How to Shoot Up Your ROI with Blogging

I have always been lucky on Tuesdays. Something great happens on Tuesdays. I have a thing that Monday. I keep the hardest working day and I get all my meetings done Tuesday. I keep it a little light but I'm always looking for some magic to create every week for myself. Which is what I'm very excited about. What I'm very excited about this Tuesday is meeting my very good friend and blogger and most of the people on this show who are watching this, my audience who are people from India and many parts of the world, startup, mid sized companies and large corporations are already following him. So is it his show? Is it my show? I don't know. I will let him introduce himself and very humble 27 year old person whose blog is reaching new heights every time. And he's saying I'm doing it because I love doing it and not for the money. But he's also making money. And one thing he's frustrated about is that he is ready to teach people for free or as low as 50 to $100 per person and ready to help them make 2, 3, 4 lakh of rupees. But people are not ready to invest. I have already studied the personality, I've been following the personality and I urge all of you to reach out to him, reach out to his programs and you see the ROI you get. Every entrepreneur is there for roi. If you invest in this kind of a brand, you're going to do well. That is my introduction and now I'll start talking to him, Sam, talking to him. When are you tell me how cool is this? What is this?

This tattoo is, is Optimus prime right now. So I'm a great friend of Transformers. So I have two tattoos. One is on the arm and one is is at the back. So I love Optimus prime and Transformers is in my blood. I don't know why I love them. So I met make this tattoo around two, three years back and I love this tattoo every day.

And I just want to have Transformers on the body also on the front end. And I love, I just want to have Optimus Prime. So I'm a great fan of Optimus prime right now.

The work is going cool right now. So I'm a blogger right now and affiliate marketer right now. My main area of expertise is blogging, digital marketing and currently I'm working on my product that is Schema Nindra right now and I launched that product and I'm just willing to expand this product right now to just have more features which no WordPress plugin is offering in the market. So this plugin can help the bloggers and affiliates to make money online through their blogs. Right.

Now tell me, you know I'm a storyteller, right? What's your story? Who are you? What was the passion that was driving you? Which were the family members who pushed you? Which was the girlfriend who left you.

Story just like that. I'm a small guy from Jakku right now from Jaipur, Rajasthan and I started.

My first job as Jaipur Karan Jodhpur.

Yes, Jaipur right now. Yeah. So I started my first job from Jaipur working in a small startup as hundred dollar per month. Only $100 per month because I was engineers. So I was really frustrated. I'm getting this much amount of salary because I'm an engineer. I haven't bted but the salary I got it, it was very low. I was very depressed. But I said okay, let's start working this. So I started my first job in SEO and search engine optimization and from that I got a huge interest. So search engine optimization drives me a huge interest that okay, I want to build my the career in this domain, SEO Search engine optimization from that by doing a job for one year. I left my hometown Jaipur because the main problem was Jaipur.

You were doing SEO?

Yeah. So my first job in Jaipur because my family was pressurizing. My dad was against that. What you are doing, you are doing a job in SEO. It don't have any future because everyone my, my sister, everyone that Jeetu, what you are doing in your life, you are just playing with your life by doing a job in digital marketing. It don't have any future. Just go for coding. I hate coding. Trust me guys, I hate fucking coding and I don't like coding because I was too dumb at it because that was not my interest area. So many of the youth I have seen that they are doing engineering or they are doing this kind of doctor degree and all the stuff and they are not, they are not having any interest. So interest is very important. Whatever you you want to do in your life, interest is very important.

So you just left your home because.

