Satsang with Guruma Hansa Ji

In this live satsang, Guruma Hansa (Hansa Ma) delivers an extensive teaching on the five koshas—Annamaya (the food sheath), Pranamaya (the breath sheath), Manomaya (the mind‑emotion sheath), Vijnanamaya (the knowledge sheath), and Anandamaya (the bliss sheath). She explains how disciplined eating, mindful hydration, and structured breathing support the physical and subtle bodies, and how emotions such as guilt and anger disturb health. Practical routines are offered: four‑times‑daily meals with specific water‑drinking windows, breath‑counting exercises, and a simple breathing‑only practice for emotional regulation. She stresses the impermanent nature of the material world, the need for scientific inquiry, and the importance of quiet meditation to access inner consciousness. The session includes a Q&A where she advises a 16‑year‑old on releasing guilt and a participant on controlling anger, followed by gratitude expressions from the audience and reflections from moderator Badrinath Gella on commitment and mission‑first values.

to the universal soul. My consciousness connected to universal consciousness. So through my consciousness, I am connected to the whole world, entire universe. So now, to analyze this, first we will have to go from gross to subtle. There is another theory that we are made up of 5 sheets, 5 layers. The first layer, external layer, is called as Annamayakosha. Annamayakosha, the layer which is developed with food, the type of food, because food is our life. Food is Annam Brahman. Food is consciousness also. So somehow we have to understand that anna is very important. We are supposed to eat and we should have some understanding about food, that there has to be an organized way of eating. Eating 4 times in a day. Every time you eat, next time when you get hungry, you should be really hungry. If you are not hungry, it means you are not ready for food. Food. Your body is not ready for food. We are giving food to our body. Body means body, mind together. So there has to be some discipline. Yoga is a path of discipline. Yoga tells you that there has to be some system, no? So in body, in food, in body, the food what we put in The external food goes into our system, and in our system it becomes blood. It goes to every part of our body, giving all the nutrition. So the external food which is there, it is like suppose I am cutting a vegetable. So when you cut the vegetable, you don't see anything. It's not— no pain or anything, no life there. It is something which has no life. But when it goes to your body, it becomes life. It gives you life. So our body is such a miraculous thing, I tell you, that when things go from outside in, that becomes life, that becomes part of your living. And so we should respect all the external things, the vegetables, the fruits, The grains what we are eating, all these stuffs, and all the sweet things like sugar, jaggery, honey, these are all sweet products which are all there from the earth, earth, and we are getting all these things and they are available when we are born. They were there, we are living, they are there after we go away, still they'll be there. So the moment we are born, God keeps everything ready for us to celebrate life. And so understand that these things when we use, consume, we should be disciplined. How much should I eat only to satiate my hunger? Not more than that. I should be hungry when I eat, and I should eat only that much which would satisfy my hunger. Once hunger is satiated, I should stop eating. I'll give you an example. There was one man who was carrying grain in bags from one place to another place in a bullock cart, and the bullock was pulling the whole luggage. And it happened that one bag fell down. Bullock cart went further. He doesn't even know that one bag has fallen down. The bag fell down and all the grains were spread on the ground. So all the birds from all over started coming And they started picking up those grains. They picked up the grains, but how much? Something which remains in their mouth, no, not collecting. Only that much they ate and they flew away. So many birds from all sides came. They took little, little grains and they went away. But then one man saw that, human being, and the man came. 'Oh, so much of grain.' He started collecting everything, and he started collecting and filled his bags. Now, the whole problem with humans is that they want more and more and more, and that's where we fail. That in nature, everybody gets his food. Only that more and more wanting should stop. Everybody would be fed. God gives everything. Everything is available, but we should not be greedy, holding, amassing, and then not bothering about whether others get the food or not. This tendency, yoga says, has to be taken care of. Remove that tendency. Don't have that anxiety that tomorrow what will happen. If today you got everything, by nature tomorrow also things will come. Have faith, understand? So this entire— when we talk about Annamayakosha, we have to see from all sides. We have to see that that kosha makes our body, so my mind also should be accordingly. In mind we should have santosh, contentment. In mind, we should feel that, thank God, I have food to eat today. Thank you very much for my food. No, it's a very nice poem, a prayer which we use when we sit to eat. And we should understand that it's not putting food into our body. In our stomach, there is a fire burning. That fire is like Yagna. The food goes into that and gives you all the strength and energy and gives all that which life needs. And so doing that Swaha, when we eat food, when the fire is there and people do puja, you know, they put the grains in fire. In the same way, we are putting it. Chew them well, put