motivation, I. I try to think again. There is an opportunity in everything. So I thought what can be the opportunity for people in Covid was sitting at this way that anyone and everyone, even if a person who's not interested should watch my video tail end at home who are losing their jobs. So I thought I should tell them how they can earn from home. So last year I made series of videos how they can earn from home. And again the channel did very well. So looking at the environment, looking at the comments, looking at what is required, we should not stay fixed or set. Then of course, you know, you. You aim high and you reach somewhere generated at one style or one way of videos. It's very important. Like I believe, I mean, what I feel is every viewer is a customer, right? Is a customer because they are spending something which is very valuable, they're spending their time which is.
Right. Wow. Okay, my next question to you is when you first start on YouTube, I think this is mainly a question that I would ask you personally. When you first start on YouTube and you want to get your videos to speculate.
More valuable than money these days, right? So if someone is trading their time with you, it is our duty or responsibility to give back a lot of value. We should not think the videos are free. We should not think viewers are getting, you know, content for free. We should think they're paying us with the most important thing and we have to go back with much more value.
How do you do that? How do you attract viewers? Right. That's very true that they are actually giving us value.
So I think initially, for example, my initial few videos were not very successful. I would send. This happens with everyone. There is a learning curve and there should be a learning curve. I believe that's the, you know, best part of any journey when you, when you try to understand and learn that watching our videos. Right?
Yeah. So my second question is before you go out on stage and like inspire everyone industry.
So initially I was trying to create two to three minutes videos. Assuming people, what.
What do you do? Do you do something to kill off the nerves? If you have any nerves, you don't have time.
I assumed people won't be watching videos beyond three to four minutes and I was not succeeding. Later on I tried just as an experiment, we should keep experimenting. That is very important. As an experiment. I created a 25 minute video and.
Or if it was your first time and you were nervous about talking in front of people, how did you deal with that?
Right. Of course, in my initial events, in initial keynote speeches, I used to feel nervous. I used to, you know, after six months, suddenly my channel started, got started getting a lot of traction. And I. I would be very honest that anyone who starts something new, nervousness is natural. And that is the opportunity wherein, you know, many. And I realized that no one was doing this experiment of creating a long video. Everyone was in an assumption that shorter videos would work well. People don't have time. But that video worked very well. I understood that, you know, I should go beyond 7, 8 minutes in my every video. And so people stop and this is opportunity for you to fight with that. So anyone who's starting fresh, I would say first of all accept it that if you're doing anything which is new, there would be some challenges, some nervousness, some conflicts in the mind which will happen. But we should, you know, treat ourselves with, with respect at that time because this is only life skills video started working well. But then there's for everyone, for every creator who's happening with us. Because we are trying to do something which is not ordinary for us, which is watching this should know it or hearing this should know it, that there would be peaks and there would be troughs. When there are troughs, when you, when there's a down trend in your views, you have to understand what next is required. For example, I understood that life skills, yes, there is an audience which is extraordinary. We're trying to achieve something which not everyone is trying to do. It is leading us to somewhere which many people are going to miss just because of this nervousness, this fear. So we have to embrace the fear because most of the people stop there, right? So if you're doing something which is different, it has a cost to pay and the cost is a fear and nervousness. Quick tips can be of course the old school tip and it is always limited. At that time there was a limited audience to whom I was serving with my videos. Going to stay is the more you're prepared. There is no substitute to preparation. You can imagine your events in your eyes while getting up. You can rehearse. But now I thought, who else? Then I went into my comments. I read that many students are asking me study tips. You know, tips to perform better in exam. I created a study tips video that was the first video in India on study tips in Hindi with closed eyes. Imagine the audience. Try to think of all the places wherein you are feeling nervous. Practice more on those places. Staying hydrated helps a lot. It actually helps breathing exercises before you're. Before going to stage. They help a lot. So all these can be quick tips, right? But we cannot say that you know, you can be right. It was a complete blue ocean. No one ever thought of it. And that video went crazy. You know, a lot of students started calling. Suddenly another increase in subscribers or their worstness free or nervousness proof. It will be there and it should be there and it is. So that was the lesson which I would like to quote here that always try to end the part of journey. So don't hate yourself for that. Love yourself for this.
Yeah, exactly. I promote the message self love on my YouTube channel. So yes, love yourself for that.
What next is required? One year back when Covid thing happened.
Okay, my next question to you is how do you attract the right people in a short. Yeah, in a short amount of time or even over a long period of time. Personally for me, I'll say like I have an Instagram account. Like I was saying, My YouTube channel is about self love. Right. So my Instagram account is about self love. I'm trying to target teenagers who need this message because even I personally go through it where I again, there is.
