Foreign. Hi, this is a message. ABHI Arya here. Father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, street car racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer and founder of Internet vocals. See, I almost forgot my hero introduction, but I got back to it because my promise is every video starts and ends with a hero introduction because that's what marks your signature in the digital world through every single video of yours. Once again, Aviharia, father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, streetcar racer turned hotelier, now social media marketer. I hope you're having a fantastic day and time while you're watching this video. This video I wanted to make for all of you people who are coaches. If you're a coach, you could be a fitness coach, you could be a lifestyle coach, you could be a fashion coach, you could be a. Just wanted to tell you a couple of things. Firstly, when people feel that coaching is new and it's a new industry and everybody should get into it and they are learning to maneuver this industry to be able to get into it, to be able to understand the ethics, the best principles, best practices and all of that, I feel that I need to tell you or remind many of you that coaching has been around forever. Especially in the context of India. Kings used to send their princes to coaches called gurukuls and they used to say, teach him archery, teach him self discipline, teach him self mastery. This whole paradigm shift that we feel is happening through personal development, of personal development around the world is not new. In the Indian context, personal development was personal development. Self mastery was being taught by yogis, gurus all over the world. Throughout every single household, there was a parent or a grandparent who was always talking about mastering yourself. When you were asked not to smoke or not to drink or about a vice or something, it was because they were teaching you there are some principles in life and some habits which will take you towards success. And the others might pull you down. Every single thing about personal development, waking up early in the morning, being with nature, being truthful, having the ethics to be able to win. All of those things have been in our literature forever. So because it's always been there, it is a promise of one human being to the other human being, saying that whatever life has taught me, whatever I have put in countless hours to master, I will now promise that I bring this mastery to you. And if you promise me that you will take this mastery and take it to the next level, then I promise to be your coach and give you my all. This also means that they had the guts to be able to say no to a student who they felt was not ready. It also meant that they had the guts to fire a student or a client in today's day and age if he was not ready. If you are a gym coach and your student is not changing his dietary patterns and therefore there are no results happening just because he's a client or because you make money, you may not want to continue with that person because it is not going to take your craft and show it to the world. Your results will speak for itself themselves when you work with serious people who are ready. Which doesn't mean that you should not try working with people. Try and see how open they are to change. The same thing happens with digital coaches. You could be a Facebook expert, an email marketing expert, somebody who's doing a website. We hardly set expectations for our clients and then our clients demand things which are out of scope and which may be unnecessary. But we continue to work with them because we need the money and we cannot lose the client. That spoils not only your reputation as a coach, but you're then not respected as a digital marketing coach because then is when the relationship with the client stops working. And that's why more and more people want to get away from the digital marketing arena. Because they're like, I don't want an agency because an agency is a lot of work. It's because they've not set the expectations right. The other thing is, before we get into the digital marketing industry, and you can use this analogy everywhere, you could be a coach in any industry, you need to ask yourself, have you put in the required amount of hours to actually be a coach and find mastery in a particular subject before you actually offer your services to people overseas or anywhere in the country? Because if you've not and you've already used social media to become an overnight brand and that's possible, you can do lots of Facebook ads and all of that and speak on stages and you're overnight somebody who's respected and looked upon. And then you. Then people come to you and you're a coach and you've not mastered it yourself. So let me first get students and then find mastery may not be the right strategy for you to have a long term game because you're not ready and you get into this field and because you don't have the guts or the gumption to say no to a client or a student before taking him on or midway through the practice because he or she is not adhering to the principle that will get the best results for you and them. It spoils the craft, it spoils the ecosystem, it spoils the entire industry. And then all of these coaches somewhere sit together over a lunch or a discussion or a forum or a seminar and say, you know what? It's not really working for me. Not really making that kind of money. Students are not really attentive. People don't want to finish their courses, clients don't want to pay money. The economy is not really well, the ecosystem is screwed up. While they're saying that, in that very seminar, there are these 3, 4, 5% digital marketers or fitness coaches, depending on which ecosystem we're talking about, who are really doing well. And those are people who have scaled up their business with mastery. They've gone into a niche, gone deeper, found a sub niche, they've perfected their hero introduction, they've understood who they are. You only find the right student once you start reflecting on you are, on who you are. It's a mirror effect. Both of you need an exchange of value of energy. And that's how the universe puts together. The right students for the right master, the right teacher at that point in time. And the student is also coming and teaching you lots of things about yourself. So reflect on this video. I'm only urging when I do my videos. I'm not coming as an expert, I'm not coming as a guru. I'm just coming as somebody who's observing the world around me. And because I happen to be working with lots of coaches helping coaches get into digital marketing, helping digital marketing coaches evolve their careers, get into digital marketing, agency work, help them find proposals and all of that. I've worked with so many of them and I realized that they work very hard. I mean, the hard work is exemplary. The, you know, hats off to the commitment on the number of hours they're putting in. But first, self mastery. Put in more time before you become a coach in that very subject. Number two, understand the end objective and make sure you have longer discussions before taking a client to set the expectations. And midway, if you are having difficulty in achieving an outcome, have those difficult conversations with your clients or students. And when the time comes, do justice to the craft, give respect to the whole ecosystem and fire a client or a student if need be, even if it's temporary, till they are able to realize that to become a good student and come into an ecosystem, they require a shift, a mental change, and to be able to have that kind of discipline, that's when you'll have better students coming out of your coaching systems. That's where your reputation will flourish. That's where people will do well and there will be respect for whatever profession that you're in. Once again, I hope this video helps. If you're a coach of any kind, if you're a digital marketer of any kind, reflect on this. If it works for you, keep it. If it's not, if it works for a friend of yours, share it. If not, if not, once again, thank you very much for your nine minutes of your time. Once again, this is Aviaria, father of two girls, six dogs, husband to a superwoman, streetcar racer, turn hotelier, now social media marketer and founder of Internet Moguls. Signing off for now, Chips.