the food inside well, and thank God. Swaha. That has to happen. And we should enjoy every morsel thoroughly well and thank that person who has made food for us and that person who has cooked the food for us. So there should be always a positive and joyful atmosphere. If suppose there is no salt in your dal, you don't have to shout for that. You can eat dal without salt also, or you can ask for salt, put the salt and eat it. There is no negativity around it. When you cook something, when you are busy doing so many things, something you may miss, some mistakes may occur. That is natural phenomenon. But then you learn from your mistakes and next time be careful. But there is no need of bringing negativity into it. So there should be a strict discipline that when you sit to eat, you should be happy, you should be praising, you should enjoy every morsel and take it like a celebration. Thank you, God. So that's how our annamayakosha is made. Then the second layer is prana. You all are learning prana, dealing with prana, the breath, the energy from the universe coming to us. What is there in the universe? The energy, prana. All the planets are moving. Without energy, planets cannot move. There has to be a prana to move the energy. Earth is moving on its axis, moving around. All this is happening. When you look up, you will feel that what a huge universe is. But then there is an activity going on. That's when there is a person who dies, there is no activity because prana is gone. That prana which we call is called soul consciousness, directly connected to prana. And that prana is connected to your body, is connected to your mind. As the breath, so the mind. You breathe fast, fast, fast. In your mind also, the thoughts will come. Mind's job is to think, so mind will go on thinking. So the breath and mind— chale vāte chalam cittam nishchale dishchalam bhavet— is the shloka which says that vāt and chitta, mind, they go together. If vāt becomes peaceful, quiet, shanta, Even chitta will become peaceful, quiet, and sharp. You can't control your mind, but you can control your breath. So breath has to be there with you. When person's breath is less, low and low, person's energy is low. A person's everything— your digestion becomes low, your circulation becomes lower, heartbeat has no strength to pump more. Energy has to be high. For that, Annamayakosha is equally important. Through Anna you get prana, life force. For living you need food, water, and air. So food, Annamayakosha, through food, even water has to be understood. That we, how much? Practically 78% we are made up of water. When we talk about food, we have to talk about water also. That there should be some system about water. Our body has its own language to offer. Body tells you, you are thirsty. So you drink water. Body tells you you are hungry, so you eat food. This is body language. You should listen to your body's language. Somebody else's? No. Your body. Because individually, we all are separate individuals, sample by ourselves. So Body, water, they go. So whenever you are thirsty, you drink water. But in yoga, we have made a system. When our mind is too much occupied, no, with various thoughts, what happens is you are thirsty but you forget to listen to your body. Like, you continue your work. You are hungry, you hardly don't keep aside hunger. And let me finish my work. This is how you ignore your body language. And that mistake, never do. Never do. Learn to respect your body. Learn to uplift your body. Learn to understand that body has something to tell you. And if you don't listen, body will be in trouble. And if body will be in trouble, all your celebration will be gone. If you have pain and ache in body, you have diseases in body, problems in body. That what is celibacy? No celibacy, you can't enjoy life. Keeping all that in mind, you must understand that water has a very big role to play. When you drink water, it is like from the universe, the water is coming to you. It's like a Ganga River, water is flowing pure, nice, water. And when you drink water, that nice feeling should be there, a feeling of peace, contentment, satisfaction, and blissful state. That should come when you drink water. Don't drink water in a hurry, good, good, good, good, and finish. Never do that. Sit. And as we sit and eat food, in the same way, as far as possible, sit and eat water, drink water. But you have to stand, then also take it peacefully, with a peaceful mind, putting every sip nicely into your throat to see that it soothes your entire system, calms down your entire system, cleans your entire system. Water's job is to clean, to remove toxins from the system, and that has to be done peacefully. If you are doing it hurriedly, you add more toxins to your body. If water is shaken up, turbid, that turbid water can't be heard, tracked. So allow the water to settle down. That mud has to settle down. Then only you can drink that water. It's very, very clear. So keeping that in mind, we should see that yoga gives this discipline. Yoga says that the moment you wake up, drink a glass of water first. First move your tongue all around inside to see that all the saliva is collected. Saliva is alkaline in nature. So when you move your tongue, you feel saliva coming in your mouth. Then gulp that saliva peacefully to make alkaline level of your body. Could be alkaline. And then drink a glass, a small little glass of water. Glass of warm water. It should be a rule. The moment you wake up, you should do this. And then before eating food is another time. Half an hour before your food, you should drink a glass of water. And 2 hours after your food, you should drink a glass of water. So this is how— make a system. Otherwise we forget in our life. And then at night before