How to use social media as an Educator | How to teach on social media

Avi Arya from Internet Moguls argues educators need to teach students digital skills and entrepreneurship to prepare them for the future. He runs workshops globally and co-authored a book with his daughters on teaching kids entrepreneurship.
To all principals and teachers and awesome educators across the world. My name is Avi Arya and I'm from Internet Moguls. Dear all my video today is subjected to all of you because I that you're spending so much time, energy and dedicating your life to your students. You want your students to learn and be adaptable in today's world. But guess what? Nobody teaches us what is running in this world. After we finish your courses, after we finish your seminars, after we finish your workshops and get out of your awesome university or school, they come out into this world and they find themselves clueless. Clueless on digital marketing, clueless on social media, clueless on entrepreneurship. And then there is a huge disconnect. Their bosses want them to be digitally ready. New supervisors want them to understand social media, but the poor children have not understood it. So I have created talks and workshops which I am taking to schools around the world. Now these schools are small schools, kindergarten, middle school, and top universities across the world. Guess what? I don't know if I've told you this. I've got two daughters, 12 and nine. And between me and my two daughters, one day we sat down and we said, you know what? Let's talk about entrepreneurship. And I made a story around it. And both my daughters came in and we became co authors and we wrote a book called Bedtime Stories for Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs. We made a book on entrepreneurship and between me and my two partners, my two co authors, we go to different schools and different colleges and we talk about entrepreneurship for children. That's one thing we would love to do for you. The other thing is that when we go to universities, serious universities, MBA universities, chartered accountant firms, all of that, I see people are roaring and energized and they want to be ready for the new world, but they're not digitally ready. This whole world belongs to social media. This Internet phenomena has taken on the world and the possibilities are endless. I know a lot of people say that people are spending time here and there. Everything has a pro and con. You have to be disciplined every time a new thing is given to you. You have to enforce. You have to find your own discipline. But having said that, the possibilities and the opportunities in social media are so many that a lot of people are not able to understand what field to choose, how to get a job, how to get my LinkedIn resume ready before I reach out to people. How, when I get into a job, what should I do? How can I add value to somebody's firm leveraging digital and social. Because guess what every interview is asking you that. So I'm going across the world and talking at universities, giving talks and conducting workshops to help your teachers, help your principals, help your students to understand the power of digital. What are the opportunities, what are the possibilities and how you can use some of the best practices to become successful as soon as you get out of these universities. Universities across the world have supported me and I've loved the workshop that we've done for them because it's helped their students, the parents have loved it, it's become part of their curriculum, and now we're doing it across the world. So if you're an educator or you know of an educator and you think that my message resonates with you, my message of changing the world through these students and getting them ready, I don't want these students going out into this world and being wary of what they will do. I don't want them to be scared or fearful or nervous of what's going to happen. Learning on the job is great, but sometimes you want to be little more prepared before you go in. I would love to come and prepare your students to be social media and digital marketing. Ready. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is ABHI Arya and I'm from Internet Moguls and I love to hear from you and help you change your students and their lives forever. Thank you very much for watching this video and I look forward to talking to you.
