Foreign. Hey everyone, Avi Ara here. Father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, a streetcar racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer and founder of Internet moguls. Today I'm going to talk about this very interesting topic called how to tell your parents I need to follow my passion. So, ladies and gentlemen, if you followed my messages over the years, you've seen that I'm a very big advocate of family rocks. So the first chapter of my book Ask Avi Arya says, stay close to the router in which I say, you and I, we're all devices and our family is a router. The closer a device is to a router, the more you're connected. The more you can download information about yourself, the more signals you have about your own self. Right? So it's a self appreciation and a self acknowledgment exercise that you do whenever you're close to your family. I'm no way propagating what you should stay in the same house, same floor, same room. You do you. But I'm just telling you what works for me. The best thing to do is to understand that a family is a router in your all devices. We all are going out there and looking for mentors, but our mentors are inside our family. They might not understand digital marketing and the new age and how it's going, but they're fearful and they're respectful of where the future lies because they've seen ups and downs, they've seen trends, they've seen facts, they've seen fake people all over the world and they know what works and what doesn't work. So they're being mindful, they're being very, they're being wary of all the gurus out there who are teaching you children all of the different things to do. So I'm 43 years old. My dad is 71. He's still looking out for me. So number one part of this video, be thankful to the people who are saying no to you because they're doing two things for you. A, they got your back. They're making sure that nobody else is taking you for a ride. So every time that they ask you a question, why is that person charging you that much money? Who is he? Find out his credentials. Are you sure he or she is not fake? They got your back. So respect the people who've got your back, number one. Number two, they're also testing your resolve. The more they're asking you a question. Are you sure you want to get into digital marketing? Are you sure this is going to be your career. Which of your friends are doing it? Are you sure you found out about your mentor? Have you seen his credentials? Have you seen him, what he's doing online? Have you spoken to other people that he's talking to and he's helped when they're doing all of that, they're challenging your resolve to be able to do better and better. You're like, if you really go through all their rigors and answer all of their questions and still are able to get into digital marketing or whatever field you want to get into, you have, congratulations, you've crossed hurdle number one. Because the hurdles that come from the family are hurdles that are there to protect you and take care of you. So don't take these family conversations negatively. These are the most positive things that can happen to you. Now let's flip the conversation and speak to parents. Parents, My name is Avi Arya, father of two girls growing up wanting to be digital marketers. At least one of them is husband to a superwoman, a streetcar racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer and founder of Internet moguls. I'm 43 years of age. I was running a travel business, then a hospitality business, multiple businesses I still own and operate and now I started a digital marketing agency. Now we do everything from affiliate marketing to webinars to all of that. Let me tell you one thing, this probably is one of the only things on the planet right now that may require the least amount of coaching, planning and training rather than going in for a three or four year course. And I did my mba. Let me tell you that my grandfather, very senior army official, he wanted me to do his mba. And I respect the vision and the foresight of elders because they can see ahead of me, because they've had experiences, they walked the planet. So whatever my parents said I did, after which I went back to doing exactly what I wanted to do on my free time. So if youngsters and parents, now for all of you listening together, if I want to take care of my parents wishes as well, and I feel that I want to be safe, then it's fine. There's no problem in being safe. You cannot risk it in every environment depending on your family situation, sometimes you can't risk it. So I did my mba, I did everything that was needed to do and on the side I started doing whatever I could for my hospitality business and my Internet marketing thing. One of them took off and then I still take care of my hotel business and I do other things as well. So ladies and gentlemen, it's okay to have multiple things taking care of your work till you actually find revenue coming in from one stream and you jump on the other board. You know what, if you really want something, you don't mind going through the journey and the struggle of doing all of this to be able to say, you know, I'm now a digital marketer full time. Because a full time digital marketer doesn't mean you get in and Monday morning you start making money. The one thing I tell everybody to do is depending on the kind of person you are, depending on the kind of person you are. Go in and get a course. I need to get courses. I need to understand from people. I need to sit up in a setting. I need to buy an E course, I need to buy a webinar. I need to understand from other experts, four, five of them. Then what I do is then I understand which is the right expert for me. Then I choose one, Then I eliminate all four and I choose one. Then I follow his webinars again and again, follow his courses again and again. And all the five, six, seven, eight things that those people have said, I implement into the system and I start making side money. Once that side money starts growing, then I take time away from my existing business, which is giving me less money and I get more into this. That is how you sort of bridge the gap in coming full time for all of you people. First, do a course, attend multiple webinars, see the person whose message most resonates with you. Go to multiple webinars and take an E course, get into somebody's university, do a three month program, apply for an internship. Go to my Micro Video Mastery YouTube channel and I've got many free videos on how you can use micro videos to get an internship in any company in the world. Get an internship, work for three months, prove yourself, work harder than everybody else, work smarter than everybody else. Stay close to the sun, which is the boss, because sun is going to give you heat and light both. You're going to get heat from the boss, he's going to give you more work and going to question every decision of yours. Stay close to him. He's also going to give you light in terms of more knowledge. Stay close to him, stay close to the sun. After that, once you prove to yourself in three months, then ask for a job, then you start working there for at least two years and you work with different verticals, different industries and you understand which is your niche. And then maybe you want to have a niche or a sub niche. And continue working because you realize that this is a good phenomena and a good field to be in. And you do jobs in different industries and different companies. And if you still feel that this is not for you, then you don't want to do a job. Then you get in and start doing your own business, start your own websites and understand beyond niche. What so it is a process like every other thing. You don't need to necessarily invest two, three years in studying, but you have to follow this path, follow multiple webinars, find a coach, take his program, follow all the things he says, get into a full time school, get into an internship, from internship, get into a job and then after two years you will have your plan crystal clear. And then you will be making videos and helping people find their own passion and niche. To all your parents, all your parents out there and all you hustlers, all you youngsters, everybody wants to get into digital marketing. I hope this video that I made here on somewhere around Christmas time from Vancouver, Canada. I just finished the gym, I'm feeling charged and I thought I should make this video for all of you people. Ladies and gentlemen, I hope this video helps you and I hope your 2020 is something very exceptional for you and you have a fantastic 2020 ahead. Once again, this is Abhi Alia, father of two girls, six dogs, husband two superwoman, streetcar racer turned terrier, now social media marketer and founder of Intern Mobile. Signing off now.
