SOLVE not SELL || Avi Arya

Avi Arya explains how to grow a mobile phone business by solving customer problems instead of pushing sales. He emphasizes value-added services, customer education, and building community engagement as the real drivers of growth.
So Aviaria, I have some questions for you.
Yes, go for it.
So my first question is I'm having a little trouble with my business, like how to grow it. People are not coming. So how do I intrigue customers?
Can you tell me a little bit about your business, what it's about?
So my business is basically about like it has mobile phones and I'm trying to sell it to people, but they're not coming to me. They're always going to other stores. How do I intrigue them?
Okay, how do you intrigue them? Okay. Very smart questions you've asked. Aviana. Just wanted to lost track. Just thought of something. Aviana, I think that's a very interesting question of intriguing your customers because you want them to say that there is something different. See, what you're doing is you're a product company, you're selling a mobile phone, which is a commodity and somebody can buy a mobile phone cheaper at another store. So what do you do to make your store and your service more rememberable? See, the thing is that the real service, the real value, the real expertise of a business, even if it's a product business comes in when people are looking for solutions. People see, like I said, a product company, a phone is $400 or 450 or 420, you'll buy it at the cheapest price and Amazon and all of these competitors out there as well. But if you have a store and you are able to be the solution provider. Which phone should I buy? My 9 year old, I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I still want to give her a phone so that she feel I feel safe. She feels safe, but I don't want to give her Instagram and Snapchat at all. So then you will give an answer to say these are the phones which are available, which are semi, part semi smartphones. They're not 100% dumb, they have some feature. This is what you should buy. What kind of phone should I buy? My old grandmother who cannot read fine print, what kind of features are available? If I'm traveling to London and I'm there only for two weeks and I don't want to spend a lot of money, what should I do to be able to increase my Internet? Because I like to do webinars and zoom calls as a meeting person from the way. So what should I do? What phone should I use? So if you are somebody who is giving value to people by giving them solutions to the most commonly asked questions around mobile phones, then you will be the go to person when they think of buying a phone. So it's a middle to long term strategy. The other thing is that I like to say that productize your service. Service ties your product offering, which means that you have a product and I want you to say that, make an offer around it. Instead of saying I'm just selling a mobile phone, maybe you can say that with this mobile phone. Every six months I'll do your service for free. I will update the data for free, I will download all the information on your laptop. Because a lot of people when they buy a phone, they don't know how to take on the information and put it into the laptop and they're like, my data might get lost and all of that. So you say whenever you buy it, this is a service which is included with it. So find out, ask your top five customers when you buy a phone, what is the immediate friction point, immediate problem that you have and be the solution provider for that problem. And when you're doing any of that, then obviously do it on social media all the time so more people can hear about it. So that is to raise the awareness and all of that. Number three, what you can do is like Apple does it very well at most of their stores. You can have a meetup like a weekly or a monthly meetup for senior citizens and youngsters and all of that and say I am going to help you to decode the best features of your mobile phone. Most people use only 50% features. I'll tell you how to get smarter with your smartphone. And you have a class where people come to your store or your coffee shop or whatever and you teach them, ask them question, answer their questions and record all the information why that is happening. Not only will you become a solution provider, the go to solution provider in your area, but all of that is recorded. You get content for your social media and that's how you become who you are and you guys find that extra value for your customers. I hope that question helps. Abhiana try it out and let me know how it went.