going to bed, again drink little warm water. When you drink warm water, it will not make you urinate at night. Otherwise people have to get up very often to pass urine. But if you drink warm water and sip by sip, You will not have excess urine. There is no risk, but you should drink water. And water goes with every meal also. When you eat food, you know, we have dal, so there is water inside. Vegetable also, water is there inside. Certain vegetables have more water. And then we have buttermilk in the afternoon. Curd water, make it into a thin charged buttermilk and drink a glass of that also. So that has to be there. Buttermilk should go in your body because it has lactobacillus enzyme. It helps your body to bring proper nutrients, absorb nutrients well. So that your blood is much richer and healthier. So keep all these things in mind. And all 4 meals, some liquid is there, so that way water still goes in our body. So roughly 8 to 10 glass of water per day automatically goes. You don't have to count. As far as possible, after 5 o'clock, Don't drink unnecessary water unless you are thirsty, and whenever you are drinking, drink peacefully and nicely. So these rules keep in mind along with food. So we go further. Pranamaya Kosha. In prana, you have to become aware about your breath. Every time you should watch your breath. So here also in yoga we say that prana, how much you are breathing in and how much you are breathing out, watch. If you are breathing in for 2 seconds and breathing out for 4-5 seconds, watch it and then make it equal so that you become alert and aware about your breath. So breathe in for 2 seconds and breathe out also for 2 seconds. So breathe in, 1, 2, and then breathe out, 1, 2. Again, breathe in, 1, 2, and then breathe out, 1, 2. Go on doing this and you will notice that in 2 seconds also you breathe more and more. The volume of air which is going into your body is automatically larger, more volume. We use only one-third capacity of our lungs. Rest of the lungs we don't use also. So it is very, very essential to see that you breathe correctly and then slowly, slowly, fully. Automatically volume should be more. So keep all these things in mind and learn to breathe well. In yoga, we say— rather, I usually say— that become more alert about your breath because you have to control your mind. Mind makes or breaks. Mind takes you to the best thing, or mind takes you to the worst thing. Your mind. And so that we will talk, but the point is here we should become aware of our breath. So everyone put a sign in your clock, in your watch, to give you a signal, ting ting or something, and you remember that you have to take one long breath. So take one long breath and breathe out also equally long, long, long. That's all. Every hour if you do this, you will see the difference in all your bodily problems and weaknesses and your health. But form such habit. You have to put this effort to remember and take one long breath, and rest of the time breath is doing its job. Because breath functions consciously or unconsciously. Consciously when you are taking a long breath or equalizing your breath, and unconsciously it's going on. Breath is going on. When you run, breathing is running fast. When you are slow breathing, it's slow that you don't have to interfere. Your body is very, very self-sufficient. So do that. Yes, so breathing, pranamayakosha. I am talking about levels. The third level comes after prana is manomayakosha, mind, mana. In mana, we have two things. One is our intellect, the way in which we think, analyze, understand, and another are emotions. We are made up of emotions. We are born with emotions. Our birth is from the happy state that we are born. But of course, we are made to cry to open up our lungs. That's a different matter. Doctors do that. But then children know how to be happy with little, little things around. They don't need big toys. We are born and we should be always happy. But this emotion, when that happy state goes away, Why? Somebody behaved rudely, somebody insulted you, somebody didn't do the work as you wanted him to do. Yeah, your happy state goes away. Then what happens? Yogis have gone into details. Then what happens? The moment your happy state is gone, your balance of your body is gone. So mind supersedes body. Mentally, if you are not happy, body also will not be happy. Body also will— all the internal organs of our body would be disturbed. And so what will happen? Your body will not function as it should function. Your digestion, whatever food you have eaten, body will not convert food into energy. Body will eat food as it is, store the food, or throw it out. When body stores the food, you have all the storage diseases, like fat is stored, so externally you start putting on weight, or internally your cholesterol goes high, blockages occur in arteries, arteries get weakened, and so on. What is stored? Glucose, carbohydrate getting converted to glucose. So diabetes sets in. So your heart diseases are on the way, diabetes is on the way. See all the diseases. And you have eaten some protein, some dal, something. So body will not convert it into anything. But dal, protein gets converted into peptides, amino acid, energy. Body doesn't convert. So amino acids are there. So muscles become tight, joints come close, more wear and tear on joints. So neck pain and back pain and knee pain and heel pain, all pain starts. Arthritis condition sets in. See what is happening to your body. Why? Because somebody behaved rudely or somebody spoke lies. And then body throws the food out. So deficiencies come— iron deficiency, anemic condition, calcium deficiency, vitamin D3, B12. You must have heard, no, all these deficiencies. When you get your blood tested, some