We cut Performance max spend by 80% and the results are crazy. We have significantly grown conversions and sales and new customers for multiple E Comm brands. In this video I'm going to show you the results of three separate E Com brands from last month and show you the year over year difference in performance Max spend to what we are now spending on shopping ads and the results that we were able to achieve from that. Now this isn't just a one month thing. We've been doing a strategic shift like this for a lot of E Comm brands throughout this year. I want to do a breakdown though of the success of these three just from last month's standpoint, especially as we had massive success in Black Friday and we did that by spending a significant amount less on Performance Max campaigns. For those that don't know me, my name is Austin Claire. I am co founder of Grow My Ads the channel you're on today. We are an agency and we manage millions in Google Ad spend. Let's dive in and see the results of these three E comm businesses. Okay. Brand number one is a furniture business. November of 2025 compared to November of 2024. Cost differences. We spent total in the account about $14,000 more. So that's 102,000 compared to 88,000 in 2024. So here there was a bit of an increase in spending. Now let's look at where that cost went. Search very similar 8% difference there. Shopping 421% difference. We went and spent almost $56,000 last month compared to just about 11 in 2024. Now let's look at Performance Max. 2024. Almost $40,000 in Performance Max. November of 2025 we spent a whopping $9,000. Now let's look at the results that we were able to achieve. Conversion value increase 35%. That's a $206,000 increase in revenue for this brand. Remember, we only spent 15% more on cost, so we spent 14k to generate $206,000 more in revenue. That's a ROAS increase as well for us. We don't really care about roas in this account. We care about new customer growth and that's exactly what they got on the back end. Okay, Ecom brand number two. They sell toys and clothing for a specific lifestyle niche industry. November of 2025 we spent $47,000 total in the account compared to last year we spent 42. So that's a 13% increase in spend. About $5,000 of an additional spend year over Year. Where'd that spend go? Search. We actually were up by 4K shopping. We were up 110%. So we spent $17,000 more on shopping. So that's a difference of 16,000 on shopping last year compared to 33,000 this year. What about performance max? Okay, 77 difference. It's about 80% decrease. Right. We spent 20K last year. We spent a whopping 4,600 this year on PMAX. Let's take a look at the results of this one. We were up 45% on conversion value. So that's 160. I'm gonna round this up $1,000. $161,000 increase in conversion value at a greater return on ad spend. Again, whatever about roas, I care about new customer growth. They absolutely got new customer growth. This account does unfortunately like to also look at a ROAS metric. I, you know, as an advertiser I care about growing new customers for businesses at, you know, the math that makes sense for them. But the results here are absolutely incredible. That was an exciting, exciting month for them. Not just a month, a year as well. This has been a strategy we've deployed throughout most of 2025, at least the second half here. And we were able to achieve these results with an 80% decrease in performance max for this brand. And brand number three, they sell hardware parts and equipment, smaller brand. So last year they spent about 8k. This year we did spend 15 for them because they needed to. We've been running this strategy of increased spend on shopping versus performance max for them throughout at least early summer. And it's been absolutely bananas for them on growth. So it made sense like go spend some more money. You need to go spend some more money and pour gasoline on what's working right now. So, so they did have a 93% increase as a percent. So that's 7k increase for them. Now where's that increase at? Search? They do almost nothing on at this moment. Shopping. We they went from 1,000 in spend last year in November to $10,500 this year in November. So that's a whopping 1,000% increase on spend to shopping. PMAX relatively the same. So they actually spent 7,000 last year we spent 4,600. That is a 30, 33% decrease. But from an absolute value it's not too far off. It's because we increase spend for this brand by 93% total. So that's why you don't see as big of a gap there. But still 33% decrease on PMAX. And the 1000% increase came on the shopping side search actually had nothing to do with this. Let's take a look at the results. Last year they did $57,000 in revenue. This year they did $157,000 in revenue. So that's a $100,000 increase. That's almost 200%. That's absolutely bananas. And trust me, this E comm business, which is only a few million dollars operation, is ecstatic because this is real growth for, for them that they're feeling on the back end. And in fact, the reason they're not spending it even more right now is due to, you know, logistics, cash flow, all the fun stuff an E comm business has to deal with as you go through these growth phases. This was done, by the way, at a 40% increase in ROAS for them as well. So the efficiencies there, to spend 5k more to generate a hundred k more in revenue is. Is just stupid. I wish I could do that with my personal money. So there's three brands that I just showed you now those are November numbers. And you might be thinking, well, Austin, that was, that was Black Friday. These companies ran the same deals that they ran last year, so there was no difference in deals. Now this year was a higher increase in Black Friday. So if you're trying to use that as a way of saying, well, maybe this strategy was just due to the fact that Black Friday was really good for them, go watch the next video where I break down the hardware company in the transition we did for them and the exact strategy I'm talking about which generated these results. So go watch that video next and there will be a link to the video as well in the description of this video below.
