Indian hotels aren't bundling packages with airlines like Air India and IndiGo the way international carriers do. Airlines already sell flight-and-hotel deals for ₹50,000 to couples heading to Vietnam. Goa once thrived on charter partnerships with TUI and European carriers, but hotels there have missed the chance to replicate that model with domestic airlines.
In our case, we get a lot of business from the airline.
So nowadays this new thing has come up that you tie up with an airline. So there is a mask offer. So you book an airline, you also get a package at the hotel and that's like an overall deal. I again go back to that example of Vietnam of ₹50,000. You can actually book a Goa hotel at ₹50,000 return fare for a couple. Similarly, unfortunately, Indian hotels have not collaborated with the airlines that are operating and that's where they are losing out.
The point what sir is trying to make is there are tie-ups at the local Goa level with the international charters to drive in business in the season. Right. With TUI and all of those. That is a different ballgame altogether only. That is something which Goa themselves had generated for them being Atmanirbhar 20 years back when there was hardly any flight coming into Goa from different parts of the country. Right. So Goa ne Atmanirbhar karein, we had people from Poland, Sweden, Finland, Scandinavia, UK, France. Goa was a different country altogether. You know, what we are trying to discuss over here is that now that Goa has the potential to go on a global level and you have international tourists coming in, why can't hotels over here be street smart to do tie-ups with Air India, Indigo, Akasa? Recently there were two new airlines which were being launched. Fly91 is a local Goa airline, but again, you know, packages are not being there. So revenue management was brought to hotels by airlines, right?
