TRUST, Guided Meditation

A guided meditation that settles you into your breath while an internal voice repeats 'I trust you.' It names fear, anger, and sadness, then asks how you might become more trustworthy to yourself.
As you drop into this moment, just sense how your body feels in whatever way you're sitting or standing or lying or sense the breath flowing tight, hear the sounds for a few seconds, just to become sensitive to what's happening now and let your attention hear a trust, a quality of trust that is saying to you in an easy way, I trust you. I trust you exactly as you are now. What does that mean? What it means is I'm adding peace, I'm wanting you to relax. I, the most essential part of you, am sending you a quality of ease, of encouragement to just relax with what is. And this trust also is encouraging you to just be open to what is actually happening in your internal experience. So just trust. If you're afraid, let yourself experience a quality of trust that says, it's okay, I can be with you, it's alright for you to be afraid if you're angry. The trust allows you to have a container to experience the anger and allows you to not have to act it out. The trust allows you to have the courage to face yourself, to sense yourself, to know yourself more intimately. Just knowing that there's this voice that's saying, I trust you, I'm rooting for you, I'm behind you, I'm with you. Allows you, allows us to just be with ourselves as we really are. Add to this the paradox which is a part of trust is asking what's necessary to be trustworthy. And so this inquiry of what do I need to do? How do I need to be, to be more and more trustworthy enhances the trust. It's a partnership between trust, heart, your heart, being with you, and your curiosity. What do I need to be aware of? How do I need to act in the world to be more and more trustworthy? What a glorious partnership. The sweetness of trust being sent from your soul, from your heart to you now. And this perpetual question in these next interactions, in these next moments, even in these next thoughts, what's needed to allow me to be even more trustworthy? See if you can just enjoy the voice coming to you. I trust you as you are. You can be anxious as much as you need to be anxious. You can be angry as much as you're angry, you can be sad or hurt. And what thoughts are needed, what prayers are needed, what actions are needed, what insights are needed to become really worthy of expanding trust? With these two elements of descending trust and inquiring into what would allow trust to keep deepening, we're entering the essence, the heart and soul, of who we are.
