Namaste. In this video, we are going to practice 3 powerful breathing techniques. Make sure you sit in a comfortable position. If you cannot sit on the mat, you can sit on the chair, but your spine should be erect, your shoulders are back and looking forward. Make sure this is the position you have to maintain. The first one we'll practice is Kapalabhati. Kapalabhati is a kriya which influences on our respiratory system, has many benefits. To practice Kapalabhati, place your both hands on your knees. You just have to exhale. You have to exhale forcefully from your abdomen. Observe me. So you have to repeat this for 10 times. Let's do this for 10 times. Keep your eyes closed and exhale completely from your abdomen. Active exhalation and passive inhalation.
Relax. We'll repeat again.
Relax. Slowly open your eyes. The next breathing technique, the next pranayama, the important pranayama we are going to practice is Anuloma Viloma Pranayama. Which is also called as Nadi Shodhana. To practice Nadi Shodhana Pranayama, you have to adopt Nasika Mudra. Close your index finger and middle finger with your right hand. Use your right hand. Your left hand is rested on your left knee. Use your right hand. Use your right hand thumb and close your right nostril. Do not press your right nostril. Just close your right nostril gently.
Inhale from your left.
By using your ring finger and little finger, close your left nostril and open your right and exhale from your right nostril.
Inhale from your right, close your right and exhale from your left nostril.
Release your hand. So you have to close your right first, inhale from your left and close your left and exhale from opposite. And simultaneously inhale from the same nostril, close your the nostril which you have inhaled and exhale from opposite nostril. So we will repeat this for 5 times. Sit comfortably, spine erect. Close your right nostril.
Inhale from your left. Close your left. Exhale from your right.
Do it slowly, as slow as possible. Inhale slowly and exhale slowly.
Inhale from your right, close your right. Exhale from your left. Inhale from your left. Close your left. Exhale from right. Inhale from right. Close your right. Exhale from your left. Inhale from left. Close your left. Exhale from your right. Inhale from your right, close your right. Exhale from your left. Inhale from your left, close your left. Exhale from your right.
Slowly release your hand. And open your eyes. This is a beautiful breathing, beautiful pranayama. The last one we'll do is Bhastrika, Brahmari breathing. Sorry, Brahmari. Brahmari is a black honeybee. So to perform Brahmari, a small change, we'll close our ears with our both hands. Like, use your index finger to close your small ears. So how to do this? So you have to, while exhaling, you have to make honeybee sound. We will do this for 3 times. Close your small ears. Close your eyes. Back straight, neck straight.
Inhale. Inhale. Inhale. Observe the vibrations.
Slowly release your hands and open your eyes. The vibrations goes to your brain and reaches to every cell of your body. These are very, very powerful breathings, help you to improve your respiratory system and many other benefits. I hope you like this video.
