A short YouTube episode (10X in Under 10 Minutes) by Ben Chaib presenting the "culture flywheel": a three-phase framework (Model → Multiply → Maintain) to turn stated company values into repeatable behaviors that drive organizational velocity. The video defines common culture failures (values not modeled, behaviors not corrected, wins not reinforced), illustrates with an "ownership" example, and ends with a call-to-action referencing Ben Chaib's book and an offer to help implement the flywheel.

Culture isn't what you write on the wall. It's what your people experience in the hall. Every leader says they value integrity, ownership, innovation. But teams don't follow values.
They follow behavior.
Welcome to 10X in under 10 minutes.
I'm Ben Shai.
IB today we're talking about how to.
Build a culture flywheel. A self reinforcing loop that turns your values into velocity. Culture collapses in three moments. Number one, when values aren't modeled. Number two, when behaviors aren't corrected. And three, when wins aren't reinforced. Leaders often try to fix culture by adding perks, new office snacks, a wellness newsletter or a team outing. But culture isn't built through perks. It's built through patterns.
Every behavior you reward, tolerate or ignore.
Becomes part of your culture. Whether intentional or not, behavior always wins.
A company I worked with branded itself as ownership driven.
Their value statement said, we take initiative, we solve problems. But when an employee took initiative without asking for permission, he got reprimanded.
When someone tried a new approach, leadership pulled them back to the standard way. What happened?
The company's claimed culture didn't match its lived culture.
Within a year, innovation slowed, morale dropped and turnover spiked. Brand values didn't fail, behavior did. We rebuilt their culture using the culture flywheel. And within 90 days, engagement and execution skyrocketed. Here's the framework. The culture flywheel. Three phases. Phase one, model it. Leaders demonstrate the value. Phase two, multiply it. Recognize people who live the value. And phase three, maintain it. Correct behavior that breaks the value. Values become behavior. Behavior becomes habits.
Habits become culture.
And lastly, culture becomes velocity. If you skip any step, the flywheel slows. Example Ownership value model. The leader owns mistakes publicly multiply. Recognize team members who took initiative and maintain correct blame behavior immediately.
Culture doesn't grow through speeches, it grows through cycles.
Your 10x shift this week. Pick one value, just one. Apply the flywheel model. Multiply and maintain. Culture isn't built in a retreat. It's built in repetitions. I go deeper into this in my book the Human Connection Unlocking potential in business and Leadership. How to align behavior with belief so performance scales naturally.