Pressure Bhaad ja da tha. And there was so, so much pressure on my head that all the time. Okay, you are making so, so less money prior. Work hard. Work hard. I was working very hard. I was working very hard on my job. I was learning all the stuff about SEO and blogging, link building and digital marketing. But I had to leave my home hometown Jaipur. And then my second job was in Pune So Pune. So my life was just like a loner because I didn't find any good friends. Anyone who just think like me or anyone who is expert in SEO digital marketing. I cannot find any good friends there in Pune. So I was total loner there. So I started my first blog there while I was doing a second job in Pune. So my salary was around 200 to $250 only. But still somehow I was surviving. So I started my, this, this blog, first blog that is bloggers ideas.com this is the first official blog I started and from that I researched about Google because I was doing SEO any building so I was good at all this stuff. So I researched on Google Ad, how to make money online through blogs because in and in that company I was handling their blog. So I found okay, this is a WordPress blog. Man, what is this? So I Google about that. Okay, this is a WordPress blog, how to install WordPress blog. So I, I use Google as my friend and I learned so many things about blogging. So I found that some of some of the bloggers from India, around the world, John Chow, Neil Patel, they are making money through their blogs, right? I was aware, man, I was shocked that oh man, how they are making money through their blogs. It was, is it really possible to make money through blogs? Because I was reading some there's Internet scams and all this stuff but I was really skeptical at that time. But I okay, so let's start this blogging and something good will happen.

Sure.

So I started this first blog blogger shadeas.com and I was really inspired because I was learning some new things. So that was driving me more crazy to this digital marketing field. So first blog was going good so I was doing some experiments and while doing this blog I hired a one content writer. So, so I used to pay her salary. So my salary was only $250. And still from that I was paying a salary to my employer. So you can think that I'm living outside, I'm paying my bills, my Internet and all the stuff because I don't use to drink, smoke, I don't smoke. So my expenses were very less but I was investing my money in the right direction. So that is very important. So I was, I hired a writer there and through her she was very amazed that I'm working very hard on my blog. So she saw, okay Jiten, I will work for you, I will write a content for you. So I hired Sonam.

How much do you do one blog a day?

There's no rule because I was doing blogging alternate days and I used to learn various stuff. I used to experiment on my blog. Okay, this is the keyword I have to rank right now. So I was playing with my blog because this was my first official blog. So I was playing a lot on this blog right now. So through playing with my blog I learned so many things in digital marketing. Okay. People can make money online. So after four, five months I was making only $50 through some sponsored reviews. So after six months after doing blogging I got a one big deal. That is $650. It paid me $650 for a sponsored reviews. I was shocked. Okay, $650 just came to my papa. So I was shocked. So I told my parents, papa, I just got this. Did you committed some kind of crime? I said no, no, no, I earned through free freelancing. And papa, this is my blog. I'm doing this blogging. And he was shocked. Okay. He said okay jobi Karai, do good, work hard on your job, don't leave your job, job security. So that was, that was the kind of the mindset my family was having right now. So second job, I was bored. Now I was looking for some change in my life. So so I just came to Delhi and that was my last job. So I was doing a job in e commerce startup and after six months I realized that blog is going good right now. It was giving me more income than my job and I had some kind of backup. 3,4 lakhs were in my account and now I had a backup. Now I can leave the job. Because whenever you are just starting out your entrepreneurship journey, have a backup plan.

Sure.

Because you might fail, you might success, you might get successful but have a backup plan.

That's what Karan we said that everybody should have a entrepreneurship is glorified, is great and all of that. But if you fail, you don't want to fail that badly that you can't do anything else. So I think this is a great deal.