An opportunity in everything. So I thought what can be the opportunity for people in Covid who are sitting at home, who are losing their jobs. So I thought I should tell them how they can earn from home.
So in a room with other teenagers and I'm like, oh, they're all staring at me. Oh, I should just not say anything. You know, they'll all judge me. But it all comes down to self love and self confidence. And the more you develop that, the more you don't care about what they think. And so my target audience are teenagers.
Last year I made series of videos how they can earn from home. And again the channel did very well. So looking at the environment, looking in the comments, looking at what is required, we should not stay fixed or set.
But I find a lot of the times I attract old men and women 50 years old who just follow me. Oh wow, young kid doing something. So how do you track the right people?
Is it hashtag one style or one way of videos? It's very important.
Like I believe tags in YouTube. What do you say?
Right. First of all, I'm very keen and I'm looking forward to see your channel because that's a great subject you're covering. It is much. I mean what I feel is every viewer is a customer, right? Is a customer because they are spending something which is very valuable. They're spending their time which is required. And self love can be that one treatment or medicine which can more valuable than money these days. Right. So if someone is trading their time your many mental diseases. So that's a great concept, great topic and a very noble thought. So much appreciation to you for that.
Thank you.
So coming to the answer optimization does play a role. Hashtags, thumbnails, titles, they are all important. But before that it comes it bought you. It is our duty or responsibility to give back a lot of boils down to one thing which is language of the target audience. If we are speaking the language of target audience, if we are a thumbnail see value, we should not think the videos are free. We should not think viewers are getting, you know, content for you when you are talking about self love. There is a possibility that since you research free, we should think they're paying us with the most important thing and we have to go back with much more value.
Right? That's very true that they are actually giving us value about it.
You, you think about it, you read about it. Probably you have achieved a mature curve than people at your age, than kids at your age or students at your age. So your language might not be the same because your, your interest is being turned into expertise watching our videos, right?
Yeah.
So my second, you've graduated to another level which many at your age have not. So you should think you should take your keep yourself in their shoes. That okay, who is not reading?
Question is, before you go out on stage and like inspire everyone in these.
Books, who is not thinking about these things, who's not reached that learning curve, what language they speak? They're not searching for self love probably right? They're searching for some other solution. They have some other problem. They don't know this is the solution. So try to think what are their words, their language? Put that in your thumbnail. That should be in your title. That should be the language you should be using. For example, when I go to what.
What do you do? Do you do something to kill off the nerves? If you have any nerves?
A college event, right? I don't give examples of offices or I don't talk about the job life though they are aspiring for a job life but I know what they're talking, right?
Or if it was your first time.
No, it's probably relationships. Probably some of them had a breakup yesterday. Probably some of them are very conscious about their looks. So all those problems which students are going through, you know, teachers, syllabus, all these things. But when I'm in a corporate event, then my whole all and you, you.
Were nervous about talking in front of people. How. How did you deal with that?
Right? Of course in My initial events, in my initial keynote speeches, I used to feel nervous. I used to, you know, example, switch the same topic attitude, the same topic commitment. But the examples are of a very corporate, you know, life. So I think talking your audience language is something which needs to be, which needs to play a vital role, especially when our thought process becomes different than our audience. Then we should go back. I would be very honest that anyone who starts something new, nervousness is natural. And that is the opportunity wherein, you know, many can research and try to read what they are writing, try to think what they're thinking. People stop and this is opportunity for you to fight with that. So anyone who's starting fresh, I would.
Okay, I'm writing that down. That's very helpful that I'm sure a lot of you watching also find that very valuable. Yeah. So my last question is for what is your so what?
First of all, accept it that if you're doing anything which is new, there would be some challenges.
What was your biggest challenge along the way of becoming one of India's top motivational speakers? And how did you face that challenge and how did you deal with it?
