This transcript is from a guided meditation (YouTube) that invites the listener to courageously revisit their earliest and largest childhood emotional wound (abandonment, neglect, abuse, etc.). The speaker prompts the listener to embody their young, innocent self (ages 3–8), to feel the original pain and defenselessness, and then to recognize and foster an inner compassionate witness/healer that both sees and loves that child. Core guidance emphasizes coexistence — accepting the wound's reality while cultivating presence, compassion, and trust from the healing self.
So gather up the courage and the wisdom to go back to your early childhood and just identify the biggest wound or. And you were so young when this happened that you were only able to experience the wound itself. Whether that was abandonment or hostility or benign neglect or a depressed parent, angry parent, verbal abuse, sexual abuse, whatever it was for you. Go back and be the little person that you were and feel how innocent, how truly innocent that person was. You're 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 years old. How innocent and defenseless you were against all these bigger people that are stronger, more powerful than you. You had no chance at whatever wounding this happened. And as you visit the wound, just feel it like it was. Maybe you felt crushed or demolished or maybe you felt invisible or just pain or fear, terror. Again, go to your uniqueness. Have the courage and the wisdom to go to your unique earliest wound and be young. Allow yourself to be that young. And now recognize that you are also the one that was there, that could see your innocence. That is your innocence that sees that you had no other choice, that loves you, that wasn't able to manifest, but it knows what you went through. Be that part, Foster that part. I know you. I know the position you are in. There was nothing you could have done. And I love you and I am sending you compassion. And I was there, even though you were wounded. I, the essential heart, compassion, presence, witness, was there. I am beckoning you. Feel your innocence. Feel your good nature in spite of the wound. Feel how defenseless you really were. And most importantly, feel my love for you. Feel my trust in you. Feel how I see this is just your wound. I know it's a big deal, but it's just your wound. You're so much bigger than that. You're also me. I am you. I am your trust. I am your love. I am your compassion. Can you feel me? Can you feel me now? And the answer is, probably partially. Keep letting me in. Keep going to me. Because I was there. I'm the one that is your innocence. And was your innocence, no matter how you reacted. I'm the one that saw the original wounding. And I'm the one that has the intelligence to see things as they are and were. I'm the one that only wants compassion for you, only wants you to trust yourself. I am the healer. I am you. The real you, the healer. Be me. Be me. Feel me as much as you can and recognize that in this gap between feeling me, you, the healer, and the wound is the most profound coexistence. Don't get caught in just identifying with the wound. Wound. But don't be delusional that the healer can completely dominate the wound. Be content with this alive coexistence, this love, presence and compassion reaching to the wound, and let it be in the full dignity of existing together.