of the deficiencies also are seen. Because body doesn't absorb anything out. And above all, your nervous system gets rattled because you are not happy. So mainly your nerves, your mind gets disturbed. So what happens? Your concentration becomes poor, your memory becomes poor. Very often you hear, 'No, I can't remember anything.' Concentration is poor. If you can't concentrate, memory will not be there. And so your reasoning power— what is right, what is wrong— that becomes zero. So persons start behaving like animals. We are superior than animals because of our buddhi, intellect. But then we start behaving like animals. So one shouts and you shout back. One is rude, you are rude. One says, 'I hate you.' You say, 'Where do I love you? I hate you from bottom of my heart.' And this is how the life starts. Do you think this is the way we should live our life? So it's very, very clear that we have to train our minds. Somebody is rude because he may be having some reason to be rude. He doesn't— he can't see good in you. It's his problem, not your problem. Why should you get hurt? Why are you expecting anything from someone? Someone is different, you are different. You are what you are. Someone is his nature, his habits, his inherited tendency, his experiences of life. All these things are different than what you have. What is right for you may not be right for him. What hurts you may help him. So this is how life goes about. So we get into Do you think we should suffer because of somebody? We should take a decision that from today onwards I don't want to suffer because of anybody in life. We are supposed to see that we understand that I'm different, he's different. He has all the right to think as he wants to think or behave as he wants to behave. I just enjoy him. He is rude, how nice. Thank you, you speak so nice. You can do that, no? Rather than getting hurt. What do you say? You can do that or no? If you take a decision in life that I have nothing to do with anybody's behavior or anything, I expect nothing. Then you are not suffering. But otherwise you will suffer with everybody. Anybody can make you happy, anybody can make you unhappy, anybody can make you cry. And then you are not a puppet in the hands of others. You take charge of yourself. You are what you are, and you should love yourself, respect yourself, and celebrate life. This is how it should be. So mana that, that koś. Mana, this side it is prana, and then anna. Anna may koś, prana may koś, mano may koś. So once this understanding occurs, mana, then there is another koś which is called vijñāna may koś. Vijñāna means vishal jñāna, larger understanding, knowledge. Knowledge about life, the larger understanding about life, that what is life, what is living, how we are supposed to move ahead in life. And that has to be developed. And when you start analyzing things, you don't get hurt by people's behavior or anything. That analysis is a scientific mind. It is, in other words, called a scientific something which has to be understood first before believing it. Don't just believe anything. Somebody says something and you believe. Don't ever do that. You see something, you believe. You hear something and you believe. Don't ever do that. Anything. You see something only at this moment. What is there, you see. What happened, 2 minutes before, you don't know what is going to happen next. You don't know. And how do you just form an opinion that I saw this, so I believe in this, or I heard this, so I believe in this? Don't form such opinions in life. Analyze, understand things are there. And one thing is very, very clear, that this material world is continuously changing. Material world is continuously changeful. Any matter, change is constant. What is today, tomorrow it may not be there. That's the big philosophy in yoga called as anityabhavada, impermanent nature of the universe. Today what is there, tomorrow it may not be there. Even you will notice that nowadays things are going so fast that you visited some place just 5 days before and somebody asks you about that place and you give proper address and proper references that near this, that place is there. But that has changed and that person is searching for that reference, is not finding it. It goes so fast. Same thing doesn't remain. Today somebody loves you, tomorrow he may love you, you don't know. Somebody cooperates with you, tomorrow he may cooperate, he may not. You have no idea. So be prepared for that change. That is the larger science. Change has to occur, but love is Shiva. And so we should be prepared for ourselves. When the change comes. And change, slow, slow changes, we have no problem at all. A child is born, child slowly, slowly grows, then grows into a childhood, and then, you know, young age, and then adulthood. That change we accept it. That is also a change. What we think in our childhood and now what we think is definitely different. How we look in childhood, now how we look, definitely different. Change is continuously happening in our body, in our thinking, everywhere. There we don't react. But in certain areas we react. And react very badly. Now you love me and that's it. Now don't think of not loving me. Or you cooperate with me, or you are my friend. Now this and that. Certain things where we feel comfortable, we don't want that thing to change. But things will change. Be prepared. Show your pains, show your sufferings also. If you are suffering, you should know that this too shall pass. A very big philosophy that this time also will pass. So I don't have to get so much disturbed about Why my business is not running? Come on, it will change. Or if it is running very nicely, I'm relaxed. Don't— you should be doing your duty every day in life. Attending to your