Sure. So one of the biggest challenge was the age I, I was like 23 or 20. With some nervousness, some conflicts in the mind which will happen. But we should, you know, treat ourselves with, with respect at that time because this is only happening with us because we are trying to do something which is not ordinary for us, which is core. And people who were consuming my content, like you mentioned, they, they were 30s, 40s and they accepting me as a motivational speaker. I knew that it is going to take a, you know, take, take a span, right. Especially when I used to go to events, right. So CEOs of the organization senior leadership team is sitting everyone. Extraordinary. We're trying to achieve something which not everyone is trying to do. It is leaders elder than me and they're feeling this young guy is going to tell us how to work, right? So that was the challenge which I knew I'll be able to deal it. I'll be very honest. Initially, in first year of my videos, there were so many hate comments, right. That bring us to somewhere which many people are going to miss just because of this nervousness, this fear. So we have to embrace the fear because most of the people stop there. How can you, how can someone so young teach us what do you know about life? You have not even spent half, right? So if you're doing something which is different, it has a cost to pay and the cost is a Fear and nervousness quick of a lifespan. Right. But I knew what kind of birth I can create. I knew my vision very clear and I knew that one day I'll be able to prove to each one of you that tips can be of course the old school tip. And it is always when you have an intent then everything falls in your way. So I had that intent of changing lives. I had that intent of inspiring people. So whatever cost, it's going to stay is the more you're prepared. There is no substitute to preparation wanted, reading, researching, talking, meeting, practicing what all it required. You can imagine your events in your eyes. You know, while getting up. You can rehearse with closed eyes. Imagine the audience. Try to think of all the places wherein you are feeling nervous. I knew that I can change your life and I stick to that. So that challenge was. Was throughout the journey for two to three years, especially in my events. But I think that determination that the purpose, the clarity of thought process where you're heading, that helps you a lot. Practice more on those places. Staying hydrated helps a lot. It actually helps breathing exercises before your before going to stage, they help a lot. So all. So I I can say that from hundreds of hate comments have reached to a percentage which is much lesser as compared to you know, which as compared to the norm which is there on digital. So very blessed that people hated me. They triggered me and now they love me. All these can be quick tips, right. But we cannot say that you know, you can be nervousness free or nervousness proof. It will be there and it should be there and it is.
Yeah, I know haters are your biggest fans in the end and on that note, how did you build that self confidence?
It's I think the part of journey. So don't hate yourself for that. Love yourself for this.
Yeah.
A lot of things are taught by life as I mentioned earlier that when you have a childhood where wherein you have seen the bottoms where you have seen the worst days of. Of life, you. You lose your fear of failing. You lose your fear of.
Exactly. I promote the message self love on my YouTube channel. So yes. Love yourself for that.
Losing. Right. So now for. For me today if I'm again at ground.
Okay. My next question to you is how do you attract the right people in a short. Yeah. In a short amount of time or even over a long period of time.
Zero. I don't fear that day. I'm not afraid of that day. That day does not, you know, make me sad that if it happens, what will happen. I know that we can personally, for.
Me, I'll say like I have an Instagram account. Like I was saying my you did it again.
Because I've seen the bottoms. I know the scratches. I tried one or two businesses which failed. Right. So I've resigned from my jobs at the peak of my career. So I know that, you know, I think it's for, for especially for youngsters, especially for teenagers. I would say we should expose ourselves.
To multiple risks channels about self love. Right. So my Instagram account is about self love. I'm trying to target teenagers who need this message because even I personally go through it where I'll be in a room with other teenagers and I'm like, oh, they're all staring at me. Oh, I should just not say anything.
We should expose ourselves to multiple failures. That builds your confidence. So whosoever is taking risk, a smaller risk would lead to a bigger risk and then much bigger risk.
You know, they'll all judge me. But it all comes down to self love and self confidence.
And the more you develop zone creates lot of confidence. So expose yourself to unknown territories. Expose yourself to, you know, if you are hesitant in talking to someone, try doing that if you're that the more.
You don't care about what they think. And so my target audience are teenagers.
Hesitant in taking a bigger risk. Try taking a smaller risk if you are hesitant.
But I find a lot of the times I attract old men and women 50 years old who just follow me. Oh wow, young kid doing something. So how do you track the right people?
Is it hashtag facing camera? Try making a video just for yourself, but at least create one video and keep it in your phone. So mini risk would lead to bigger risks.
That spoke to me when you said hesitant to speaking to people. I was like, oh yeah, for sure. Okay, so my question is what do you tags in YouTube? What do you say?
Right.
First of all, do when you feel unmotivated as one of the top.
I'm very keen and I'm looking forward to see your channel because that's a great subject you're covering.
It is much Speakers of India. Like a lot of people say, oh, I get up and I grind and you know, maybe that's what you say. But what do you do when you don't feel motivated towards your goal?
Do you take a required. And self love can be that one treatment or medicine which can cure many mental diseases. So that's a great concept, great topic break.
Do you keep going?
