A short guided-meditation transcript inviting listeners to notice that they are deeper than transient emotions. The speaker guides the listener to shift from identifying with feelings (anxiety, anger, hurt) toward recognizing an observing presence—the "real/essential you"—that can hold, accept, and protect emotional states. Practical cues include speaking from the heart to feelings ("I accept you"), visualizing hands and the heart holding the self, and cultivating a safe, nonjudging space where emotions can be expressed without causing unnecessary harm. The meditation frames this awareness as the truest, enduring nature of the self.
Most of us identify with whatever we're feeling at any given point in time. If we're feeling sad or hurt, angry, frustrated, anxious, we say or we feel, I'm anxious, I'm frightened. Let's explore together the reality, the possibility that we are deeper than this, that we actually are. The capacity to hold ourselves while we're in our various states of suffering, that we are able to be the awareness of our states. We are able to accept where we are, speak from our heart to these states. We can say, fear, hurt, anger. I accept you. I'm holding you in a safe space where you can breathe. Go ahead, be angry, be frightened. Know that I am here. Be quiet enough to know that I care about you, that my awareness safeguards you, protects you, keeps you harmless from expressing yourself in a way that's going to create pain, unnecessary pain for you and for those that you love. In fact, this holding space, this protectiveness, this awareness, this acceptance, is your primary sense of self. It has the capacity, when you access it, to be known as the real you, the essential you. So as you return over and over again, as we all do in life, to our emotional states, visualize your hands holding you, your heart holding you, in a sense, the real you holding the human side of you, and start to deepen the communication from your heart that leads with, I accept you. I will keep you safe. You can share whatever you want inside, but know that I am the real you. The awareness, the presence, the heart, the acceptance and kindness. We can coexist in life forever. But don't lose sight of the fact that I will outlast you because I am your truest, purest nature.