business properly and being aware and alert has to be done. Things don't happen on auto mode. You have to make it. There is a joke about it, no, that a man is asked from where the milk comes. So somebody says, from cow. Cow gives milk. But the cow doesn't give milk. You have to take out milk from cow. You have to put your effort, no. We just talk like that, cow gives milk. Milk is there, but your effort, your effort also is there. So never stop your effort. Change is there, accept the change, but put your effort and see that you make your life much better with change. Change always does good in life. All your rigidity is gone because of change. Person whose thinking is very large, open, that consciousness, you know, you are open to the world. And then finally, the fifth level: Annamayakosha, Pranamayakosha, Manomayakosha, Vigyanmayakosha, and then Anandamayakosha. That is the fifth final level, and that is your consciousness. That Ananda is within us, that God is within us, that consciousness is within us. We are made up of all these things. We are supposed to be in the Ananda state. That is possible if we have understood all these other areas of our body. So to experience Ananda, we have to go within ourselves to understand deeper into ourselves. So when I started with my talk that we are made up of body, mind, and soul, this soul which is there within us, we have to be closer to that soul. Be Gyan and then Ananda. So be Gyan when we start seeing things little differently, we are disturbed because of some situation, change suddenly has occurred which I'm not accepting. Go closer to your Ananda state, go closer to your consciousness state. So how would you go closer? By stopping your mind and body. See that you don't get into body-mind complex right now. Be peaceful, quiet, and just sit quietly in the corner to be closer to yourself, closer to your inner self. And that can be done only through meditation. So yoga gives lots of importance to meditation. That don't allow your mind to think. Mind's job is to think, so mind will think. But stop your mind also. Mind also is tired. It needs quietude. We all will feel thinking, thinking, we get so much tired. Physically running around is fine, but thinking, thinking, we get more tired. So try and see that we keep our mind back. Tell your mind, stop thinking for some time, 10 minutes, not more. You have to think to do your work well. Think before doing your action, but switch off. Stop thinking. Thoughts will come. Don't bother about thoughts. They will come, come, and slowly they will not come because you don't have to do any action, so you don't have to think. Don't do action physically also. Sit quietly and just watch your breath. Watching breath, again you are connecting with prana. Watching breath. How it is coming in and out, in and out. Go on watching and you will realize that slowly, slowly thoughts will stop coming and you will be so closer to your consciousness that all this chaos which you felt, I don't know how to go about in my life and all that, you will get an answer. You will get a strength from within. You will get more energy from within because consciousness is all the energy, universal energy. And so you will feel energetic, enthusiastic, and you will then solve your own problem yourself. You will get that thought. Clarity will come. Something is lost. In your house, your key is lost. The main door key is lost somewhere. Now you search, search, search, search, find out, find out where did you go, what did you do, you must have put here and there, think it over. But once that is over and still key is not there, now stop thinking also. Stop thinking. Sit quietly and tell yourself, I usually tell God, I said, God, now I have done my job, now you do your job. So, so I sleep. And next day a thought comes, go watch below, has come back, it's fallen from behind. And you find your key there. Experience. You will experience such miracles happening in life once you are closer to your consciousness state. So life is all that. Just celebrate. Since the time is up, if you now have any questions to ask—
Thank you, thank you so much. Thank you so much, Ma. It was a powerful, powerful disclosure from you. And I think there are so many, so many learnings I think everyone might have taken. From this discussion which we had. And so thank you so much for coming here. And I just want to tell you all, like, Ma had a terrible, like, reaction of dental treatment just yesterday. You can see, you can observe her. But still, in spite of the pain she is going through, she has come here to take session for all of us. She has been speaking for the past 40 minutes continuously. And thank you so much. That shows how how committed you are towards this science. And every time, like, even if I can do 5% of what you have done, right?
I tell you, pain is in the body. You don't have to get so much connected with the body. Mind is there, no? Breath is there, no, with you. So using that, you just do your job. Well, you may not look so fit as if this is swollen here. Doesn't look wise, but that's— that doesn't matter. Body continuously changes and so on. So that's why— now, did you come to know? Somebody told you that?
Yes, this is— I got to know from the team. Yes, yes, thank you, thank you so much, Mom. It means a lot. Like, it shows how committed you are towards what you are doing. And yeah, and also the example you have given, pain is in the body, not in the brain, mind. Like, many people, uh, because they associate with the pain and, uh, they only think about the pain and the pain becomes more rather than—
Where the mind goes, that part becomes active. So it goes in pain, pain, pain becomes more. Very, very clear that mind creates the problems. Both mind can.
