Namaste, I am Badrinath. Today I have with me June. She's from Trinidad and Tobago. She's a housewife, 46 years old, and after joining this Conscious Breathing Hub, she could able to manage her fatigue, headaches, chronic anemia, and body pains. Today it's my pleasure to interview, uh, June, and congratulations for taking the step forward. So June, So I wanted to really understand what were the challenges you were facing before registering the workshop.
Okay, well, I was diagnosed with lupus in 2012, and that consumed my life for many, many years. I had lots of problems. I had vision problems. I had chronic anemia. I had body pains, fatigue, lots of headaches, nausea. A list, a list goes on and on. But I had trouble as a result of all that. I had trouble sleeping, I had trouble focusing, I had a constant feeling of anxiety and fear, and that basically put me in a dark place emotionally. I think mentally as well, because many times I thought about, you know, giving up on life, basically, so to speak. And yeah, those are basically my challenges.
Yeah, even I saw your message you wrote to me one day, like, uh, so your breathing class is a blessing to me, and I was in a position to give up my life. I, I constantly getting those thoughts. But later after that, when you sent me the other message that like you are able to like see these changes after doing, uh, after practicing for a few months, so I felt like, uh, great, uh, like, so, you know, like I would, I could able to like at least, uh, help you to manage your problems, right?
Yes.
So, like, I wanted to know, how has participating in a breathwork program transformed your life? Can you describe some positive changes you have experienced?
Sure. Participating in the program really opened my mind. It was very enlightening. I started accepting myself for who I became after illness. And I basically sort of found ways through your programs to try to overcome those issues. And some of the positive changes I've seen within myself, I've become a more calm person, much more happy and relaxed. I can say I can focus better now, I can sleep better. And basically I've become much more excited about life.
Wow, that's awesome. So, uh, what really motivated you to commit to the coaching program despite of challenges you are facing? Like the challenges you said, like the list goes on, and, uh, despite of those challenges, and how did you maintain your focus, determination throughout the process?
Okay, well, somewhere deep within myself, I knew I had to change that way of being, that way of thinking, basically. And then I came across your program. And I mean, it was challenging at first for me because of the time differences, the time zones and all that. But as the days went by, I realized that the classes were exactly what I needed. I was, I was learning what I needed to know. What I was missing somewhere before, and that sort of kept me, well, sticking with it for as long as I have and will continue to. So yeah, that is basically how I maintain my focus. And well, each day and each class that I attended, I learned something new. Your information was very educational, um, your techniques were very well explained, And the demonstrations were a great help as well. So yeah, I began feeling motivated, I began feeling better about myself, I was able to maintain the focus. And well, those fruit meditations of yours are really, really awesome.
Great, great. So that's truly inspiring, right? So you are, uh, even though the time zones are different, you could able to manage and attend all that, most of the sessions. And complete the challenge and all those things. It's truly inspiring. So that's, that is what shows, dear friends, when you commit and practice, you will surely get the results. There is no way that you don't get the results because you're fighting, you're showing that you are committed to the process, you're committed to the practice, and you have a strong why, why you wanted to overcome these problems. Right, so it's very, very important for you all to succeed in your life. You just come to the program and if you don't attend properly and if you don't complete the task which is given, and then you don't— you can't expect the results. So she has continuously joined and practiced along with me, then she found the results. So June, what advice would you give to others who are struggling with health issues And consider— and considering you have tried and practiced the breathing sessions and the challenges which we have given to you.
Okay, well, I would definitely recommend trying the breathwork because I, in my view, it is a good tool in maintaining health. It reduces your stress, it helps you to sleep better, your immune functions I think are improved also. And the calmness you feel actually whilst doing the practice itself is really, really amazing. And I feel grounded and sort of balanced after doing those practices, especially the meditations and the breathwork. And I really believe that breathwork can help everybody, especially those who are suffering with tinnitus.
True, true, very true. So the only thing is they just have to take the action.
Yes.
Okay, my next question for you is, can you share a specific moment or experience during your healing journey that deeply impacted you and reinforced your belief in its effectiveness?
Sure. Well, actually, there was a certain day I was feeling really, really unwell. I had headache, nausea, and all that. But I attended the session anyways. We did breathwork and meditation on that day, and after doing that session, I felt completely fine. I had energy, I was able to carry on with the rest of my day, and I didn't have any headache or any bad feelings anymore. So I think the session really, really helped. So I knew from that day that whenever I'm feeling unwell or something, I should probably try Breathwork or meditation.
