Tenderness For A Broken Heart_Guided Meditation

A guided meditation on returning to tenderness when you fall into blame, judgment, or anger. The speaker guides you to recall moments your heart was open, then practice self-compassion when you slip into egoic reactions. The work is accepting you'll fall, and gently returning to love.
Allow yourself to return or go back to the last time you remember when you were in your heart, where your soul was naturally radiating, where it wasn't an effort, tenderness was just flowing, grace, kindness, warmth, may have been when you had a child or a puppy, or just looking in nature, or making love. Just allow yourself to return to at least the memory, if not the experience in your heart, where, ah, this is myself, this is my real self, this is my heart, this is my soul. And recognize this is the longing forever that we have to return to this place inside ourselves. And of course, if we're realistic, it's hopeless to be there on a reliable basis. So allow yourself to see. Can you be compassionate? Can you allow yourself to remember that it's impossible to always be love, even though our deepest yearning is to love you as if you're me, to tenderly be interested in your suffering, to forgive you when you violate me. Something inside our ego reacts, it contracts, it withdraws, and then we're fallen from grace. Can we muster up forgiveness, compassion, tenderness for our fall? Can we keep the light of our awareness on ourselves rather than the other? Can we. Can we have the miraculous presence to not fall prey to blaming the other for our closed heart? And of course, the answer to that is no, we can't do that reliably either. However, we can return to that aspiration. Allow yourself to feel that aspiration now. I want to forgive myself when I can become aware that my heart has fallen away into an egoic reaction, a resistance, an anger, a withdrawal, a judgment, a fear, an anxiety. I want to tenderly, may I tenderly forgive myself, accept myself as much as possible. May I remember that my energy is the source of my experience. And I don't want to stay with blaming the other. I don't want to stay with blaming myself. May I return to this tender, compassionate forgiveness, the sorrow that I can't be in the light on a reliable basis and understand the paradox that the more I can remember that my true essence is the light and I will fall, and it's okay that I fall. It's mandatory that I fall. I don't know anybody that hasn't fallen lots. The question is, can I have. Can we have the humility to return to the awareness that yes, I'm the light when I'm turned on, when I'm graced. And yes, I fall from the light. And I don't want to justify it, and I don't want to condemn it. I want to be, I ask, to be in a state of forgiveness, kindness and compassion. And I wish that for everyone around me I wish that when every one of us falls from the light that we can recognize I have fallen from the light I can't find my heart I can't find my love and that's okay As a matter of fact it's courageous and heroic to take that level of responsibility that my heart is closed and I can hold myself with my palms open hold yourself now as you see how much you have fallen and will fall again and that you stay in the prayer May I hold myself in great tenderness as I fall from love As I fall from grace May tenderness hold me so I can be available for the next burst of light for the next burst of being moved for the next burst of responding to a need Outside me or inside me May I be available May I be in the state of forgiveness so I'm available for the light for my heart for my soul to come through when it's ready to come through.
