Hey, check this out. So you might have received an email from Google and it says Google will automatically display relevant information from your marketing emails. And at first I was like, well, okay, what the heck does this mean? Basically, Google will collect and display relevant content from your marketing emails on search, shopping tab, and more. So essentially Google will take any promotions that you're running in any of your email marketing and apply that as promotions to your shopping ads. There's a good post here from PPC Kirk. His name's Kirk Williams. I don't know him personally, but I have seen him around. He said, hey, we're making it an internal policy to opt out of this for our clients because past experience with Google automated promotion features have often created more confusion than value. I agree with Kirk. So how do you do that, right? You do it by going into your Merchant Center account. This is a test account that I'm in, but you go to this settings icon up here. Then you're gonna go to general account options. You're gonna scroll down and this marketing content usage, you're gonna hit do not share data and then you hit save if you want to turn it off. Email marketing plays a whole different role than what we're doing on all the Google Ads side for most of our clients. So I don't want Google automatically applying promos that we might be running in email marketing campaigns for the clients and then applying it to our Google Ads, right? Our Google Shopping ads. We have generated over $50 million in revenue for our clients using Performance Max campaigns.