Yeah, yeah. I had one question from 16-year-old. Yes, she, um, she's, uh, carrying a lot of guilt from her past. She's saying, she's saying, I'm carrying a lot of guilt from my past and finding it very difficult to move on. I feel I have lost my identity. Earlier I was confident and focused, but now I struggle even to sit, study without overthinking. My mind is completely filled with negative thoughts, suicidal thoughts, and at times it becomes very intense.
Yeah. How can I release So now understand one thing, my dear, that guilt has no place in life. Whatever you do, you are doing according to your intelligence, according to your knowledge. You are doing it and it is always right. You know, if a dog is barking, he's right. You can't expect dog to sing like cuckoo. So you can't say it is wrong. Dog should feel guilty about his barking when people are not there? No. Dog is doing dog's job. So just an example. So understand, whatever we are doing, we should be doing it— think. The rule is very clear. Think before doing any action. You have given a thought and you have done your action. Now whatever action is there, you don't have to depend on the result of the action, that if result is good, you are right. If result is bad, you are wrong. Not at all. Good and bad is all how you perceive it. There is nothing bad in the world. It is always good and more good and more good. Why go to bad? So try and see that first of all remove this thought of guilt from your mind, which is ignorance. You have avidya, ignorance in you that you are feeling guilty. You should never feel guilty. Whatever you have done, you have done. Now if you can learn from whatever you have done, if there is something to learn, learn. And next time you progress. That is why I did some mistake, I learned from my mistake. Next time I will not do the same mistake. But if you do the same mistake again and again, then you are wrong. Then you should feel bad. Learn from your mistake and go ahead in life. So do this and you will be able to progress fast. Why do you say that you can't focus? You can focus. Your mind is there with you, only it is full of guilt. So sit quietly and do the breathing practice. Don't sit in meditation. Meditation would not be right. Do your breathing practice. Watch your breath. See that it is— how it is working. And I gave you the formula. Every 1 hour, take 1 long breath, or in between, equalize your breath and see to it that you are focusing on this. And you will notice you will have good energy to do whatever work you want to do in life. Go ahead, life is in your hand. No guilt at all. Out. Okay.
Awesome, awesome. Thank you. Thank you so much, And the second question, like last question, and I'm not going to ask any question. I'm very angry and I always get anger, so how can I control my anger? That is the second question.
You see, first of all, who gets angry? A person who can't handle the situation, a person who is not accepting the situation. Now, anger reflects that you can't handle the situation lovingly, caringly. So it reflects your ignorance, your weakness. Understand this. Anger reflects your weakness. Anger reflects your incapacity to handle the situation. Anger shows that you don't have the strength to handle situations in life. This is what it reflects. And so don't show the world that you can't handle the situation. Then people will be taking advantage of yours. Don't pamper your anger. Anger is something which reflects you, which puts you down only. If somebody has angered you, he has already won the battle. You have lost the battle. So you do get angry, but no expression of anger. You get angry, inside tell yourself, take 1 or 2 long breaths, settle your mind down. And then once your mind is settled, think that in this situation, instead of getting angry, what will I do? Anger is one of the emotions. There are many other emotions, no? Love is also emotion. Care is emotion. Compassion is emotion. Understanding is emotion. These emotions you use, not the anger. Don't express anger to anybody. That reflects weakness. So keep that in mind and slowly train yourself. When you are angry, keep your mouth shut. Don't open your mouth to speak something. Your hands and legs should be peaceful. Hold them. Your legs also don't use. Rather, in yoga we say there are 5 karmendriyas in our body. Your hand, your legs, your speech. Through word you can hurt others. When you are angry, you shout, you use different words, it hurts others. So these three. And then of course urinary, for urination you have to do your action. And genital organ, reproductive system, you do your action. So these are two actions which are also we have to do. So here these three actions are— we have to keep that in mind. All these curbing reactions should be totally stopped. Mainly hand, legs, and mouth. No movement. And then settle down. Go away from that place which is causing anger if you can. Boss is shouting, you have to just keep quiet. You are angry but keep quiet. So watch your breath. Do your breathing. And then listen to what boss says sincerely and do whatever he says. And saying sorry, being humble is always better than shouting and showing your weakness. So try and see that you take care and don't take anger as your tool to express yourself. Anger expresses weakness only, not strength. A strong person will never get angry, never express anger. Say, okay, okay, I enjoy it. Enjoy all the varieties around. Don't get—
yes, it's awesome, awesome. And one person want to share something like about your session. And thank you, thank you so much. And like quickly, one minute, uh, please go ahead.