Right. First of all, I mean there is a perception that, you know, I Received this many a times from people that you're a motivational speaker, you must be motivated 24 by 7 you're a motivational speaker, you must be happy. You know, twink and a very noble thought. So much appreciation to you for that. 3, 4, 7 and I don't think there's any harm in accepting that I or I so coming to the answer optimization does play a role. Hashtags, thumbnails, titles, they are all important. But before that it comes it because I know a lot of speakers. We all have, you know, emotions. We all have eyes down to one thing which is language of the target audience. If we ups and downs and there are phases wherein we feel sad and it is absolutely normal human and it should be there. The motivation or training is not about being, you know, demotivation proof. It is not about being charged or speaking the language of target audience. If we are a thumbnail see all the time the inspiration of the training it helps you to control your emotions. So when you are talking about self love there is a possibility that since you research it, you you think about it, you read about it. Probably you have achieved a mature curve. It is not about I cannot feel bad. I cannot feel bad. It is about okay, I'm feeling bad how quickly I can fix myself, right? It is not about I can never cry. I can cry than people at your age, than kids at your age or students at your age. So your language. But I won't keep on crying complaining because I know how to deal with my mind. And you know, I can come back quickly. If we stop feeling bad, if we stop feeling demotivated might not be the same because your interest is being turned into expertise, right? If we stop feeling feeling sad, it means we are not humans anymore. We are robots, right? Emotions are the biggest blessing we all have got so we should feel them experience. So you have graduated to another level which many at your age have not. So you should think you should take your keep yourself in their shoes that okay, who is not reading them and learn to manage them. So when I feel demotivated, I try to I don't think these books who is not thinking about these things, who's not reached that learning curve, what language try to suppress myself. I try to understand what is making me feel bad or feel sad. I try to find the reason. I try to get back quickly. One of the biggest motivation for me when whenever I feel my lows is the response, the comments, the change as they speak. They're not searching for self love probably right? They're searching for some others I'm creating. So I always look at those remarks and those messages, those comments when I when I read from people that you know you're this video held solution they have some of the problem. They don't know this is the solution. So try to think what are their words, their language? Put that in your thumbnail. That should be in your title. That should be the language you should be using. For example, when I go to get a job this, this video helped me start a business. I hugged my wife after five years. After watching your video. Our relation is back when a student says a college event right. I don't give examples of offices or I was about to suicide but I dropped that plan and I'm going to work on the goals. I think this is the biggest blessing I have and that is something which, which I read before going off to bed and that is something which wakes me up every day that what difference I can create today. I don't talk about the job life though they are aspiring for a job life but I know what they're talking. Right.
Right. Wow, that's amazing. Yeah, the comments definitely do help.
Okay now is probably relationships. Probably some of them had a breakup yesterday. Probably some of them for anyone who's.
Starting a business starting in this niche.
What very conscious about their looks. So all those problems which students are going through, you know, teachers syllabus, all these things. But when I'm in a corporate event then my whole all are ways that.
They can put out their content. They can promote their content without having to spend too much. Because a lot of the times it's people my age who want to become they want to put out their message right. But they don't have too much money in the bank to spend Example switch.
The same topic attitude, the same topic commitment. But the examples are of a very corporate, you know, life. So I think talking your so what.
Are options Facebook ads I know cost a little bit. What are options you would suggest that best promote right.
See if there are many examples wherein ads are used to promote a channel. There are equal examples which are purely organic audience language is something which needs to be which needs to play a vital role. Especially when our thought process becomes different than our audience then we should go back. If there are examples which have used huge production cost to build to make the videos. There are equal examples who are shooting videos from their mobile phone and videos are I can research and try to read what they are writing, try to think what they're thinking.
Okay, I'm writing that Down. That's very helpful that I'm sure a lot of you watching also going viral.
So if instead of finding reasons that what why I can't work towards it because of the paid mediums, you should always try to think how I can ideate or I can create that consistency or I can create that virality that.
Will find that very valuable. Yeah. So my last question is for what is your so what?
Without resources or without spends my videos are able to reach people. That is where there cannot be a rule of thumb that this one formula has to be used. It is more about trying to find those territories wherein people are not there but the need is there and there will always be some territories. Right. So if I'm talking about something which everyone is talking I'll need to have a differentiator.
What is your biggest. What was your biggest challenge along the way?
Or I can talk about something which everyone is not talking but want to talk about they don't really have.
Becoming one of India's top motivational speakers. And how did you face that challenge and how did you deal with it?
Sure. So what is it? So either I have to find a place wherein people have not entered and if I want to enter into an existing market I need to have a differentiator which can make me the biggest challenge was the age I I was like 23 or 20. Different. Right. It can be a combination. For example, recently one of one of a singer who wanted to make a career in singing approached me and I told him that there's so many store and people who were consuming my content. Like you mentioned, they were social issues. No one is talking about them in the form of music. Why not start it? And that person is getting a good response. One of the person who was interested in, you know, home, 30s, 40s and they accepting me as a motivational speaker. I knew that echo. I asked that person to be very specific into office themes. Right. It is going to take a. You know, take. Take a span. Right. Especially when I used to go to event how you can design your office because many very less people were talking about it. So I've given you both. Right. So CEOs of the organization senior leadership team is sitting everyone examples. One is of ideating and one is of getting into a zone which no one was talking about.
