Have you ever been in a situation where you feel you have to make a very difficult decision, and maybe you don't know which one of the two options or three options to choose? They may both be bad options, or maybe they're two good options and you don't know which one to pick? Sometimes in life, our choices are not that clear. There's times in life in which we feel, okay, this is the good choice and this is the bad choice. But there's other times in life that you're almost caught in a catch 22. If I do this, then this is gonna happen and it's not good. Or if I do that, I'm gonna be in a disadvantaged position as well. We all encounter those crossroads, and the choices that we make may determine the rest of our lives. So what to do? For the most part, when I'm in that position and I don't know what to do, I do nothing. When you don't know what to do, you do nothing. Because many times, being stiff still is the right decision. Some people pray, some people ask other people what their opinions are. We consult our mentors, our parents, the people we admire. But many times we need to consult our soul. We need to look within, and we need to be still. I feel that the best way of gauging whether a decision is the right one or not, through peace. If you feel peace with going forward, moving forward with a decision, whether it's painful or not, peace has nothing to do with pain. You could be in pain, excruciating pain, and still feel peace. So when. When you have a choice to make, let's say you have to change, you know, you're considering the possibility of changing your daughter, your son from the school, because he or she is experiencing bullying or difficulties in the academics, or it's just. It's too far or they don't like the friends. Something's happening and you're like, but would it be good? Should I empower my child so that he or she can overcome that and keep him or her there, or should I move him from that environment? It's hard. It's hard because there's always consequences to our choices. And many times when the choices don't just affect us, but also the people we love, like our children or spouses or parents or our surroundings, then it's harder. Because if it's just you, I got this. But most of the time, the very difficult decisions totally impact the people around us, the people that we care about. So when you have to make a decision, the first Thing you want to think is, do I have to make it right this moment? There are times in which you have to say yes. No. You're in the doctor in the hospital, and they're telling you, do I resuscitate you? If something happens during the surgery and you have to say yes or no, do you want to donate your organs because you're going into surgery? Yes. No. Yes. You have to make a decision at that point, and we may not be able to wait for that peace. But usually my experience has been that if you have to make that decision in that right moment, you do have some sort of peace, or you're more inclined to choosing one over the other. But the majority of times that's not the case. We worry and worry and worry about, oh, my gosh, do I stay married to this person? Oh, my gosh, do I change my kid from the school? But hey, or in January, and you wouldn't do that until May or June or August, actually, so why stress so much about it? Now, be still. And if you believe in God and the electric power, the universe, Mother Nature, whatever you believe in, that higher power, pray to ask for wisdom, ask for guidance, ask for discernment. What should I do? God, universe, Mother Nature, what would be best for us? Because the thing about prayer is that whatever you believe in is like a satellite. You know, the gps, There's a satellite looking at all the streets from above, and they know everything that's going on, whereas we just see what's in front of us and just at a distance. Well, if you think of the higher power as a gps, a satellite, God is up there, you know, seeing that there's an accident a few blocks from you when you turn right. But you say, no, I want to take this route, because this route takes me to my destination faster. And I know it. I know it from. From previous times. I've done it before. But then the GPS tells you, no, take that expressway. You're like, what? That's crazy. You know, I'm going away from where I want to go and then coming back, and then you keep on going your way because you know better than everybody and you're so smart. And then the GPS goes, recalculating, make a U turn. And you're like, this thing, Recalculating, make a U turn. That's lack of peace. When you find yourself, like, struggling, like, oh, no, but maybe I choose this school. But, no, this is better. Or maybe I should get a divorce. Oh, my gosh. But that's gonna hurt the kids. So much. And what if I haven't done enough? And what if I. I need to do more? And you question yourself and you ask everybody and everybody has a different opinion. And you have all these sources instead of paying attention to the gps, the GPS knows where it's taking you, and it's considering traffic, and it's considering everything that's going on in that area. Listen to it. Be still. Be still. Listen to your inner wisdom. Listen to that voice that speaks to you. If there's too much noise going on, you're not going to be able to hear it. So whenever you have to make a very difficult decision that affects the people that you love, be still. If you don't know what to do, do nothing. And wait until that moment that you feel peace, that it feels right to proceed a certain way. My experience has been that every single time, sometimes it's like the minute I was supposed to make the decision, it just came out of my mouth, and I had no idea that it was going to. But we don't. We get desperate and we want to jump the gun and we don't want to wait. And we want peace right now. But peace comes when peace is needed. The timing is perfect, so don't stop worrying because you're imposing that upon yourself. Many times I'm like, I don't know how I'm gonna do this, but I have to do it. I have to do it. And I just go and I go and I keep on walking, and I'm getting there. I'm like, God, you haven't told me anything. Hook it up. I'm almost there. You have five minutes. Five minutes to tell me. And sometimes he tells me five minutes prior or maybe an hour or a couple days, and other times I am right there, standing there, and the words come out of my mouth without me having planned them or reasoned them or justified them or any of that. But when you find peace, that's when you can make a decision that's going to impact the people around you that you love and feel confident about it before then. Be still. Sa.