So have a backup plan. So I started my entrepreneurship journey in Delhi because Delhi was the best place where I have found great entrepreneurs. I learned from 16, 17 years old. Okay, this guy is speaking in front of me, why I cannot speak. So I was really inspired because I was attending events in my city, Delhi. So I learned that okay, this guy is doing it, this guy is running his own business, he's just working hard. So one of my friend inspired me. Okay Jeetu, this is the right time to leave your job, start focusing on full time blogging. But I was really scared because I was getting the fixed pay of 30,000, but who will pay me that? So I decided to take a risk. And after taking a risk in my life, I decided to do a full time blogging. After doing a full time blogging after three, four months and I got a deal from Payoneer. So Payoneer is an alternative to PayPal right now. It's an online payment system and it is an Israeli based company and it's a very big startup right now. So they hired me as a brand ambassador in India with one of my friends. So we both were brand ambassador in India. So we did a lot of shows just like arranging some blogging event, digital marketing events and Payne was very happy. Okay, Jeeting, you're doing a good job. We did a show in Delhi also and where we got around 500 plus audience. Wow, that's huge. So we, we got it. Why? Peony hired me because I learned social media branding. So after leaving my job, I built my social media profiles very strong. My Twitter, my LinkedIn, my Facebook were very strong because I was following some influencers like Gary Vaynerchuk, Louis or. So I was thinking, okay, these guys are maintaining their profiles just like that. So I followed them and I made my social media profiles and my blog very strong. So it should create that kind of impression if someone lands on the blog or someone lands on a social media profile.

So basically what you're saying is relating back to what we were discussing before the camera went on.

Yeah.

You're ready to teach, but our people are not ready to research, you know, ready to invest.

Yes.

So, you know, the other day I was, I was talking to somebody and they said that, you know, 60 years back when there was no Internet, maybe no fax, all of that, the world had just about, maybe 2, 3, 4 billion people. And 1% people were successful because information exchange, yes. Today there is so much information exchange. Internet gets things done right away. You can research, you can become whatever you want. And there are 8 billion people. Guess how many people are successful even now? Only 1%.

Yes.

Because it's that 1% that makes a choice to say, I'm going to work, I'm going to do something, I'm going to do something. So percentage. So like you're saying that, you know.

Those people who don't take action, take actions. So no actions is equal to no financial freedom in your life. That's my go. So you can say this. No actions is no, no happiness in your life.

Right. But tell us a few tips, WordPress blog, start Korea and all of that. Anybody who doesn't know how to do the basics, you can go to a website, we're going to link it here. But somebody who does the basics and not in my blog, what are the few tips?

The basic tips would be that follow the experts in your niche. So when I just started my own blogging journey I followed some expert and I was spying on my competitors. So how they're getting sponsored reviews, what kind of ads they are running on the sidebar, what kind of stuff they are doing. So I spy a lot on my competitors. So if you want to get success and if you want to learn something from them, so just spy on their other different niche blog. If you are working in health niche blog. Okay, so if you want just see that who are the top 10 health bloggers and what kind of stuff they are doing, what kind of branding they are doing. Just try to follow already expert niche and you will see that okay, this guy is doing things so I can do this also. So I learned from the experts and I just implemented that stuff on my own blog.

It depends. It depends on your interest. So my interest is blogging right now and I am also doing video marketing right now. I'm going to meet some startup. Recently I met Bittifi team so I shoot their video the office to video. So I am learning this video because video vlog is also right now rising and it creates a great impact on your brand right now. So video. If you have an interest in video, so do it. If you have a interest in making some photos, so do it. Your interest matters a lot here. If you don't have any interest and if you are making good amount of money with it but interest matters a lot so this will give you a satisfaction and you will work more harder.

What do you, what what do you do apart from blogging?

Apart from blogging. So my interest right now I'm Fully devoted to my blogging and I'm working on my own product. So I told you so my product is Schema Ninja. I'm working very hard hard on it to just to have. Because I want to reach more audience right now. So through my product I just want to reach more my target audience who wants to make money online through my products. So that is my plan right now. I'm working on it and I'm willing to. I'm just helping out some entrepreneurs to start their own business, working with some of the startups also and starting my own training workshops for the guys who just want to learn how to do blogging and how to live an entrepreneur life.

So do you see see Internet view? I'm sure you do a lot of research.

You read a lot of books you and I like, you know you are a fan of Gary. I'm a fan of Gary, you know, Louis House, all of that. But what, what do you find is happening in the west that's not happening here?