Right. And you mentioned going viral. How do you create a viral piece of content? How. What have been your most successful videos and how have you formulated that.
When we say virality or we talk is, you know, elder than me and they're feeling this young guy is going to tell us how to work, right? So that was the challenge which I knew I'll be able to deal it. I'll be very honest about viral videos. Many people have this assumption that there is see there is a initial in first year of my videos. There were so many hate comments, right? That how can you. How can someone so young teach us what do you know about life? You have not even spent half formula to go viral, right? I won't say there is no formula to go viral. There are formulas to go viral but that formula won't work on 10 out of 10 videos. But that formula does work on one or two out of 10 videos. For that you need to create 10 videos, right? So not every video of mine reaches million views. So I can of a lifespan, right? But I knew what kind of birth I can create. I knew say that I can't say that I have a formula for million views but I apply Same formula on 10 videos. 2 out of 10 videos reach million views. Same can happen for a new creator. That person might not be targeting million views overnight but maybe if their vision very clear. And I knew that one day I'll be able to prove to each one of you that when you have an intent then everything falls in your way. So I had that intent. There's an average say 500 views per video. Try to understand how I can increase it, how I can reach 5000 views, decode it, revolve changing lives. I had that intent of inspiring people. So whatever, whatever cost it first planet what can what can be those elements. And not every video is going to reach 5k views. But that's where you know consistency comes into picture that trying to understand why I wanted reading, researching, talking, meeting, practicing what all it required is for example the video is triggering someone the video is making giving huge value that people are able to stick till end or there is a huge emotional trigger which is leading to the shareability. All those, you know, four to five principles of virality would exist, but not I knew that I can change your life and I stick to that. So that challenge was every video would go viral. You have to use those formulas every time to let your to make it to ensure was throughout the journey for two to three years especially in my events. But I think that determination that the purpose the clarity of thought process where you're heading that helps you a lot so that one of your video goes viral, Right?
Right. Very true. And on that last question that we have for you today is we use the term Internet moguls as a way of saying we're saying that Internet moguls of the world, that is a project that we are doing right now.
So I can say that from hundreds of hate comments have reached to a percentage which is much lesser as compared to. As compared to the norm which is there on digital. So very blessed that people hated me, they triggered me and now they love me.
Term Internet moguls is someone who is able to spend time with their family, develop a good connection with their family, but it's also able to leverage the Internet and use the Internet in a way where they can grow their company, grow their own personal service. What is your definition of an Internet mogul? Yeah, I know haters are your biggest fans in the end. And on that note, how did you build that self confidence?
I think looking at the trends, looking at the future, looking at the opportunity we are in right now, these days, I would say that everyone has to identify themselves with being an Internet mogul because it is a soul, it is like a pulse of our life these days. A lot of things are taught by life, as I mentioned earlier, that when you have a childhood wherein you have seen the bottoms, you have seen the worst days of life, you lose your fear of failing, you lose your fear of. So we get digital or Internet. This is something which we cannot imagine our life without. So recently I, me and my wife, we were looking for a pet. Where did we search? We searched on Internet, searched on YouTube. Then we wanted a vet vet for our pet, right? Where did we go? We went to some of the websites which review doctors. Then we wanted to understand how to train the puppy losing, right? So now for, for me today, if I'm again at ground zero, I don't fear that day. I'm not afraid of that day. That day does not. You know. We went on YouTube and watched some videos of an influencer. He recommended some products. We went to Amazon to buy those products. So intentionally, unintentionally, everyone is part of this zone. Everyone can identify themselves with this identity of being an Internet mogul. Anyone? I would say career wise, business wise. Even if make me sad that if it happens, what will happen? I know that we can build it again because I've seen the bottoms, I know the scratches. I tried one or two businesses. Which person is doing a job, that person also has that either is playing some role in this ecosystem. So I would say it's a universe in one word, right? So I've resigned from my jobs at the peak of my career.
So I know wow, that is a very unique answer that we've, that we've gotten, but an awesome one. Okay, dad is here.
So that, you know, I think it's for, for especially for youngsters, especially for teenagers, I would say we should expose ourselves to multiple risks.
So let me get him in one second.
