Gary, we all know. Everybody knows how much I love. I love Gary. And you know, this is back about eight, 10 years back when I used to watch, or maybe longer, I don't remember when I used to watch wine library tv. And I'm not a wine drinker, I don't like wine. But this guy used to go crazy on TV and used to have this. Used to have this bucket and used to say, this is this wine, and then spit it out. And then we used to talk about wine like that. And actually, he's got so much energy. So first, the first reaction, I think used to be like, this guy is crazy. Why is he doing this? But then you want to be like him. You want to be like him. You want to be like him. And then he pivoted and he started talking about branding and social media and all of that social media he started talking about. And then all the predictions that he made, they all started coming true one by one. So he started so. And then I took a break from watching him. I was traveling. Then I got busy with my work to develop the agency and Internet moguls was keeping me busy. I started speaking. I looked, I, you know, I saw him. I got inspired. I became a speaker. And then I used to go back to listen to him, get motivated, go back. And then one day I realized that two years have passed by. I watch him off and on, get motivated, do my thing, grow my agency, grow my speaking business, go back to him. And then I realized what a huge brand he's become in this short time. And what am I doing? I'm only watching him, getting inspired and doing a little bit, and he's creating every day, every day, every day, every day. I'm like, my God, what if I had also listened to him? I mean, I was listening to him, but I was not doing what he was telling us to do. He said, stop watching and start doing. If I had created my videos on my reality, on what my impact I can make on this world every single day, maybe I would have reached somewhere, you know, further than where, what I am today. So he. That's why I totally fell in love with the guy. And I've never been a fan of somebody like that. I told him when I met him, I said, you know, I hugged him. The first thing I went was, I hugged him. And I said, I said, this never happens to me before. It's, you know, that when I meet somebody and I just lose control and I say, my God, you're the ultimate. I never do this. And he Was like, you know, I think this happens to him very often. So he was pretty chilled out about it. So I said, I have to meet Gary. I wanted to meet him for the longest time. But then what happened was I was doing a new year resolution and I said, okay, I will make a chart. I always write everything in my diary what I want to do in life. So I said, I am going to meet Gary Vener Chan. And just because he's amazing and I am a huge fan, I think size wise I'm a big guy, I think I'm his biggest fan size wise. If there's a bigger fan out there, let me know. But I thought I should meet him. I wrote it down and I thought to myself, how should I meet him? My family and my kids all, every time they walk into my room, oh no, dad. Again, Gary V Dailyvee. And I'm like, you know, I would like to watch it. And I then watch the reruns because there's so much to learn and all that. It's plus entertaining. So I'll meet him. And so I wanted to, I wanted. We wanted to do something for Gary in India. I always wanted to do something for Gary in India. So I'll show you. We created a small Gary museum kind of a thing. I think it's the first ever Gary museum in the whole world. Created something for him, you know, Gary pictures and all of that. And I thought, you know, what can I do to introduce him to my friends? What can I do to introduce him to my people? So what we did was that we started doing regular Gary Vee videos in the office. So the entire office watches Gary V videos. And I went and showed it to him and Karan made that short film. We travelled around the country and we met other people and we said, do you want Gary to come to India? So we made those short films and we went to speak to Alex about how to get. So that was the first thing that's what I wanted to do to meet him. And you know, the best part is I was not supposed to meet him. I was going to meet Alex who's a great human being. And I met Alex and they're all stars. Walking into, I met Alex and he said, come up and we had coffee. Hey guys, it's Alex with Gary's team. Thank you so much for the support. It really means a lot. So great meeting the one and only Avi. Hopefully I get to see you guys out there soon. Have a great new year. All the best. Thanks man. And just walking into the VaynerMedia office, Hudson Yards, new office. All of that was great. And he was so great. He said, have a look around, meet people. I met Stanwin, the. I met Stunwin and he was working on a beer brand and we had a nice conversation. I went into the cafeteria, they had some 400 pizzas and hundreds of glasses of wine, went out to the weekend for that. They were taking care of their teams and I met everybody. And then, and then Alex says, would you like to meet Gary? Are you serious? But you said he's not here. He said we might, he might be coming back to the office and I'll see if I can set up some. My God, my heart was racing like it never