Okay, okay. So basically you were facing like, uh, some of the health challenges like headache and sleeplessness and, uh, emotions and all those things. And then, uh, uh, you want— you practiced the breathwork as well as the meditations. So that's how you found it like relief. So then you started continuing and practicing more and more and Okay, so that's great, great to know. And June, how, how has the support and guidance provided by the instructor, which means me, played a role in your healing process?
Okay, well, with your guidance, I was able to look within myself and evaluate my situation. Um, we had some moments of self-reflections in the classes, in the sessions, And that really helped me to become aware of what I was going through and what I needed for my transformation and my healing process. And I felt really comfortable in those sessions, and that really, really helped a lot also.
Okay, great, great. So basically, like, you are able to understand what is going within you.
Yes.
So you know what is going within your house, but You don't know what is going within you, so you are able to reflect and understand what is going within you. So that's great, like, right? So everyone, you know what is happening in your house, but you don't know what is happening within your house, real house. So the temple, yes, right? Yeah. So, uh, and, uh, June, what aspects of breathwork program do you believe are essential for achieving the success and overcoming the health challenges?
Okay, well, in my view, I think the breathwork could be most important, followed by the meditation practices. The yoga nidra is also beneficial to me at least because it helps me sleep better. And I think, well, yoga asanas also beneficial because it kind of helps you in keeping the body flexible, which you need. Because I mean, you can't have a flexible mind and the body is stiff. I don't think it may work that way. So yes, those are aspects for me are the most essential.
That's awesome. And, uh, have you witnessed any changes in your mindset or emotional well-being as a result of practicing, uh, breathing classes, or after joining into our community?
Yes, I have. Um, my quality of life has definitely improved in a positive way. My life has definitely been impacted by the yoga philosophy and those things that I learned in the 21-day challenge. And now instead of reacting to things that will get me angry I try to respond instead. I try to think about how it will affect my health and my well-being. And so I think I have become a better person because of it. I'm much, much more able to cope with stressful situations in a calm and positive way.
Okay, so basically now you stopped— like, you are trying to respond to the situation, not to react to the situations. And also you are applying the philosophy which you have learned into your life, and you are getting more calmer, you mean, right? Great, that's a great achievement. That's very difficult to control your mind, you know. It's very easy to do whatever you want with your body, but you cannot do whatever you want with your mind. So June, looking back at your journey, What message would you like to share with others who may be facing the similar health issues, and how can they find hope and strength to overcome their own challenges?
Okay, well, I would— my advice to anyone who is going through anything, whether it be health challenges or otherwise, is never give up on yourself because help might come to you in unexpected ways. I think you need to also look towards the universe and the Creator and believe that everything is going to work for your benefit. Um, you also need to like give up thoughts of negativity and self-harm and try to adopt a positive attitude. And basically, I believe that anyone can overcome if they really try, they really put their minds to it.
True. That's all. So like, see, like anyone can overcome, as June said. Yes, only when you implement the knowledge. You have to find a guide first and try to implement and try to have a mindset of healing and completely surrender to the process which your mentor is saying. Then for sure you are going to get the results, 100% results. With how June has able to manage her problems, everyone in this world, you can able to manage your problems. But it's only thing is you have to take action to manage them. You have to implement the knowledge, not just by listening, by implementing into your lifestyle, making those changes, small, small changes into your lifestyle, and finding a teacher who can guide you, show you the path which will really shorten your journey and reduce your expenses towards the medicines. So June, so previously you are facing some health challenges. How much were you spending, uh, like, uh, to visit the doctors or for medicines or anything like Do you see any changes in your, like, the cost of spending money before and now?
Okay, well, I have stopped some medication, so that is okay. But I still visit the doctor just to make sure that everything is under control. So yeah, I could say definitely that my medication cost has decreased. Somewhat, and that is very good on my part because, I mean, spending all that money on medicines is not right in my view.
True, true, true, true. So this is June's journey, and, uh, if you also want to like be like June and, uh, yeah, again This is June's journey. I hope you all got a lot of inspiration from this call. So the reason of doing this call is to understand between the lines how she was able to implement and how she could able to overcome her problems, right? So you also have an opportunity to solve your problems and lead a happy and fulfilling life. It's not about surviving the life, it's about living the life. Don't make your health challenges to stop to live a fulfilled life. So with this, thank you so much. See you all again.