Sure. We should expose ourselves to multiple failures. That builds your confidence. So whosoever is taking risk, a smaller risk would lead to a bigger risk and then much bigger risk. That zone creates lot of confidence. So expose yourself to unknown territories. Expose yourself to G. Okay, guys, say thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much. My pleasure. My pleasure was so good interacting with you and you, you both are so inspiring. You know, looking at your age, the kind of work you are doing. So long way to go and my best wishes, lots of love and tons of blessings to both of you. You know, if you are hesitant in talking to someone, try doing that. If you're hesitant in taking a bigger risk, try taking a smaller risk. If you are hesitant facing camera, try making a video just for yourself. But at least create one video and keep it in your phone.
Thank you so much. Can we get a quick picture?
Sure.
Okay.
Zoom selfie.
Zoom selfie. Okay. Three, two, one. Thank you.
Let me also take one. Let's have a memory. Okay, here we go. So mini risk would lead to bigger risks.
That spoke to me when you said hesitant speaking to people. I was like, oh yeah, for sure.
Thank you.
Thank you so much. It really means a lot. Okay, so my question is, what do.
You welcome all the best, best officials.
Okay.
Do when you feel unmotivated as one of the top.
Internet.
Speakers of India, like a lot of people say, oh, I get up and I grind and you know, maybe that's what.
Number one.
Number two you say.
But what do you do when you don't feel motivated towards your goal? Do you take a.
Million.
Break? Do you keep going?
Right. First of all, I mean there is a perception that, you know, I received this many a times from people that you're a motivational speaker.
Equipment, gadget or.
You must be motivated 24 by 7. You're a motivational speaker, you must be happy, you know, and I don't think there's any harm in accepting that I. Or segmentation, right. Or as a human mind, because I know a lot of speakers. We all have, you know, emotions, we all have our own. We're always trying to find reasons, production ups and downs. And there are phases wherein we feel sad and it is absolutely normal. Family background, name, you know, confidence but 5% for human and it should be there the motivation or training is not about percent population being, you know, demotivation proof it is not about being charged 1,000,000 subscribers confidence all the time the inspiration of the training it helps you to control your emotions so you don't right? So Sachin could have said cricket, right? Right. Because 80s it is not about I cannot feel bad I cannot feel bad it is about okay, I'm feeling bad how quick Sochara or tall kind of response but he did not think he thought it needed quickly I can fix myself, right? It is not about I can never cry I can cry much more discipline it did much more practice he did it so every success is the same, you know. But I won't keep on crying complaining because I know how to deal with my mind and you know I can come back quickly if we stop feeling bad if we stop feeling demotivated backtracking find reasons if we stop feeling feeling sad it means we are not humans anymore we are robots.
Right?
Right. And second right Emotions are the biggest blessing we all have got so we should feel them experience segment I think day one it's too huge amounted to climb mini hills we can climb those mini hills and then move towards them and learn to manage them so when I feel demotivated I try to. I don't try to suppress myself I try to understand what is making me feel bad or feel sad Some bigger mountains and bigger mountains similarly day one for 5 million goal honest is other important day one pay is comfortable experience so celebrating those 1000 subscribers or 100 subscribers I try to find the reason I try to get back quickly One of the biggest motivation for labor is equally important because it is not about reaching a certain number when whenever I feel my lows is the response the comments the the change I would say a 5 million right? So I can also feel bad every day even after reaching 5 million subscribers so numbers I'm creating so I always look at those remarks and those messages it's good for, you know, interpretation it's good for your analysis but the real output is what you're doing daily Especially like you also promote this concept a lot and those comments when I When I read from people that you know, you're this video helped me Many people have learned from you it's not about reaching a bigger number it is about creating your niche it is about being active in what you want what you want to do not every get a job this this video helped me start a business I hugged my Anyone can become A pudai PI or everyone should become a carry minati. But profession career industry wife. After five years after watching your video, our relation is back when a student says I was about to suicide but I. I dropped that plan and I'm going to work on the goals. I think you know, the number becomes a smaller thing. The purpose, the. The business, the goals, the journey that becomes a bigger thing or very focus on Ajay.
Amazing.
This is the biggest blessing I have. And that is something which. Which I read.
Different. Different aspects before going off to bed.
And that is something which wakes me up every day at what difference I can create today. Indeed her professional even, right?
Wow, that's amazing. Yeah, the comments definitely do help. Okay, so for anyone who's starting a business starting in this niche what her.
Career oriented person, her profession seeking person, other professional YouTube channel or social media handles. It's not just YouTube channel channel but yes along with other social media handles video presence create are ways that they.
Can put out their content. They can promote their content without having to.
Because see, this is the closest replacement of a human spend too much.