raced before. And I'm not like that. See, I'm running a company called Internet Mogul for the last so many years. I've got 155 people working for me in one company, 150 in the hotel company. I do my own social media marketing and brandings. This doesn't happen to me. I'm not a 21 year old kid who's saying, oh my God, this is a social media star. I'm a 40 year old guy who's got two daughters, seven dogs and two successful companies. I never thought that I would look at, I would be so excited to meet somebody. But when Alex said, would you like to meet Gary? I went completely ballistic. And I had my fingers crossed because I didn't think it would happen. And then it did. And the best part was I met him, we had a great meeting. And then Gary said he listened, he kept on listening. When I came back and everybody's like, how is Gary? I was like, I'm a much bigger fan, much bigger fan. See, normally what happens is when you meet celebrities, the sheen wears off because after meeting them for a while you feel he's also a human being, normal. He's not that big. He was looking bigger, larger than life on screen. But Gary became way bigger for me because he is what he is. He is what he is. He is what he is. He's real. He was eating some sushi, health conscious. He was having water. He was doing his 14, 15 hour work day. He had gone to so many places and he came back. When he was talking to me, I felt that I'm the most important person in the world. He gave me that time. When he says that I spend money time meeting people, it's just not for the DailyVee Show. It's because he makes you feel that important. Then there's a motivational video from Gary Vee. And in the afternoon it's a Dailyvee. So I'm always thinking, wow, when I'm watching videos, I'm saying, does Gary even know that? I think he's counting it as one. View 121st watching two videos every single day for the last as many years that you've been putting on thumb every single day, it cannot be missed by even one person in the office sales team. Outside is different. So these are the, you know, these are the three trajectories that happen. Highly motivating. Your wallpapers wherein you write your quotations. I keep it in a cell phone.
What up Internet moguls? It's me, Gary Vee. You may know that I think you see me a whole bunch because of this dude. Had a great meeting. I just want to send my love. Thank you so much for the love that you gave me first and I can't wait to actually meet you guys.
Thanks, Gary. He said things that were relevant to me. What blew me away was when he said he gets into people's minds. And I heard people on Daily V saying it, but he got into my mind. He would finish my sentences. I met him for the first time ever in my life. I know him. I watch Dailyvee. He doesn't watch the Ashrabi Arya show, but he knows me. He knew me so well. He just knows his demographic so well. It was unbelievable. That first meeting was just absolutely crazy. Almost 4am Just leaving New York. Had an amazing meeting with somebody that I absolutely love. You all know who I'm talking about. Made my day, made my week. Motivated for the next quarter. Why I wanted to make this video was that I got this sudden thought that, you know, a lot of people in India say that there are some divine places, some temples to go to before you die. There's some energy over there because over the years people have prayed there and that's how people think over there. The vibrations of those places are good and so people make treks all over the length and breadth of India to actually go to these divine places of worship. I somehow felt this time when I was in New York, this is one such place because it's bustling with ideas, it's bustling with startups, entrepreneurs, people like garyvee, Casey Neistat, crazy entrepreneurs from all over the world. So the energy of New York has to have, you know, I'm sure it does take you to another level. All you need to do is get yourself into the energy of like minded People or super achievers. And you know, you're on the, you're on one path to success. So New York does to me what a lot of vibrationally great places do to a lot of people. I think I'm going to be back here pretty soon and more often and meet some movers and shakers and hopefully share their learnings with my team back at Internet Moguls and with all of you who are watching the Askabia show. So surround yourself with the best people, surround yourself with, you know, find the nice, the best place for you and your ideas to come alive. I think there is a fertile ground where the best seeds come out. You know, all kinds of trees, all kinds of fruits, all kinds of vegetables, Everything that we have in our mind, all kind of ideas originate in our minds. But I think there's a. The right plantation is needed for those ideas to come to life. And I think, you know, cities like New York and all are absolutely great for these ideas to come. I'm charged, I'm pep. I'm going to be coming back. Stay tuned. Cheers.
Trying to hold on to hold on When I'm not there for you Wanna take a different lane Wanna play my own game and I don't need you here so won't you let me go? Why Take this ball and chain that you have put on me and throw it out the window I think that.