The people are not ready to invest. So that is the problem here right now. I'm seeing that if you don't invest then you cannot earn anything. So you have to invest in the right direction. So people should invest here right now. So this is the problem. I'm. I'm seeing here right now that people are not ready to invest. They just want things for free. So it's very difficult. So you need to invest here. Like if you want to invest then only you can earn the ROI right now. So investing is a problem here.

You do something for how important you think health is as you're growing your career in your brand.

Health is very important because guys, I've seen many of the. The millionaires out here right now in my own city. They are. They are earning good money but their health is spoiled because they are overrated or they. They don't have to work more right now. So your health is very important. So when you are making money all in just try to take care of your health. Go to gym, go for walk.

So I met because meeting new people is the passion right now. Because I see that if I meet new people I will get some new ideas from there. So meeting the right people will give you some boost and inspiration. And I always try to meet people who gives me some positive energy. Avoid meeting you. The losers in your life don't meet losers. And I avoid these kind of people who just try to give me something negative vibes. I avoid avoid these kind of people because this will impact your social life and you will not be able to grow because your social circle helps you to build your entrepreneurship career. Because if you have a bad social media circle than your whole life your entrepreneurship career may get impacted and you will not think positive. So if you surround yourself with positive people then I'm sure that your growth will be huge. For sure.

I'm going to be 40 this year.

I just learned from the expert. I told you, I just follow the expert in my niche. Gary Lewis. I learned from them. So guys, if you're stuck here right now, so just try to follow the experts in your niche. So this will help you to learn, grow and meet only those people who are inspiring and who gives you positive energy. Don't listen to losers if they say that you cannot do it. Because once when I was launching my own product, Schema Ninja so people were stopping, okay, don't launch this product. This product will not work and you are going in the very competitive market. I said I will do it. I Will do it any cost. And I did it and it was a very good launch and I learned so many things. Right now I am planning for the second launch version right now. So adding more features to my products. So don't listen to people. Just listen to your heart and. And you will get success at any cost. If you don't listen to your. To the losers in your life. They are happy. So my dad is saying okay. He's making good money and he's saying okay. So yes, dad is happy. So I can. I just, I. I just want to share that. So my, I lied to my family. I had to lie because I know.

Yeah. So my family would not understand my dream because I know because everyone is. So my family thinking is doing a job security. Job security.

On the other hand, because my father is a bank employee and he works very hard. So I see that. Okay, dad, you're working so hard but still you're getting very less. Why? So I decided that but I want a good income out of it because I'm working very hard. I'm working 16, 18 hours a day. I want something best out of it. So I decided okay, so let's take a risk. I lied to my family for one and a half years. But my father came to know. Okay, Jeetu, you are going to Bangkok, you are going to Hong Kong, you are going to Macau. How you doing this? This is not from your job. Because job with job I cannot go to these places, man. Because my blogging through blogging I was able to go all these international places. So whatever you're doing, so work hard. And he said he was very happy because. Because all the money if I'm earning this much amount of income in my month. So I'm just giving all money to my parents because I don't keep all the money to myself. Because I think that because I have bad habits of spending on useless things something that I want to buy this expensive wall. So I do this. So I just give all my money to my parents right now. So Avi, so I just want to know more about your story that how did you get started in this journey?

Yeah, my story was very, very simple. It happened on its own.

On its own.

So I was 21 years old and I was only. There was only one passion that I had in life was to race street cars. And in India it's still not a sport. So obviously it was dangerous. So one day my dad called me to my earlier Zoo. And he said, you got two options. A very simple 30 second conversation. Either you join my family business from next day or get out of the house. So your dad gave you ultimatum.

The, the warning there, you know, and.