Because a lot of the times it's people my age who want to become. They want to put out their message. Right. But they don't have too much money in the bank to spend experience.
Right? We all experienced this in Covid live events.
So what are options? Facebook ads I know cost a little bit. What are options?
Because that was closest would suggest at best promote. Right? See if there are many examples wherein ads are used to promote a channel. There are equal examples which are purely organic. If there are examples which have used huge production costs to build the to make the video text was not closest. PDF was not closest. So closest experience there your scalable cost Hazara logo messages. So every professional who is not making videos there are equal examples who are shooting videos from their mobile phone and videos are going viral. So if instead of finding reasons that what why I can't work towards it because of the paid mediums, we should always try to think how I can ideate or I can create that consistency or I can create that virality that without resources or without spending my videos are able to reach people. That is where there cannot be a rule of thumb that this one formula has to be used. It is more about trying to find those territories wherein people are not there but the need is there and there will always be some territories, right? So if I'm talking about something which everyone is talking I'll need to have a differentiator or I can talk about Something which everyone is not talking but want to talk about. They don't really. Videos is missing on a big, very big revolution. It is lies it. So either I have to find a place wherein people are have not entered like we. I. I always say this. Electricity, right? Right. Because there was so much in comfort zone with the Koila and everything. Electricity was a revolution. And if I want to enter into an existing market, I need to have a differentiator which can make me different. Right? It can be a combination. For example, recently one of one of a singer who wanted to make a career in singing approached me and I told him that there's so many social issues. No one is talking about them in the form of music. Why not start it? And that person is getting a good response. One of the person who was interested in, you know, home Decker. I asked that person to be very specific into office themes, right? How you can design your office. Because very less people were talking about it. So I've given you both Joby, industry, factory part Nahi Bani examples. One is of ideating and one is of getting into a zone which no one was talking about. I mean, you cannot imagine a second without electricity, Right? Right. Similarly this.
Right. And you mentioned going viral.
How do you video revolution or digital revolution? Is there many people were waiting to.
Create a viral piece of content. How what have been your most successful videos?
They missed many opportunities. Because how have you formulated that? When we say virality or we talk about viral videos, many people have this assumption that there is. See, there is a formula to go viral, right? I won't say there is no formula to go viral. There are formulas to go viral. But that formula won't work on 10 out of 10 videos. But that formula does work on one or two out of 10 videos. For that you need to create 10 videos, right? So not every video of mine reaches million views. So I can. And some people are missing on that opportunity future. It is just like electricity. If you're not part of it, you don't exist. Excellent. Excellent. I can't say that I have a formula for million views. But I apply Same formula on 10 videos. 2 out of 10 videos reach million views. Same can happen for a new that creator. That person might not be targeting million views overnight. But maybe if there are, there's an average say 500 views per video. Try to understand how I can increase it. How I can reach 5,000 views. Decode it, Reverse planet. What can. What can be those elements. And not every video is going to reach 5k views. But that's where, you know, consistency comes into picture that trying to understand virality is for example, the video is triggering someone, the video is making, giving huge value that people are oh, genuinely haters.
But.
Able to stick till end or there is a huge emotional trigger which is leading to the shareability. All those, you know, four to five principles of virality would exist but not every video would go viral. You have to use those formulas every time to let your, to make, to.
Ensure genuinely, I mean.
One of your video goes viral.
Right, right, very true. And on that last question that we have for you today is we use the term Internet moguls as a way of saying. We're saying that Internet moguls, the world, that is a project that we are doing right now. And our term Internet moguls is someone who is able to spend time with their family, develop good connection with their family, but it's also able to leverage the Internet and use the Internet in a way where they can grow their company, grow their own personal service.
We are all normal human beings.
What is your definition of an Internet mogul?
Of course, I think looking at the trends, looking at the future, looking at the opportunity we are in right now, these days I would say that everyone has to identify themselves with being an Internet mogul because it is, it is a soul. It is like a pulse of our life these days, right? So we get digital or Internet. This is something which we cannot imagine our life without. So recently I, me and my wife, we were looking for a pet. Where did we search? We searched on it like I'm not, I won't call myself a celeb. The net searched on YouTube. Then we wanted a vet for our pet, right? Where did we go? We went to some of the websites which review doctors. Then we wanted to understand how to train the puppy or I'm not a superstar, but her cheese. Normal selfies, everything becomes normal. That is, we went on YouTube and watched some videos of an influencer. He recommended some products. We went to Amazon to buy those products. So intentionally, unintentionally, everyone is part of this zone. Everyone can identify themselves with this identity of being an Internet mogul. Anyone? I would say career wise, business wise, even if a person is doing a job, that person also has that either is playing some role in this ecosystem. So I would say it's a universe in one word, right?