You should let go Let me go.
Go let me go I told you I'm not yours anymore no, I'm not yours so why you trying to hold on?
It's the first words out of my mouth. I'm reinforcing it because I want you to go fast.
Sure.
And I want to do things and I don't want you to worry about that. And I know you aren't. And that makes me like you.
Right. I just turned 40 a few months back. And when I was 18, I just wanted to race street cars really fast. There were no cell phones to organize all of it. Yes. So to organize street cars without races, without phones and all of that. And every weekend you could make money because you were making a cut out of all of that. And plus I was winning my races as well. I thought I was doing a great job. My father called me to his office, very small office, and he said, get out of the house. In India, you never get out of the house. Next morning, behind this 40 room hotel, small hotel, said, you know, he's doing everything right. How do I redeem myself? He's already, you know, tarnished my reputation. The Whole family and all of that. So I said I need to now connect with customers globally. He's got 40 rooms and all 40 of them domestic tourists. If all 40. At that time there was a crazy rule in India. Yeah. Google. Oh, excellent. So I found Google and he took 40. He took. Yeah, I see that. So in he first. He took 40 years to build his first hotel. I just, I joined in business, discovered the Internet. We built five in the next five years and that sort of started everything for me. My confidence grew. I, you know, I became the Internet poster boy of India. This guy discovered the Internet and this hotel business happen. So we grew the hotel business, we got commoditized because then Google, Facebook, everybody came to India and then we said, what should we do? We have this knowledge. We started an agency. The agency now 150 people. We work.
What is this?
This is the book I just, you know, just wrote first draft. I wanted to show it to you. It's not ready yet. It's the first draft. I'm editing it, calling it the Accidental first mover.
Who's publishing it?
We're speaking to a couple of, you know, my team in India is speaking to a couple of people.
But you made this yourself.
Absolutely everything. And I know that there are 5000 hoteliers in India who the day I launch it and tell them they want, everybody will want to, you know, to read it. So I've got my captive audience over there.
There's a million things we can do.
Of course.
I believe in your ability to promote.
Right.
And to business development.
Right.
So you my attention. I'll. I can answer. I'll. You know one thing that's good about me? I'll give you the answers.
Sure. I'll tell you what's right.
The score. Of course you got to think about it and I appreciate your transparency. For me it builds real trust.
Yeah. No, and that's. Yeah. I just was hesitant to be as transparent. To be very honest last time, you know, I'm, I'm.
I'm a Russian immigrant. In Russia you die with loose lips. It's another thing that the ghetto and I get along on. So you know, this stays here.
Sure. You had a question?
All right.
I wanted to start a YouTube channel, but my mom's a bit overprotective.
Yeah. So I was wearing. How old are you?
I'm 11.
Okay. So do you have a musical ly account? Yes. What's going on with your 11 year? Your 11 year old friends, what are they mainly on Instagram, Musically, Snapchat, Instagram Snapchat. Not really musically because musically was more 8 and 9 and as you get a little bit older, you're out.
Yeah, he knows it all.
Was, was this the year? Like what grade are you in? Fourth, fifth, sixth, sixth. Like so what last year musically or no? Yeah, so but this year like everybody's.
Kind of like, everyone's like Instagram's. So I was wondering what would be.
A good age to start YouTube and also how do you make your YouTube channel so successful? So two things. Every parent kid combo has a different answer to the age. There's kids that are doing YouTube channels of four. There's parents that won't let their kids go on YouTube until they're 18 and leave the house. So that's a converse. You know, if you, you know, if I get lucky enough to go and negotiate with your mom, I'll do my best for you. But like that's a tough game as you know, as far as. If you start it and they let you do it. You've got to talk about. There's only one way to make a successful YouTube channel. You got to talk about something you love or you're good at. You know, like that's the only way. So if you're super into making slime right now, then do that. If you're, you know.
And dogs.
What's that?
Dogs.
You gotta talk about what you know and love. If you don't, you'll lose. If you're like, oh, everybody's into slime. I'm not, but I'm gonna start channel there because that's what will work. You'll lose cuz lime will come and go and you never loved it and then it won't get suc. And what you know the most is what you love. And that's it.
Sa.