I was making good money. Street car racing and all of that. We have, you know, making decent money. And I said okay, fine. I asked my mother, I said, I said I should leave, you know. And the mom is like, where will you go? You know, don't be scary, go to office. So I reached office. I used to get up at 12, I had to get up at 8 for the first time in my life to go to office. So I went to office. My dad had a small, small guest house. I can't even call it a hotel. And I went there, started working very hard, understood how things work now this. During that time, Google was just coming on the scene. So I went abroad with my dad's credit card. We started doing Google, AdWords, PPC. There was something that people didn't know about. Things took off at that time. Hotels in Delhi when you would type, there would be only about three hotels. Ours, InterContinental, maybe one more and restaurants.

Do you want to share with people.

Right now my hotel name is Ajanta Hotel in India. And Google did a case study on us that who are these people? On the first page we had three listings, our own and for every keyword, not hotels in Delhi. If things started moving then we started doing a little bit of SEO. From one hotel. We made more hotels. Google did another case study on us. So I was 22, 23. We started realizing that this one guy in India who is 10, taking the Internet to another level.

Wow.

And Internet, A lot of people were like, Internet, you're working on the Internet. Internet. Oh, Internet is at least nine, right? No Internet. I am building a business. How can you build a business on the Internet? I was like, you know, forget it. I can't teach these people.

Yeah, it's very difficult.

Then from that thing got an opportunity to speak at different events, became a speaker, became, you know, started training. Because we started training, my hotel business started growing. I was like, let me share this knowledge with other people. We made a small team called Internet Mobile. We said, we are the Internet mobile. 24, 25 year old. We said, we're the kings of the world Internet moguls. We made a team and we said we'd share our knowledge with others. We were not in the. We didn't think of starting an agency. We said, we make. We made a team of Internet moguls and Then to cut the long story short, this is not my interview, this is yours. I'm going to keep my story short.

Just one quick question. How did you learn the SEO? SEO stuff like you said.

Still I read a lot. I read a lot because see SEO experts even now are few and far in between. Things are moving so fast if you find an expert. So you have to keep on doing. You don't keep on. And I always say experiment. That's not bad. 20% result is not bad.

Sometimes you feel so from failures you learn something new.

Yeah, right, Exactly. So you know, I don't think people should plan. People are watching the show, they should not plan successful.

Right? So work hard. Work hard on your dreams. Yeah, that's a plan.

So what's, what's Somakissa? They also fond of some cars? Bikes or.

No, I'm. I'm not fond of all the cars because I don't believe that if some. I, I use Uber from my time right now I have my own car but I prefer to travel some sometimes via Uber or from our own car. But I don't have fanciness for all the stuff. I, I don't believe someone startups are looking for ideas.

Yesterday I did a video which said the startup should do what it comes from their heart and something will be passionate about. Like. But I also share on my show sometimes idea that you should do this. Like yesterday I said hardware should, you know, hardware should be free, TV should be free and you should charge monthly subscription to say sports channel. So people can say make my trip. Somebody can go and run with that idea. I don't have time and, and I can't do it. What is one idea that you would like to give? You know, you come across so many things just to share some idea with the team. This has not been done.

Yes, ideas I have made, I have some. That many people, they have their ideas but they don't work on it. They just. In the beginning they just give up so fast. So whatever the idea ideas you have in your mind, just try to work. Research is very important here right now. So whatever the ideas you have, you, you, you want to start a Uber or you want to start something like that. So your research is very important if you want to make your idea successful. Try to do research and try to meet new people. Share your ideas so you will get some feedback from them. Because when I was launching my own product, I just share the idea with other experts and I got some feedback from them. So this helped me to improve my own Idea and art and my product was improved much, much better. Around eight. Around eight.

That's not bad. A lot of entrepreneurs.

Sometimes I wake up late because I used to work late nights.

So It's.

It depends. Eight or nine is. Is a time right now.

Okay. But not 12 or 12.

No, no, it's just. It's a. It's a bad habit. It's a bad habit. Yeah.

Right. And you exercise sometimes.

Recently I. I stopped going to gym because I'm getting some weight right now. So I'll start gyming again.

Right now is also on a new vision. And once Karan becomes the ideal body size that he wants to, then we are going to break Karan from behind the camera.
