Dr. Ken Druck Honoring Robert Strock

Dr. Ken Druck honors Robert Strock for his work supporting families through grief and loss. Druck shares a heartfelt monologue about their friendship and Strock's impact on grief support.
Introducing Dr. Ken Druck, psychologist, author of the Secrets Men Keep and founder of the Jenna Druck Foundation. Dr. Druck sought the support of Robert Strzok from the earliest moments of having learned that his eldest daughter, Jenna, had been tragically killed. These early and continuing conversations have formed the basis for the work of the Jenna Druck foundation, which has impacted tens of thousands of families worldwide that have also suffered the loss of a child.
So the first thing I want to say, Robert, is I want to thank you for doing this. I want to thank you on behalf of all the thousands of people that are finally going to have a chance to meet you. You are truly one of the unsung heroes of our time. You do your work quietly on the side. Not enough people have heard about you or your work. And these videos are going to give people a chance to experience you directly as I have as a friend and confidant and to benefit from the work that you do and your life's work in a way that I have that has had a major influence on myself. And I know some other people who've done wonderful things in the world with what you've given them. You have been a lifeline to me and a brother and a friend and a teacher. And I think your work and what you have taught me about loss and how we go through loss as human beings is the most profound teaching I have ever had and has had the most profound impact on the work that I've been able to do with families all over the world over the last 13 years. One of the great blessings of my life is going to be that we were able to have a friendship. And it's evolved through every imaginable season of life, including some of the tragedies that have occurred in my life and my family and all the changes. And it's a great blessing and a bonus that I've had you as a sounding board that I chose a friend who was so gifted and so able to really, truly be there. So I want to thank you very much from the bottom of my heart forever.