Yeah, firstly, please accept the sashtanga koti koti namaskaram from the entire conscious family. I want to say thank you from the heart for such a wonderful insight, enriching experience that you have given. And we want to say thank you again for giving such wonderful guru to us, that is Badrinath Ji. I feel when listening to you, I feel he's just your copy. The way he talks, the way he expresses, the way he wants us to breath. And your knowledge relating to the water, relating to the breath, He has always been telling us, and now I understand from where He has picked it up.
Yes. So, Madrinath is following exactly what he has learnt here. And that's why when He said I should talk, I said, come on, I'm coming. When Madrinath calls me, I'm there. So we are there.
And I want to say thank you, Guru Ma, because listening, you know, it is always wonderful even for Badriji and for people like me to listen from Guru's Guru. I think that is what— that's why they say Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara. Guru Sakshat Para Brahma Tasmai Sri Gurave Namah. That's how I say thank you.
God is our Guru, and then all the knowledge goes on. Yeah, so thank you, thank you, thank you so much.
Please accept your sashtang namaskaram once again from all of us. Thank you, bye-bye.
Thank you, thank you. And also, before Ma leaves, everyone please unmute yourself and express your gratitude. Thank you, say thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you so much, thank you very much! Thank you— Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone. Thank you, thank Thank you, thank you very much, uh, everyone, for your love.
And Ma has to leave and she's also not feeling well, but she has taken— see, see the commitment level, uh, they have, right? So when I see that kind of commitment level, I feel like, uh, so what I am doing is also nothing sometimes, right? Uh, so that is where, like, um, we learn, like, so they always there to take their mission forward. So always my teacher, my mentor also, like another mentor, he also tells our mission has to be first. So because of learning from these kind of people, I, I understood that how important is to work towards a mission, uh, which we have taken up, and how to prioritize our mission irrespective of whatever the challenges, uh, we go through, right? As— and mission first, for me also, like, um, this is where like the values are coming. From there the values are coming— the mission first, community second, and me third. So, so best. And today, and to introduce you, like, introduce her to all of you. And when we went to Mumbai, we had an opportunity to have also meet her on offline. Like, I took all the students from Mumbai. And anyone would like to share anything, any takeaways, raise your hands if you would like to share any takeaways from today's session. How was the session? With Hansa Ma. Go ahead, Naga Veniji.
Good evening, sir.
Good evening.
Thank you very much, very much, very much, very much, sir. Felt very happy on this Thursday. I felt like hearing directly from my Guru, which I love. And because I always go through and see all the videos and all the helps that Ma gives on YouTube, sir. I was feeling always that how, when can I, when can I see her? I didn't even dreamt of it, but today I was really shocked, sir. Well, I was, I saw her on, I don't have these words now how to express my happiness today. Thank you very much, sir. Very much, very much, because I have to be very grateful for you also. Because these are very grateful moments for us in our life. Because seeing that videos is more different than hearing directly. And these all the words, all the koshas that She has explained was so easy for our life to take into. And that anger is the most thing that today what Ma has given us, the words about that anger and everything. We have to implement, sir. That's all is in our hands only. We have to implement. Thank you. Thank you very much, sir, because I'm feeling very happy today. And even my grandson has to tell you thank you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. So thank you, Naiwayaniji. And yes, it's like anger. Like, see, like, um, it's about training ourselves. So yoga is a path, so right, whatever we are learning, breathwork, anger, like, or the practices which we do, that is the highest goal. That is what we have to achieve. That is the state of mind we have to achieve. That is the kind of control we need to achieve through our mind. So we only look into the external things. We only look into our external diseases, external reports. But all our external, uh, like, uh, things which you see, whatever you see here, are the representation of our internal things, right? So all our invisible— visible problems, whatever visible problems you, you see, are due to our invisible problems. So we have to address those invisible problems. Even now, like, when I keep hearing and hearing and hearing, like, I also see, like, okay, no Now I have improved to 20%, how can I make it 30%? So don't think that like, okay, you heard this today and tomorrow you're going to become like all right. But you have to put that into action. While you're putting that into action, you will get a lot of challenges, a lot of challenges. So please, you have to make sure that you're consistently, constantly consuming this kind of information, positive information in your life. That's why I hope all of you understand Like now, how Wednesday Wisdom Sessions are— how important role they play. How many of you agree? So what I take in the— during the IIM Ahmedabad membership, Wednesday Wisdom Sessions, the role of Wednesday Wisdom Sessions. I know, I know how it impacted me on— in my life. I've been practicing asanas for so many years, from my engineering second year onwards. It was