Wow, that is a very unique answer that we've, that we've gotten, but an awesome one. Okay, dad is here.
So the pr, the love you always seek that you know, you Feel like going out? You feel like meeting people?
Let me get him in one second.
Sure. Audience and there was no security control. So everyone wanted a selfie, right?
Okay guys, say thank you.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much. My pleasure. My pleasure was so good interacting with you and you. You both are so inspiring. You know, looking at your age, the kind of work you are doing. So long way to go and my best wishes, lots of love and tons of blessings to both of you. I missed my flight midnight. But honestly it was not tiring. It was such a. You cannot get or special.
Thank you so much. Can we get a quick picture?
Sure.
Picture. Okay.
Zoom selfie.
Zoom selfie. Okay. Three, two, one.
Thank you. Our existence is because of people, right? Hamari exists.
Thank you.
Let me also take one. Let's have a memory. Okay. Here we go. Thank you.
Thank you so much. This really means a lot.
Welcome. All the best.
Okay. Logo Internet may inspire. Hotel studio, hair equipment. Hair lights, hair script.
So I feel it is such a great feeling and all thanks to this digital era.
Number one, Number two punch million equipment gadget or Sabko Chapka de Kati family.
We are living a life which they are able to share with them and they are a part of it. Right? Or as a human mind, we're always trying to find reasons. Production, family background, you know, confidence. Right? This is such a. Such a beautiful part of this ecosystem. But 5%, 4% population, 1 million subscribers. Confidence. If I have to choose between a huge pile of money which can fulfill all my needs for next hundred years. Right? So Sachin could have said. Right? Right. Because 80s cricket Socrates kind of response. But he did not think. He thought it needed much more discipline. It needed much more practice. He did it. So every success is the same, you know, backtracking find reasons, never leave it.
I'm sure.
Saktame this is my addiction.
Amazing.
Production Social media calendar.
So Himesh Madanka social media calendar.
Kesega Rose Rose planning you'll again find a reason. Right? Right. And second segment. I think day one it's too huge amounted to climb mini hills. We can climb those mini hills and then move towards some bigger mountains. And bigger mountains. Similarly day one pay 5 million goal honest is other important. Day one pay is comfortable. So Mera Hindish Madhan social media calendar. YouTube calendar. Right. So social media pay it is more of enjoy. So celebrating those 1,000 subscribers or 100 subscribers is equally important. Because it is not about reaching a certain number but because my primary platform concept. Because I want to bring My real life at every other place YouTube paid I would say a 5 million, right? So I can also feel bad every day even after reaching 5 million subscribers. So number johavo. It's good for, you know, interpretation, it's good for your analysis. But the real output is what you're doing daily. Especially like you also promote this concept a lot and many people have learned from you. It's not about reaching a bigger number. It is about creating your niche. It is about being active in what you want, what you want to do. Not every can be structured because you know there are multiple people waiting for videos in different. Anyone can become a pudai pie or everyone should become a carry minati but profession categories so that I can respect people's time. So career up industry. Maybe when it comes to shoot as a fixed pattern, it actually changes, you know, the number becomes a smaller thing. The purpose, the. The business, the goals, the journey. That becomes a bigger thing. Or why focus on Ajay?
Amazing. Different. Different aspects.
As per the topics or as per the travel. I used to shoot.
My T shirt based.
Videos. Four videos in a day. And for next seven, eight days. I did not used to shoot indeed her her professional, even her career oriented person, her profession seeking person, other professional thing. Now I have that Liberty YouTube channel or social media handles. It's not just YouTube channel channel but yes, along with other social media handles video presence create minimal hair. So now I prefer shooting a video in a day. Then create some micro content. Because see, this is the closest replacement of a human. Some short content. And I spend a lot of time in reading and researching. So experience, right? We all experience this in Covid. Covid closes video calls them live events. Because that was closest. Text was not closest. PDF was not closest. These days. These days I'm shooting average one video in a day. Not clearance, dairy or scalable travel. Three to four videos and twice or thrice in a week. Apart from that there are some live events, some training programs, two to three days. But yes, I shoot daily, that is for sure. Every day my morning is more of reading. I spend time with myself and then I create content, video content and evenings are for business. Then 4pm After 4pm it's all about reviews, meetings and looking at different aspects of business.
Lovely, lovely. That will be a solid.
Thank you very much.
And for guys, all of you people started his journey social media calendar determination or so that is why he is where he is. So I hope you all enjoyed this or upload 10 points.