for the past like 20, 20 2009, 2011 onwards I have been practicing, but I never understood the essence of yoga. I only understood, okay, like tree pose, that pose, this pose, this exercise, that exercise, but that did not make me the better person, better human being. I was not conscious about the environment, I was not conscious about anything. So whatever she has spoke, but once I understood the wisdom behind whatever we are doing Then this made all— all this made real sense. All this made real sense. This is what really inspired me to take this forward. Otherwise, if it is asana, pranayama, there are so many people are teaching. But the goal, highest goal I have set for all of you is this: to like, no one can disturb your peace, no one can make you angry. I cannot say I have achieved I am also in the process by keep on repeating those again and again and again and again, hearing those again and again and again and again. We are living in a normal society. We are having these patterns from so many years. It cannot be changed immediately. It cannot be changed immediately. It takes a lot of time for all of us to change those patterns, the way we think. Though we know that this is wrong, but we sometimes we forget that what we are doing is wrong and we keep doing it. And but when you realize, even after making the mistake, if you realize, that is the first step towards becoming the best version of yourself, achieving that. Even after making mistake, if you are not realizing, then there's no way people can help you. Like, you still need to work a lot, a lot. Today children do not know like what they wanted to become. And they are like, they are going through a lot of stress, a lot of challenges in their life, and parents also do not know how to guide apart from academic side, right? So this is what happening, and I think this is the most important thing, takeaways which we need to make sure that, uh, we are implementing. Then only you can see the power of this. Meditation, how many of you remember, right? So which she has discussed. So why I have to read meditation and all of this? Right, and before I go to Ramachandranji, I just wanted to show you the schedules of the sessions because I want all of you— like today again we have chakra healing session, 8:30 we have chakra healing. Do not miss that session, it's a very, very powerful chakra healing we are going to do today. And tomorrow morning— today morning we had done yoga for pranic activation where we worked on joints and also did Shivaratri sadhana. How was the session today? Type it in chat box. And tomorrow we are going to work on the spinal activation. That's the reason we have chakras right now, and tomorrow we are going to work on the spine. So, and Shivaratri sadhana, and day after tomorrow, like means the 14th February morning, 6 to 7 AM, no recordings will be available. Yoga for 5 elements, and 15th February meditative yoga and Shivaratri sadhana. This is what we are going to have. And yesterday we had Vedic healing session, today we had a special session with Hansama, and today we are also going to have a session on session on chakra healing as well. And tomorrow we are going to have a session with Dr. Murthy from US. He's from US, he's joining from US. From Vishwa to Amrita: How Fasting Awakens the Body's Healing Power in Chronic Diseases. People who are having chronic diseases, how we can— how fasting can help in scientific way. He's a doctor, he's going to talk about the scientific way. As you all know, Mahashivaratri people does fasting Many people do fasting, so now this session will help you all to understand why we are doing that. And tomorrow evening again we have prana healing yoga nidra session after this. And day after tomorrow we have a session on womb to union. You all know 14th February is also Valentine's Day. And, uh, the— why do we celebrate Shivaratri? It's a marriage of Shiva and Parvati. Yes, so that's why. And also it's 14th, is also Valentine's. We are going to have a session on Shiva Shakti Love Activation, how we can activate Shiva Shakti Love in ourselves, by Aravind. He's going to do. And we are also going to have a Diamond Launch. On that day, you will be having an opportunity to gain this wisdom consistently, like gain this wisdom what Ma has taught. I cannot teach that in 2 months or 1 month on Silver, dear friends, because there is something which we have to follow in Silver. So if you are— for that, we need a longer commitment from you. Longer commitment from you, right? So for you to gain the deeper knowledge, that is where what happens in Diamond. It's not only about mental health, it's also about your physical health. You have dietitian, you have like different doctors who will be monitoring, morning, evening classes, and different kinds of activities which keep happening. And we have Diamond launch, and we have, uh, Trataka meditation on 14th February, which is going to start at 6:30. 14th, we are starting at 6:30. And 15th also we are going to start at 6:30. We have Grand Mahashivaratri celebrations and Nada Yoga by Dr. Meenakshi Raviji, and she's a leading music therapist. She's a Nada Yoga therapist, music therapist, and she's gonna come and do a therapy for all of us, music therapy. And we also have chanting and meditation. Mahamrityunjaya mantra chanting is also there on that day. So this is what— and also please make sure that you have watched the podcast This podcast is a very, very important podcast. I request all of you to watch. And if you have children, if you have spouse, and if you are a family person, make sure that you are watching this podcast. How the falling apart— from falling apart to shining together. The family was falling apart and how they came back together as a family and how they have rebuilt themselves.
